Octopath Traveler 0 comes out for PS5 and PS4 on December 4, 2025… but who wants to wait that long? You can start your adventure today in the new free demo! This generous chunk of game lets you play through the opening prologue, and play through the first chapter of multiple story arcs… or for three hours. Whichever comes first. And yes – progress does carry over to the full game. The demo’s not the only thing that’s dropped today – as part of today’s reveal we also released a brand-new trailer that gives you some enticing insight into the game’s brilliant story. Take a look: Play Video Read on and we’ll tell you what you can do in the demo – and how you can get it. First, though, we should introduce the game itself: What is Octopath Traveler 0? Octopath Traveler 0 is an HD-2D RPG that offers a fresh take on the acclaimed series. Rather than eight separate characters and stories as in previous games, Octopath Traveler 0 follows your customizable protagonist on a journey to find those who destroyed your hometown Wishvale – and bring them to justice! Not only that, but you’ll also have the opportunity to rebuild your town, placing buildings, decorations and more to make it feel like… well, a home. It’s a stirring tale of revenge and retribution, with more than 30 allies to recruit, each with their own stories. Not to mention thrillingly strategic turn-based battles with up to eight party members at a time, and beautiful visuals thanks to the series’ signature HD-2D graphics. Oh, and in true Octopath fashion, it also has one of the best soundtracks you’ll hear this year. You can get a taste of all of this, of course, in the new demo! What’s included in the free demo? One of the first things you’ll do in the Octopath Traveler 0 demo is make your protagonist! For the first time in the series, you get to design the main character yourself, choosing an appearance and a few other features that suit your personal style. Then, you play through the game’s prologue. The town of Wishvale is celebrating its annual Day of Reverence and about to light the blue flame that protects peace. The festive atmosphere is brought to a sudden stop when the town is attacked and engulfed in red flames. In the aftermath, your plucky protagonist sets out on a mission to find those responsible. Once you’re done with the prologue, you have a lot of freedom in what you do and how you explore. The game features three antagonists, known as Masters, who each have their own story arc. In the demo, you can play through the first chapter of all three ‘Master of’ arcs, as well as the ‘Kindlers of the Flame’ story, which introduces the restoration of Wishvale and its town-building mechanics. The demo lasts for three hours – and you can play through as much of that content as you like in that time. What can you expect from the battle system? Whichever arc you choose to play, you’ll get to experience the game’s super satisfying turn-based battles. The game uses the acclaimed ‘Break & Boost’ battle system, which is based around exploiting enemy weaknesses to whittle down their Shield Points and break them. Once broken, an enemy is stunned and vulnerable to attacks. Each turn, characters in your party also accumulate Boost Points (BP). These can be spent to attack multiple times in a single turn, strengthen certain attacks, increase the potency of healing and buffs and more. The key to success is knowing when to use BP and when to hold them. For example, is it worth using multiple attacks to break an enemy now, or should you save them for when your foe is vulnerable so you can maximize damage? Each fight is a fun, strategic challenge. You’ll meet some allies in the demo, and the combat system only expands further in the main game. You’ll be able to recruit more than 30 characters to your team, and battle with up to eight of them in the party at a time. You’ll have a front and back row in battle, and have the ability to switch between them even mid-fight. That means more BP to play with, and faster battles with even more strategic depth! How does town-building factor into the demo? Your journey’s not just about retribution – it’s about restoration as well. During the demo, you’ll be able to start rebuilding Wishvale and explore the new town creation mechanics. You can place buildings, decorations and more as you start to build a settlement that feels uniquely yours. As you build Wishvale in the demo and in the full game, you’ll add more residents and facilities, which can supply items and equipment, train your party with new skills and more to help you on your adventures. As you adventure, you’ll collect valuable resources and potential residents that you can use to expand and improve Wishvale. There’s a lot of depth to the town-building in the game, and you’ll get to lay some strong foundations in the free demo, before you unleash your creativity in the final game! Do you need to have played Ocopath Traveler I or II to play this? Octopath Traveler 0 is set in Orsterra – the setting for the original Octopath Traveler. However, the game starts before the events of that game, and tells its own, unconnected story, so you’re not missing any vital narrative if you’ve never played an Octopath game before. That said, If you do have save files on the same console for Octopath Traveler I, Octopath Traveler II (and even Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake or Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake!), you’ll also earn some useful items or customization items for your town in the full game. How do you get the Octopath Traveler 0 demo? The Octopath Traveler 0 demo is available today for PS5 and PS4. To get it, simply visit PlayStation Store. We hope you like what you play! If you do, you can preorder the full game – and doing so gets you some neat in-game rewards when it launches: 5 Healing Grapes (M) 5 Inspiriting Plums (M) 2 Revitalizing Jam Action Skill: Icewind Mastery Octopath Traveler 0 comes out for PS5 and PS4 on December 4, but start your adventure today with the free demo! Hi everyone. I am Michael Jiang, CEO at 91Act and Director of BlazBlue Entropy Effect X. In our latest reveal today you’ll see a glimpse of a world on the brink—where everything familiar is collapsing. Yet, hope still remains in one unique existence: A special one who is capable of diving into the Sea of Possibility, battling across twisted dimensions, gathering the mysterious Shards of Possibility, and uncovering the truth behind the world’s impending destruction. That existence… is you, operating under the codename Ace. That’s the essence of the game we’re creating—BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, a roguelike adventure coming to PS5 on February 12, 2026. Today, taking this opportunity, I’d love to walk you through what makes this project special—straight from our dev team, to you. Firstly, please enjoy the reveal trailer below. Play Video An epic remix of roguelite gameplay infused with the DNA of BlazBlue You’ll recognize that feeling right away—crisp, responsive inputs, stylish combos, and that perfect i-frame when you nail a last-second dodge. Choose from a roster of beloved characters from the BlazBlue universe as your avatar and unleash their signature techniques—yes, Carnage Scissors and Hiyoku Getsumei included. But this time, it’s not a one-on-one duel. In BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, you’ll face off against surging hordes across ever-shifting dimensions in an action-focused roguelike platform adventure. The Sea of Possibility is envisioned as a descent through multiple levels, each filled with threats you’ll need to suppress while harvesting Shards of Possibility. Along the way, you’ll uncover a completely new, original story that expands the BlazBlue Entropy Effect X universe in unexpected ways. Read the swarm, weave through danger, and strike back with combos and strings that never let up. Ultimate Buildcraft: Tactics and Potentials To match the scale of the chaos that players are facing, we built a progression system around two pillars—Tactics and Potentials, designed to evolve your run every time you take a dive into the Sea of Possibility. Tactics are universal augments shared across all characters. Think of them as special power ups layered onto normal actions: electrify nearby foes while dashing, call down lances of light every time when you trigger a super, or periodically spawn a gravity field that drags enemies into a shredding vortex. They enhance your movement, dodges, and attacks — more effect but not more finger gymnastics. Potentials, on the other hand, are character-specific upgrades tied to each avatar’s signature moves. They boost damage, speed, and range; unlock new follow-ups; extend i-frames; or even introduce powerful special effects such as hp regen on hit. Because every character has a different way of play, Potentials thus naturally create new strings and combos, and eventually unique playstyles. Defeat your enemies, make your choice, and keep stacking power-ups — one decision at a time, your build takes shape every time. Why it is called the “Sea of Possibility” With a growing roster of characters from BlazBlue universe, hundreds of Potentials enhance each character’s moveset, and six distinct Tactics styles offering a galore of universal augments that slot onto movement, attacks, and defense, players can get a near-endless combinations and enjoy all different runs every time they take a dive into the Sea of Possibility. Be it a precision assassin that neutralize any threats before they even blink; a counter-focused sword master who punishes by turning perfect guards into executions; or a calm grand strategist who barely moves while heeding the elemental forces to do the heavy lifting. We’ve built the framework for possibility—your win condition is at your own hand. Pre-order BlazBlue Entropy Effect X on PlayStation Store today We’re still a little away from the actual launch, but pre-orders open today on PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus members can enjoy a 10% discount and an exclusive in-game content pack during the pre-order period only. The Deluxe Edition includes multiple character palettes for all in-game characters and the complete 91-track original soundtrack. See you in the Lab Every dive will be a fresh experience. You’ll fail, learn, and return stronger than ever—each descent bringing you closer to the answer behind infinite possibility. Descend into the Sea of Possibility on February 12, 2026. As you journey through dangerous areas, you’ll feel heart-pounding tension, yet back in the safety of your home village, you can enjoy a sense of accomplishment through building and crafting. This contrast is at the heart of Never Grave, and we’re excited for players around the world to experience them! And if this is the first time you’ve seeing our game, something might come as a surprise: you won’t be playing as the witch, but the hat (yes, really)! You can utilize the unique Possession system to take control of a defeated enemy to use their abilities. This feature is not just for fighting with. Various puzzles will block your path, so clever use of the Possession system will be key to moving forward. Choosing which enemies to possess will shape your progress through the game. Experiment, adapt, and create your own journey! Find your own “ultimate build” Since we wanted character progression to be just as fun and rewarding, we designed two core systems for growth. The first is the skill tree, allowing you to permanently strengthen your character using materials gathered in dungeons and the village. The second is the wide variety of equipment you can collect during your adventures. By steadily improving your base stats through the skill tree and combining them with the gear you find, it’s possible to create completely different builds each time. Whether it’s “all-out brute force!”, “cunning magic!”, or “full exploration mode!”, anything is possible. Even within our development team, some surprising builds have cleared dungeons in ways we never imagined. We’re looking forward to seeing the various builds that you’ll come up with! Online co-op with friends Never Grave can be played solo, but we also designed the game to support online co-op for up to four players! Whether it’s teaming up to challenge powerful enemies, or letting your friends handle combat while you focus on improving the village, we welcome all kinds of playstyles. Whether you fight, build, or explore, the adventure is yours to shape! Thrilling boss battles Bosses can be found at the heart of each dungeon, and we made them pretty difficult to beat. From the overwhelming laser blasts of a colossal golem, to the raging storms conjured by the guardian of the botanical garden, to rivers of molten lava controlled by the lord of the volcano, we packed in a wide variety of unique and unpredictable mechanics. Learn your enemies, utilize the Possession system, and discover the strategy that works best for you. A dark tale of souls and curses awaits The story opens with a shocking scene: a young witch has her soul stolen by the Ancient Witch and is cursed to wander the world, unable even to die. Can the curse be broken, and the stolen soul reclaimed? Your journey to break the curse and help reclaim her soul begins here! We’ve shared quite a bit about what makes Never Grave special. How does it sound so far? Our entire team is now working hard on the final stages of development to deliver the best possible experience to everyone. We’ll be sharing more updates in the future, so be sure to follow our social accounts for news and announcements. We look forward to seeing you in the dungeons! View the full article

The release date for the Japanese horror adventure game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake has been set for March 12, 2026, and pre-orders for the digital version on PlayStation Store begin today. Play Video This is a full remake of the second title in the Japanese horror adventure Fatal Frame series, Fatal Frame/Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly, released in 2003. Twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura wander into an abandoned and cursed village infested with wraith, and use the Camera Obscura, a special camera that has the ability to capture and contain the impossible, to fight against the wraith. Characters Mio Amakura Voice: Yui Kondo The younger of the twin sisters. Lively and cheerful by nature. As a child, Mio blamed herself when her sister Mayu fell from a cliff and injured her leg. Ever since, she has been deeply protective of her. Together, the sisters stray into Minakami Village, a place haunted by vengeful spirits. Determined to save her sister, Mio searches for a way to escape the cursed village. Mayu Amakura Voice: Haruka Shiraishi The elder of the twin sisters. Quiet, reserved, and introspective by nature. As a child, she slipped on a mountain path and injured her right leg, and to this day is unable to run as she once could. Because of this, she relies deeply on her younger sister, Mio. She has a strong supernatural sense and becomes possessed by a spirit that leads her deep inside Minakami Village. Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly returns—beautifully remade Every element has been enhanced — from graphics and sound to controls. The texture of each character’s skin and clothing has been meticulously refined, while the setting of Minakami Village has been beautifully reimagined with striking contrasts of light and shadow to create an atmosphere that is both haunting and lifelike. The spirits can appear when least expected. They may grab your hand as you reach for an item, or await you beyond a door you’ve just opened, reminding players that danger lurks in every shadow. Quick reactions allow players to evade these sudden attacks, but failure to do so will result in Spirit Power Damage, leading directly into an intense battle against the wraith. Grab Attack Leer Attack New feature: Hold Hands with Mayu By holding Mayu’s hand, players can restore both Health and Spirit Power. However, when Mayu is in danger, she may fall, requiring Mio to get close and help her up. Holding hands allows players to feel the sisters’ bond more deeply throughout the story. Evolved Camera Obscura The series’ signature system—repelling wraiths by photographing them with the Camera Obscura—returns in this title, now enhanced with new functions such as focus, zoom, and switching filters. These additions expand the depth of gameplay, allowing for a richer use of the Camera Obscura in both exploration and combat. Digital Deluxe Edition In addition to the base game, the Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for pre-order and includes the base game along with the Digital Soundtrack and Digital Art Book and the Digital Deluxe Bonus Set, featuring the Deluxe Charm, Lace Gloves (White) / Lace Gloves (Black), and the Japanese Gothic (Left Wing) / Japanese Gothic (Right Wing), each designed to reflect the haunting world of Crimson Butterfly. A separate Digital Deluxe Upgrade, which contains the same bonus content without the base game, is also available for players who own the standard edition. We hope you’re excited to delve into the Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake when it launches on March 12, 2026. View the full article

During today’s show, the BrokenLore series shared two major updates: a brand-new trailer and the January 16 release date announcement for BrokenLore: Unfollow, and the surprise reveal of BrokenLore: Ascend, a high-altitude psychological horror experience that expands the series in a bold new direction. Play Video BrokenLore is a single-player psychological-horror anthology: each game stands alone yet feeds a larger mystery spanning the series. Every chapter follows a different protagonist facing very human fears—identity, shame, the pressure to be seen—translated into oppressive liminal spaces, diegetic puzzles, and predator-prey chases. What sets BrokenLore apart is how the world shifts with the character’s psyche: at emotional breaking points, reality degrades into uncanny retro layers, exposing hidden rules, routes, and secrets that interlink the entries. You can start anywhere and get a complete story, but those who dig deeper will piece together a meta-narrative through optional clues, collectibles, and alternate endings—horror that hits hard in the moment and lingers long after the credits. BrokenLore: Unfollow — A deeper look at Anne’s nightmare BrokenLore: Unfollow is a first-person psychological horror game that explores the dark side of social media. It invites players to step into the role of Anne, a young woman haunted by the trauma of bullying and trapped in a surreal nightmare where she must confront the echoes of her past. The new trailer revealed today offers fresh glimpses of its surreal, shifting spaces and the oppressive presence that stalks her journey. Here, the familiar is distorted; symbols and memories refract into unsettling forms, challenging players to read between the lines and confront what Anne has tried to suppress. You’ll rely on Anne’s smartphone to probe the darkness, reveal clues, and survive encounters with manifestations of her fears. Each area functions as both puzzle and metaphor, reinforcing BrokenLore’s signature blend of psychological tension and social commentary without sacrificing immediacy or dread. BrokenLore: Unfollow launches on January 16, 2026 for PS5. BrokenLore: Ascend — Reaching for recognition, confronting fear Play Video Revealed for the first time, BrokenLore: Ascend fuses the series’ psychological horror with climbing-driven gameplay set in a haunting reimagining of Tokyo. Players ascend an immense tower that pierces the city skyline, where every step upward feels like defying gravity and sanity alike. Players follow Ren and Yui, partners whose pursuit of visibility drives them into a perilous vertical journey. The trailer teases moments of precision traversal, leaps across unstable routes, and coordinated interactions between the duo as they fight to keep their balance—physically and emotionally. Haunting the ascent is a Rokurokubi-inspired entity whose unnaturally extending neck threads through the structure, turning the environment itself into a hunter. Ascend builds fear from exposure rather than confinement: altitude, wind, and narrow footing become part of the survival equation, while the relationship between Ren and Yui grounds the experience in human stakes. BrokenLore: Ascend is planned for Summer 2026 on PS5. Wishlist and stay tuned Both titles carry forward BrokenLore’s focus on psychological depth, symbolic design, and thematic boldness—one peering inward at intimate nightmares, the other casting fear against open air and unforgiving heights. Wishlist Unfollow and Ascend at PlayStation Store to stay updated as we approach launch. View the full article

The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos. When Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on PS5 and PS4 on November 14, players will face new and returning threats in the co-op Campaign, culminating in the replayable Endgame experience. With game launch only days away, let’s take a closer look at the story so far, followed by more Endgame intel. Play Video Co-op Campaign and Endgame In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, PlayStation players will experience an innovative Co-op Campaign that redefines the Black Ops experience. Squad up or go solo across a wide spectrum of high-stakes missions. From the neon-lit rooftops of Japan to the Mediterranean coast, uncover the truth behind The Guild and the weapon threatening to turn fear itself into a weapon of war. Players will also experience Avalon, an expansive city whose secrets ripple across the Campaign. One overriding goal with the story of Black Ops 7 was to tell a story that could stand on its own while honoring the legacy of the series. Throughout development, there were meaningful opportunities allowing the reconnection of characters and storylines from earlier Black Ops titles, bringing them into this near-future setting where their presence could elevate the experience. However, it was important to ensure that even players without knowledge of Black Ops lore should expect a deeply immersive and connected story and world. After completing the first 11 co-op Campaign missions, players unlock the Endgame, a replayable co-op experience designed for 1–32 players in squads of up to four. Fight through escalating exposure zones throughout Avalon, leveling up Skill Tracks and Combat Ratings, completing dynamic Assignments, and escaping to preserve your hard-earned progress, all while earning Level and Weapon XP and unlocking Weapon Camos. The Endgame journey Your C-Link C.O.M.B.A.T. OS unlocks full Loadout customization. Your ultimate goal is to gain enough power to reach the highest exposure zones, where something is leaking massive amounts of toxin into Avalon. Players begin by selecting an Operator and a Major and Minor Ability, defining your Operator’s unique approach to combat, including abilities like the Hand Cannon, Active Camo, Grappling Hook, and more. Complete your Loadout, deploy, and then gain power in a match by completing objectives and defeating enemies to raise your Operator’s Combat Rating. When your Combat Rating levels up, you’re given the opportunity to choose one of two Skill Tracks or Skills. These Skills continue to expand as your Operator’s Combat Rating improves over time to the max level of 60. There are six Skill Tracks in all, from the Gunner with Skills like improved Reload Speed and Fast Weapon Swap to the Surgeon with Skills like enhanced Health Recovery and Fast Revive. If you’re killed in action, you lose it all. Get in, power up, and get out. The story so far It starts with Menendez, the Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 villain who has returned, threatening to plunge the world back into darkness. Raul Menendez “Once again, you shall know fear.” — Raul Menendez Raul Menendez first appears in 1986 as the leader of the Menendez Cartel. He has captured CIA operative Frank Woods and left him for dead. When Alex Mason learns of his friend’s plight, he leaves his son David behind to save Woods. Woods yearns for revenge, getting the greenlight to invade the villain’s home. In the confusion of battle, Woods throws a grenade inside the house, accidentally killing Menendez’s sister, Josefina. Several years later, Menendez gets even by tricking Woods into shooting Alex Mason. The villain then blasts Woods in both knees, crippling him. As Menendez suffers, now too shall Woods. Menendez goes on to form the political movement Cordis Die, spreading propaganda depicting the organization as a defender of the globally impoverished while covertly inciting a second Cold War. Alex Mason’s son, David, with the help of Woods, is finally able to put a stop to Menendez. Following a multi-generational manhunt, he puts the villain to rest… or so he thinks. The next frontier: The Guild As the world recoils at the news of Menendez’s return, The Guild, a global tech giant led by CEO Emma Kagan, rises to the challenge of defending humanity, promising peace through security using advanced tech to safeguard citizens and stand in open defiance against Menendez and his followers. The fight continues: David and JSOC Though they’re both enemies of Menendez, David Mason harbors doubts about The Guild’s true motives. It’s up to him and his cohort of elite JSOC Operators to get to the truth of it all, including reports of a weapon engineered to turn fear into an instrument of chaos. Preorder Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Black Ops 7 launches on November 14. Preorder your copy today. View the full article

Lumines Arise releases tomorrow, November 11, 2025, on PlayStation 5. It’s been over 20 years since the original Lumines was released at the launch of the PlayStation Portable in 2004. Lumines Arise is a complete reimagining of the series’ block-dropping puzzle gameplay using the latest technology possible on the PS5 (with optional PS VR2 compatibility). We’re confident that you’ve never had a puzzle game take you on an emotional, sound-and-light-filled, synesthetic journey quite like this, whether you’re a longtime fan or picking up Lumines for the very first time. I’m Game Director Takashi Ishihara from Enhance, and I’d like to take this opportunity, alongside Executive Producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi, on this release-day eve to reveal some behind-the-scenes info on the game’s development and share with you why we think Lumines Arise is so different. You may be familiar with our previous title, Tetris Effect: Connected (available on PS4 and PS5, and also optionally playable in PSVR/PS VR2). Believe it or not, that game took a lot of influence from prior Lumines titles. In turn, Lumines Arise now incorporates many of the things we learned during the development of Tetris Effect, bringing them back into Lumines. Tetris Effect and Lumines: A shared language If you’re even a little bit familiar with Tetris Effect: Connected, one look at Lumines Arise and you can tell it comes from the same development team. Playing either one may make it seem like inducing synesthesia (a phenomenon where stimulating one sense involuntarily stimulates others simultaneously) was effortless, but it was actually incredibly difficult to pull off! At Enhance, synesthesia is an everyday word and exploring this sensory crossover concept continues with Lumines Arise—we wanted every stage in the game to link the experience with your emotions as well. Tetris Effect: Connected did this too, and its Journey mode narrative (though subtle) resonated deeply with players, inciting some powerful emotions in players by the end of the game. To do this effectively, we had to construct a shared vocabulary within the development team to communicate to each other the vision of what we wanted to achieve in each stage, the feelings we wanted players to feel, and whether or not we were meeting that goal. Being open and honest about what you’re seeing and feeling can be difficult in any work environment, but even with new members joining the team that weren’t part of Tetris Effect: Connected, we were able to do it. Divergent journeys In Tetris Effect: Connected, we depicted a journey of the heart using music, lyrics, and visuals. For Lumines Arise, the single-player Journey mode is about your personal progression from darkness into the light. Although they appear similar, the puzzle gameplay in each is distinctly different. And the differences don’t stop there. With Tetris Effect, we tried to create a “zen-like” state where players could enter a flow that impacts your inner self. Lumines Arise is the opposite—this is an outward journey where you start alone on the first stage and embark into the outside world, encountering various stimuli, experiencing diverse emotions, and meeting other Loomii player avatars along the way. This is the “Arise” part of Lumines Arise. The narrative of leaving your comfort zone, getting out into the world, and discovering something new. Where Tetris Effect’s visuals were often abstract and introspective, Lumines Arise transports you to real-world environments, including neon-filled city streets (Neon Streets), a peaceful winter landscape (Snowfall), a chaotic nightclub (Mirror Ball), and serene coastal vistas (Island Breeze). Some levels connect you to food so closely you can taste it (yes—Slice & Dice has fruits and vegetables) or creatures you might encounter out in the world, so you can experience their beauty (Goldfish Tango, Seahorse Sway) or fearsome nature (Spider Webs or Serpent Clash). This “out in the open” narrative is something we wanted to challenge players with in Lumines Arise. The single-player Journey mode has over 35 stages, and we hope you’ll share what feelings and emotions arose during your experience. Committed to puzzle games When many people hear “puzzle game,” they might imagine something easily playable on a handheld device. However, there’s a reason why we at Enhance dare to continue pursuing puzzle games using consoles connected to your TV or in VR. Puzzle games are a genre that, until now, haven’t significantly evolved or changed in terms of music, visuals, or overall experience. We want to change that. Unlike other games that are more of the “easily enjoyable for a short time” variety, we want to create experiences designed for deeper immersion in a living room, a private space, or VR, allowing players to “play for a long time, forever.” Puzzle games are well-suited for the type of synesthesia connection we at Enhance strive to deliver—games that just feel good to play. Don’t worry, though—we want to make games in this and other genres that are fun, too! Not only is Lumines Arise a fully formed single-player game, but we also have competitive cross-platform multiplayer, leaderboards you can tackle solo, a variety of rule-changing Missions, and more. Astro Bot lands in Lumines We’ve been eager to collaborate with other game creators and forge a connection between Lumines Arise and other game worlds as well. With Lumines Arise releasing on PlayStation 5, an Astro Bot collab was at the very top of our wishlist. Thanks to the amazing people at Team Asobi and PlayStation, we were able to make it happen! We thought, “What would happen if Astro Bot entered the world of Lumines Arise?” Our biggest concern was balancing the look of our world with the impeccable charm of Astro Bot. We needed to merge Astro’s adorable silhouette and design with the visual style of Lumines in a way that felt natural. We truly had to “feel” our way through it. We also received direct feedback from Nicolas Doucet, the director of Astro Bot. His comments deepened our already strong appreciation for Astro and spurred us to create something great. The completed Loomi’s adorable yet sharp dance moves perfectly sync with Lumines Arise’s music. I think Astro Bot fans are gonna love it, too. What do you think? Astro Bot is available exclusively as part of the Lumines Arise Digital Deluxe Edition. Please enjoy working your way through Journey mode with Astro Bot, or playing together as a partner in Burst Battle multiplayer battles. Tips From the developers Finally, for everyone playing starting tomorrow, here are a few simple tips from me to help you improve at Lumines Arise. Master the Timeline In Lumines, Squares you create don’t disappear immediately. They only clear when the Timeline passes across the screen from left to right and reaches them. The key to high scores is judging the Timeline’s position and deciding whether you can build Squares before its next pass. If you rush and stack too many blocks, you might not be able to form large Squares. The strategic trick is to deliberately hold off on stacking blocks, then build a large Square all at once right after the Timeline passes! Use the Center and Sides of the Playfield If you get tricky blocks like a Checkerboard block that’s hard to use to form Squares easily, don’t hesitate to drop them into the open space on either side. Moving blocks left or right wastes time, so focus on forming Squares in the center and dropping unwanted blocks to the sides—essentially keeping your workspace clean. This makes forming Squares much easier. New Players, Check Out Training Missions While the rules of Lumines Arise are simple—create Squares to clear them—you might find yourself wondering at first, “How do I boost my score?” or “How do I aim for Combos?” When that happens, try going into Missions and trying the Training Missions found within. Here, you’ll find 60 different challenges, covering everything from basic techniques that’ll improve your puzzle play to useful advanced techniques. You can learn step by step, at your own pace, and repeat any of these to keep honing your skills. We highly recommend checking it out. The entire Lumines Arise team has been eagerly awaiting the day we could finally deliver this game to PlayStation fans. We hope you’ll immerse yourself in the exhilarating experience created by the perfect harmony of puzzle action and its corresponding sound and light effects. There’s still time for PS Plus members to grab a 10% discount by pre-ordering, so be sure to take advantage of this offer. We look forward to welcoming you to the world of Lumines Arise on PS5 (and optional PS VR2 compatibility) starting tomorrow! View the full article

Hello everyone. Eric from EverStone Studio, the team behind the Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG, Where Winds Meet. I’m here to give you the low-down on all the exciting content we unveiled at our recent preview event and what you can expect at launch on November 14. Where Winds Meet drops you into China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, a time of upheaval, change, and opportunity. It’s a true living world, filled with branching stories, side quests, and choices that matter. Where Winds Meet is about living your own story in a world that feels real. You can go anywhere, fight anyone, and become whoever you want. Master the battle and meet with legends Combat is fast, flexible, and full of style. You can master traditional weapons like the sword, spear, Mo blade, and rope dart, or try creative ones like the umbrella and fan. Each has its own rhythm and tactics, backed by 12 Martial Arts sets and 23 mystical techniques. For the animations, we teamed up with Stephen Tung Wai, a four-time Hong Kong Film Award winner for Best Action Choreography. Today we’re introducing a new weapon—the Rope Dart. This weapon is designed to use its unique strengths to target an enemy’s weaknesses, leveraging its flexibility and cunning to overcome stronger opponents. It’s a weapon that proves how softness can conquer hardness, the few can challenge the many, and cleverness can overpower brute force—even a mouse can tie up a tiger! Martial arts are the heart of every Jianghu dream, and compelling combat lies at the core of any great wuxia game. And there’s more to come! Several new weapons and techniques are currently in development, each set to enrich the world of Where Winds Meet in the future. You Kung Fu masters out there have a lot to look forward to, too. There are lots of bosses and enemies with different fighting styles across dozens of campaigns and regions. In our latest reveal, players are introduced to a mysterious character previously known only as a shadowy manipulator looming behind the scenes , a pivotal figure whose presence has long been sensed but never clearly seen. This elusive strategist is none other than the widely renowned Nan Zhu. Yet, this first encounter is far from a poetic rendezvous; instead, it unfolds as a perilous game of wits and tension. With every word weaving a trap and murderous intent lurking at every turn, an ultimate fight is about to begin. The Qinghe and Kaifeng regions Qinghe is where every wanderer’s story begins, a peaceful region of open plains, quiet villages, and hidden mysteries. It’s the perfect place to slow down, explore, and soak in the early beauty of Where Winds Meet. But even this tranquil land has its quirks. Rumors swirl about a troublemaker posing as a wanderer, setting wasp nests ablaze, and even stealing horses. Beneath Qinghe’s calm surface lies a network of caves filled with martial secrets and forgotten legends. From the haunted ruins of the Bodhi Sea to the watchful silence atop Halo Peak, there’s always something new waiting to be uncovered. Kaifeng, by contrast, is the beating heart of civilization. It’s a sprawling ancient city alive with light, sound, and story. You can spend your days in the dazzling Revelry Hall, lose yourself in the bustle of the markets, or descend into the shadows of the Ghostly Market to uncover its buried secrets. With more than 10,000 NPCs, each with their own motivations, Kaifeng feels truly alive. You can duel, trade, or befriend them, and your choices shape how they see you. And for those who love history, there are over 1,200 cultural artifacts to collect, turning exploration into a journey through living heritage. An adventure-packed journey The story of Where Winds Meet begins in Qinghe, a peaceful corner of the world where the protagonist is raised by Aunt Han and Uncle Jiang. They represent home, family, and ultimately, the ones who inspired the main character’s dream of becoming a wanderer. On the day of a local celebration, a mysterious figure steals the jade pendant the protagonist has worn since childhood. That theft sets off a chain of events that pulls the young hero into a larger conspiracy, starting with the secrets hidden behind the doors of Evercare Clinic and spiraling into a much greater adventure. As the story expands into the Kaifeng chapter, the stakes rise. Drawn into the Heroic Assembly, the protagonist learns of the “Gold-Making Vessel” a supposed miracle treasure that may, in truth, conceal a darker purpose. What begins as a personal journey quickly becomes a struggle entangled with real historical conflicts and shadowy powers. But is this artifact truly a miraculous treasure, or is it a crucial piece of a far deeper and darker conspiracy? Players can look beyond the myths and uncover the truth hidden within the city’s shadowed corners. Explore the unknown We used an innovative approach that combines overt and hidden storylines. The overt storyline, told through the main chapters, follows the hero’s personal journey, charting the growth of a true hero. The hidden storyline, on the other hand, is told through fragmented narratives, with clues scattered across various details of exploration. All of this combines to form an immersive wuxia experience. Perhaps a roadside beggar or a random book in a room will provide a clue to the hero’s identity or even impact a massive conspiracy involving the imperial court. Launch and seasonal updates All of Where Winds Meet’s playable in-game content is completely free! Every player can enjoy all game modes to their heart’s content without any restrictions. Post-launch, in-game content updates will be released as themed seasons, some of which will advance the core world narrative, while others will focus on introducing new game modes and limited-time events. The first themed season is entitled Blade Out. Where Winds Meet launches globally on November 14. Pre-download will start from November 12 at 2pm PT / 10pm GMT / 11pm CET. Don’t forget to wishlist and pre-order the game on PlayStation Store to get sweet rewards! Launch rewards Players will be greeted with substantial launch rewards, including three exclusive outfits and a variety of other cosmetic items. Additionally, a wealth of progression-based rewards can be claimed as players advance through the game. View the full article

Suri: The Seventh Note is a rhythm-action platformer and our love letter to the games we grew up playing and adore. Set in a magical world, it features music-infused platforming gameplay, unlockable movement abilities, and dramatic escape sequences set and synchronised to an epic soundtrack. You can check it out for yourself in our first-ever official gameplay trailer right here. Use headphones for the best experience. Play Video If you like what you saw (and listened) you can wishlist it right now. Doing so helps us immensely. Why? Adding the game to your wishlist helps bring attention to indie projects like this. If you still need more convincing? We got you covered. So, what is Suri: The Seventh Note all about? Set on the mystical island of Suri, the story follows Ajira, a brave young girl racing against time to save her mother’s life. Her only hope lies in finding a magical fruit that blooms deep within the heart of a land torn apart by a mysterious, corrupting rhythm. A dark force has taken hold, warping its melodies into something sinister. To overcome it, Ajira must learn to master the rhythm, channel its power, and fight back through a world that shifts and reacts to every beat. And there’s more… Welcome to the Rhythm Haptics Engine powered by the DualSense controller We’re building Suri: The Seventh Note to be a multi-sensory rhythm experience with a system we call the Rhythm Haptics Engine. This lets us transform any track into three distinct yet equally important entities: You hear the beat, You see the beat, You feel the beat. Suri and our Rhythm Haptics Engine wouldn’t be possible without the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller haptic feedback. You’ll feel every nuance, from the flow of a soft melody to the impact of a corrupted downbeat. It’s our way of heightening immersion while traipsing through the world of Suri: The Seventh Note. Backed by the PlayStation India Hero Project Suri: The Seventh Note is a part of PlayStation India Hero Project. We grew up playing on PlayStation consoles and they have a special place in our hearts. We’re excited to bring our own game to consoles that were integral to our childhood. Working with PlayStation has been an incredible learning experience. The team helped us with our Rhythm Haptic Engine which allowed us to use DualSense controller haptic feedback in interesting ways. They’re absolute superheroes. With that in mind — and the reason you made it this far… Wishlist now Wishlisting Suri: The Seventh Note on PlayStation Store helps us in more ways than you might imagine. It tells the world there’s a real appetite for fresh gameplay experiences where music and mastery are at the forefront. So if what we’re building intrigues you and if you believe in rhythm as the language of storytelling, and want to experience a game that feels and sounds unlike anything else then please wishlist now on PS Store for PS5. At PlayStation, we’re always working to push the boundaries of how players experience games. Since the PlayStation Portal remote player first launched back in November 2023*, we’ve continued to evolve the device with updates like enhanced public Wi-Fi support and UX improvements. Last year, we also introduced the Cloud Streaming beta, which allowed PlayStation Plus Premium members to access select PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog via Cloud Streaming – without needing to connect to a PS5 console through Remote Play. Today, we’re excited to share that PS Portal is receiving one of its biggest updates yet. Starting on November 5 at 6pm PT / November 6 at 2am GMT, Cloud Streaming for PS5 Games** officially launches on PS Portal for PlayStation Plus Premium members, along with a variety of new features that enhance how you can play. Play Video Cloud streaming for PS5 games in Your Library PlayStation Plus Premium members can now stream select digital PS5 games from their own library***. At launch, thousands of PS5 games support Cloud Streaming, including blockbusters such as Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4. In addition, hundreds of compatible games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog****, including Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, Hogwarts Legacy, Sword of the Sea and The Last of Us Part II Remastered are also streamable directly from the cloud. For a full list of streamable games, visit here. Cloud Streaming unlocks new ways to play: enjoy a game side-by-side with a friend who’s using your PS5 under a separate account, or stream your favorite game while someone else watches a movie on the console. Cloud Streaming also makes it easier to enjoy PS5 games on the go – at a hotel, café, friend’s place, or anywhere else with a high-speed internet Wi-Fi connection – since you can keep playing even when your PS5 console back home is powered off or is in use by another account. View and download image Download the image close Close Download this image Redesigned UI A refreshed home screen***** now features three tabs: Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search. Search screen: Quickly look up any game that supports Cloud Streaming. If you don’t have the entitlement to stream a game, a QR code will be displayed to direct you to the PlayStation App or to a web browser on another device. Hello again PlayStation gamers. We just wrapped the very first Flat2VR Studios event focused on our upcoming PlayStation VR2 games. Over the course of the event we highlighted some of your favorite developers, shared behind-the-scenes stories, and most importantly announced what’s next from our studio. And what’s next is a month that is absolutely packed with content. Two brand new titles were revealed for PlayStation VR2, four are launching throughout November (starting with one you can play today), and one of the most anticipated shooters in VR finally has a launch date. So let’s kick things off with the first big drop. VRacer Hoverbike is out today on PS VR2, giving you the chance to climb onto a futuristic hoverbike and hit the track. VRacer Hoverbike – available today Start your engines PS VR2 gamers, VRacer Hoverbike is here. A native arcade racer built for VR, it captures the pure sensation of speed inside a headset. Every turn is controlled by leaning your body, matching the movement of your bike on screen, so the rush feels intuitive and physical without any motion sickness. With 30 tracks, multiple game modes, and online cross-platform multiplayer, there’s plenty to master. And thanks to PS VR2 features like HDR visuals, adaptive triggers, and headset rumble, every race is sharper, smoother, and more immersive than ever. After years of refinement since its initial debut, VRacer Hoverbike has finally found its perfect track on PlayStation. Audio Trip – coming November 11 Revealed today for the very first time on PS VR2, Audio Trip turns your play space into your own personal dance floor. Every move is handcrafted by a professional choreographer, so when you catch gems, glide along ribbons, or smash drums, it all flows perfectly with the music. Nothing is randomized or auto-generated. It feels like you’re dancing inside the song. With more than 120 levels across 32 tracks, plus playlists, cardio routines, and achievements to chase, there’s always a new way to play. And if that’s not enough, the built-in choreography editor lets the community create and share routines, keeping the library fresh with fan-made content. On PS VR2, the game takes advantage of HDR, headset rumble, and eye-tracked foveated rendering to keep visuals sharp and the beat immersive. Whether you’re here for fitness, flow-state dancing, or just to nail the moves to “Gangnam Style,” Audio Trip delivers rhythm gameplay at its most creative. Roboquest VR – launching November 20 One of the biggest VR shooters of the year is finally locked in. Roboquest VR arrives on PS VR2 this November 20, bringing its fast-paced roguelite action to the headset in full force. Step into the role of a Guardian and tear through swarms of enemy machines in a scorched future world built for chaos and experimentation. With more than 70 weapons to discover, every run is a new chance to unleash something wild. Dual-wield pistols for slick takedowns, charge up rocket blasts, or jump fists-first into melee with high-speed strikes. Levels shift each time you play, keeping the challenge fresh and the action relentless. Roboquest has been fully rebuilt for VR, featuring manual reloading, interactive weapon handling, and future co-op support. On PS VR2, you’ll feel every shot and impact through adaptive triggers, refined controller haptics, headset rumble, HDR visuals, and eye-tracked foveated rendering. This is the Roboquest experience players have been waiting for, and it is almost here. Shadowgate VR: The Mines of Mythrok Shadowgate has a long history on PlayStation, appearing across generations as one of gaming’s most iconic first-person adventures. Now the series steps into a new era with its debut on PS VR2. Shadowgate VR: The Mines of Mythrok takes players deep into a lost dwarven kingdom, armed with a wand and shield to master elemental magic, solve ancient puzzles, and face towering guardians. Guided by Odin, your sharp-tongued raven companion, you’ll ride breakneck minecarts, outwit deadly traps, and uncover secrets hidden far beneath the stone. On PS VR2, the adventure gains a new level of immersion with eye-tracked spellcasting, adaptive triggers, Sense controller haptics, headset rumble, and 120Hz performance with no reprojection. It’s the classic dungeon crawl reimagined for virtual reality, and it arrives November 25. Rager Today’s show also brought a brand-new reveal for PS VR2: Rager. This is a far cry from your typical rhythm game. Instead of chasing notes, you’ll clash with robotic foes in short, high-intensity duels, face cinematic boss encounters, and fight your way up the online leaderboards. Every battle is designed to be replayed, fast and furious. The game features twelve handcrafted stages and three massive bosses, all powered by a pounding original soundtrack that mixes darksynth, metalstep, war drums, drum and bass, and more. On PS VR2, the action will hit even harder with headset rumble and haptic feedback that sells every strike. Rager is built to get your blood pumping, and it’s coming to PlayStation next year. For the gamers That’s a wrap! We created this event to celebrate PlayStation VR players. Your passion and support continue to inspire us, and we’re excited to keep bringing new experiences to PS VR2. Last month, we sought revenge, conquered the shadows, and stormed the battlefield. Some big new releases included Ghost of Yōtei, Battlefield 6, Ninja Gaiden 4, Ball x Pit, and Digimon Story: Time Stranger. How does it work? At the end of every month, PlayStation Blog will open a poll where you can vote for the best new game released that month. After the polls close we will tally your votes, and announce the winner on our social channels and PlayStation.Blog. What is the voting criteria? That’s up to you! If you were only able to recommend one new release to a friend that month, which would it be? Note: re-released games don’t qualify, but remakes do. We define remakes as ambitious, larger-scale rebuilds such as Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Final Fantasy VII Remake. How are nominees decided? The PlayStation Blog editorial team will gather a list of that month’s most noteworthy releases and use it to seed the poll. View Poll View the full article
