o-BacklasH-o Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I love the way the Rockies have come on in September. I think even though they are going up against arguably the Cy Young in Jake Peavy, their offense is too good to be shut down. Their offense will bail out Josh Fogg who will be less than special tonight and I see the Rockies winning the one game playoff and moving on to face the Phillies in the NLDS. Quote
boody Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 it should be a good game. I think Peavy will be himself and pick up the win. Quote
Chili327 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I voted for who i want to win.. ;D Quote

o-BacklasH-o Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 What a game man. Simply the best possible way to kick off the post season with a dramatic tiebreaker game for the Wild Card. Rockies vs Phillies should be a very interesting series. Quote

Directors V1P3R_1 Posted October 2, 2007 Directors Report Directors Posted October 2, 2007 smokeosama ]What a game man. Simply the best possible way to kick off the post season with a dramatic tiebreaker game for the Wild Card. Rockies vs Phillies should be a very interesting series. I honestly thought the Pads would squash Colorado on adrenaline alone after the last week of the season. But, I agree....one of the best MLB games I've seen in a while. As for whether Holliday got the dish....I think he did, but just a fraction of it. Great effort by Barrett to block, but I think he got it. See ya' Wednesday smoke! Go Cubs. Quote
Xx-CHURCHY-xX Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I don't think he got the plate. The ump waited for Hollidays reaction along with the catcher's possession of the ball to make the call. If Holliday would've stumbled back to home plate, he would've been called out. The ump had no view of the plate and I think he made the wrong call. He was influenced by the players reactions. Despite that, one HELL of a game. Well played by both sides. One of those times where it's a shame that one gets eliminated. Definitely worth watching the entire game. Playoffs baby! GO YANKS! Quote
Guest umerfonz Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 This game didn't really matter anyways, neither one of these teams can beat the phillies Quote
Xx-CHURCHY-xX Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 umerfonz ]This game didn't really matter anyways, neither one of these teams can beat the phillies Not necessarily. Rockies are riding on a shitload of adrenaline and from the past, it's obvious that teams with the most adrenaline usually do the best. They won 14 of their last 15 and made the wild card. Never know what can happen. Quote
Guest umerfonz Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 -ChurcH- ]Rockies are riding on a shitload of adrenaline So are the Phillies... Just so you know, I'm not a Phillies fan. D'backs will win it all this year, I hope, lol ^My team Quote

And by the way, RIGHT as I type this, the Phillies just lost game 1. Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 Rockies bats are going to be working overtime in Citizen's Bank Ballpark and Coors Field. I don't give the Phillies a chance after losing the one game I thought they'd win with Hamels on the bump. Also the Phillies didn't limp to the playoffs by any means, they finished 11-4 down the stretch, tops in baseball next to the Rockies 14-1. Quote
