This is a link to one of the slideshows from last years event. The goal is to shoot a 7-8 lb Gorde, not actually Pumkins, as far as possible. Current record is 4434 feet.

i watch it on the discovery channel every year it is funny as hell.....they have big ass company's building big ass launchers and shit pretty funny .............

lol they even grow special pumpkins just for shooting, they are more dense so they can handle more presure during launch and impact.

 

Its pretty cool to watch people spend 100's of thousands of dollars just to shoot a pumpkin lol.

Ya if you look in the site there, you'll see some videos from years past, also as Sweeper mentioned, there is a special on Discovery about it, and will probably run again soon with the events approach eminent.
