Harold Howard

This is for all you UFC fans. I'm sure some of you remember Harold Howard from UFC 3 where he attempted to scissor-flip kick Jyushin Lyger during their match but failed to pull it off. Howard in that UFC defeated Royce Gracie but only because Gracie's corner threw in the towel because he was exhausted from his previous fights. Howard has been a local celebrity in the Niagara Falls area since then, though he's widely been viewed as somewhat deranged. He's hit the spotlight again with his latest show of insanity.

He's currently housed at the prison I work at (again) and apparently he assaulted two people with a hammer before his suicidal drive through the front of the Casino. I'm amazed no one was killed as this Casino is always packed.

 

Sunday I was working and Howard who's housed in Segregation for obvious reasons, was being escorted back from visits while I was escorting another inmate. I ordered my inmate to stand aside... he did but said "is that Harold Howard? I said yes, he respond's, "Well, you can be damn sure I'm not going to pick a fight with that crazy bastard"! The inmate I was escorting is well known for starting fights just for the fun of it. Harold Howard overheard what my inmate had said and responded "If your coming on... Come on"! You'll understand once you view the clip!

 

 

I'd love to put Howard into one of our "toughest" ranges and let him clean house... it would probably take a tactical team or two to pull him out of there!

 

I'm not a fan of Howards, but I gotta say, my job gets more interesting now that he's one of our "clients"! I can also verify that Harold Howard's mullet was not harmed in the incident.

I'm at work now, took this guy out for fresh air... I'm convinced he's losing it. Out of the blue He told my partner and I that you can tell if someone's going to be aggressive or not with you if they are looking you in your left eye. He said "They ain't comin on if they're looking in your right eye." He then proceeded to tell us that he'd give us Karate lessons and he wouldn't charge the Officers anything for it. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he's a raving lunatic. Plus I'll take our Aikido/Jiu-Jitsu training over his diluted Karate any day. Quite the character though, gotta admit.

I had no idea Howard was a lunatic lol, but I do remember him fighting.

 

I was a huge fan of UFC when it first came out. I loved the fact that there were almost no rules and no weight classes. It was awesome to see 150 pound guys fight against 300 pound guys and it was fun watching them fight 2-3 times in the same event. I still remember a lot of the fights from Royce Gracie, Kimo, Ken Shamrock and one of my favorites, Tank Abbott. Too bad Tank and Kimbo Slice didn't fight 10 earlier... Tank would have destroyed him. Tank would have exposed Kimbo for the bum that he is ;D

 

I'm still a fan of UFC, and I know the sport had to mature and adopt safety rules to survive, but those first UFCs were just unbelievable.
