Master Rule Set & Code of Ethics - Urgent Fury

Urgent Fury is not your normal gaming site. There are numerous rules and standards here at Urgent Fury as well as our product, which set us apart from all the other online gaming sites.

While the product that we offer is unique and it alone sets us apart from all the others, there is something much more, that in our opinion sets us apart from all the other offerings out there. It is what we feel makes Urgent Fury an Elite gaming site.

That something is our community. Over the years, Urgent Fury has built a community based on some very simple principles. While these principles are simple, they are required to compete here at Urgent Fury.

Maturity- Due to the nature of gaming and the competition aspect of it, there will always be situations where differences of opinions occur. We know and understand this. We have no issue with a difference of opinions, however when we have such occurrences, we ask that the parties do so in a mature manner. We expect individuals to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Respect – We also ask that you be respectful to each and every member of this community. Whether it is in game or on the forums, we expect you to respect all members of this community. You must also respect the game and tournaments that you are playing in. This means to abide by all the rules set forth by the rules for the game and the rules for the community.

That brings us to our rules and standards mentioned above. While each and every tournament offering we have here will have specific rules for those offerings, there are numerous rules that are included for all our offerings. We have already mentioned 2 standards we have here and that is MATURITY and RESPECT for all community members, staff and the tournaments you play in. Below is a list of all other common rules and standards here at UF.

Game Rules

1: NO CHEATING – This includes many ways in which people try to gain an advantage over their opponent by using methods not included within the game. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • External software
    • Hacks
    • Codes
    • Mods to console or controller
    • Lag switches or lag programs or the practice of downloading and uploading programs while playing game to create lag

2: NO GLITCHING – This is the act of breaking pixels or performing unnatural actions to gain access to a part of the map that was not, intended to be accessed. While there may be many of these areas that can be subjective, there is a simple rule of thumb to go by. We here at Urgent Fury will always do our best to let the community what we deem is an off limit spot. Gamers will continue to find more and more ways to exploit the maps and this list is ever evolving. The rule of thumb is this. If the spot you are using has EVER been questioned, you need to ask the staff if the place is considered legal here at UF, if it is not included as an illegal spot on any of the rules. It may not be included as it may be a new exploit that we have yet to make a determination on. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • Getting inside the map
    • Getting outside the map
    • Getting underneath the map
    • Getting above the map
    • Gaining access to spots that do not appear to be a developer intended spot. This usually includes special steps to take to reach these spots.

3: NO SOFTSPOTTING – This is the action of getting inside a solid object for the purpose of concealing your body. A place where the object should be solid and not allow for such actions. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • Sinking into the hard ground
    • Sinking into a floor
    • Sinking into a box
    • Sinking into a rock
    • Sliding partially into a wall or any solid object, to shoot through it

4: NO BOOSTING – This is the practice of using an explosive or gunshot to obtain a spot otherwise inaccessible. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • Using a claymore to boost your jump
    • Using C-4 to boost your jump
    • Using a grenade to boost your jump
    • Having someone shoot you while jumping to boost your jump

5: NO OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION – This is the use of communications outside the scope of the game communications. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • AIM or any other IM service
    • Skype
    • X-Fire
    • PSN Chat
    • XBOX Live Chat
    • Text message
    • Shout boxes

6: NO TAUNTING – There is to be no taunting of your opponents. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • No dancing on dead bodies
    • No shooting of dead bodies
    • No taunting through proximity mic
    • No taunting through in game text taunts

7: NO RINGERS – The use of players who are not on your submitted roster is prohibited. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • Being short on war night and having players play under another’s name
    • Adding names to your roster that more than one person knows the name and pass for to use in case you are shorthanded.

8: NO RACIST or DEROGATORY LANGUAGE - The use of derogatory words to incite individuals is not allowed. This includes any of, but not limited to the following:

    • Words of a racial nature
    • Words of a sexual preference nature
    • No threats or threatening language
    • No derogatory religious or political remarks

9: NO SOLICITING OF UF CLANS FOR OTHER SITES - You are not to use any part of UF to solicit clans to a competing site. This includes but is not limited to the following:

    • UF Forums
    • UF PM system
    • UF gaming events

10: GAME PLAY ISSUES and ROOM REMAKES – From time to time, there can be issues that may require a room to be remade. In the event your team feels that there is an issue within the game that requires a room to be remade, you are to contact your opponent and let them know of the issue, before you leave a room. It is imperative that you notify them prior to you leaving a room. You have to get a response from them as well. If they do not respond, you have to contact them 2 more times. If they still do not respond it is up to you and your team to make sure if you leave, that you know you are within your right to do so. This means to read the rules and make sure you know them. You must have this documented for your case.

If you leave a war without contacting your opponent, it will be considered a forfeit. If you leave a room after you have contacted your opponent 3 times with no response, then it will be up to the Admins for your tourney to decide if you were within the rules to have done so. If you contact your opponent before leaving a room and they agree to the remake, then the match will stand as whatever the results are in the remade room. The opponent also has the right to say no. The room is okay and we have no actions that dictate a remade room and they can choose not to play in a remade room. In this case it will then become an Admin decision.

We at UF can not control the online aspect of the games we play here at UF. Every now and then a new situation that will arise with either a new game and or patch. In these new situations we try and look at every aspect of the game and rule in the best interest of the UF community. We will look at any and all similar situations and rulings that may help in making a ruling in the new event.

The following are events that are not considered to be reasons for a remade room but are not limited to:

    • Lag
    • Room Made Wrong

While the above are not considered reason for a room to be remade, if the 2 teams have contact and mutually agree to remake, UF will then honor that and the results from the remade room will stand, provided that you have proof that both teams agreed to the remake. If one of the team decides they do not wish to remake it is within their right and they can play as is and they should not be looked downed upon.

The following are events that are reasons for a room to be remade but are not limited to:

    • Unwanted Guests Joining the Room
    • Mass Boot - The rules regarding a Mass Boot for your tournament have to be met.

*Any violations of the above, will result in a strict penalty being imposed by UF. The severity of the penalty will be in direct correlation of the offense. This could be anywhere from a warning to the offending clan or individuals, up to expulsion of the offending clan or individuals.

1: NO FLAMING - You must conduct yourself in a mature manner on the forum. Everyone has an opinion and entitled to it if they do so in a mature manner.

2: NO CONDUCTING of WAR ISSUES IN THE PUBLIC FORUM – Any and all issues that arise during competition, must be addressed in the Clan Rep section by your team elected Clan Rep.
