PSN Update 3.30 notes

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, in our continued effort to provide the best, most comprehensive entertainment experience possible, we’ll be adding a few new features to PlayStation 3 (PS3) via the latest system software update, which is a mandatory update and will be available shortly. Most notably, you’ll see some new sorting options within Trophies that make it easier to claim bragging rights among your friends on PlayStation Network.

Trophy enhancements –- Now you can more easily sort trophies in the [Trophy Collection] and [Comparing Trophy] sections. Sorting can be done with [Trophy Collection] in the [Game Category] and also when comparing trophies with your friends in the [Friend Category]

Trophy Folder (Title List) can be sorted by game name/ by title according to the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)

Add-on list (Group list) can be sorted by original/the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)

Trophy list can be sorted by original/trophy name/grade/date of obtaining the trophy (ascending/descending)

In addition, this update preps the PS3 system for some upcoming new features, including 3D stereoscopic gaming, which is coming soon to PS3, in time for the launch of Sony’s 3D BRAVIA TVs.

Let us know your thoughts and as always, we look forward to your feedback.

So basically another update that I really don't care about...

Honestly, who gives a **** about trophies! And I don't own a stereoscopic TV... so... MEH!

I did hear that when the map pack is released for PS3 that it will come with an update to fix/modify join session/kick to make it work properly.

Exactly.

Well 3D glasses aren't what they were when we were kids bro.

Nowadays, they look like a pair of eyejackets instead of the paper red and blue glasses we had to watch Gremlins.

Not for 3D tv. They have a "shutter" built into the glasses that makes the 3D work. No way I'm paying for that crap. Scroll down to the bottom to see video of it.

Actually Most Newer HD TV's are more than capable of handling 3d without Sony's special TV it only takes 60 frames/second to do it and the newer sets can handle up to 120/second So Sony is really just trying to rip people off. Go figure

Actualy 120 has already become slow, the new LCD's and LED/LCD's all have 240 now and the new 55" Vizio already has firmware built in for 3D compatablity.....

What sucks about all this 3D garbage is that eventualy all of us are going to have to have it because all the TV/Movie networks and game companies are going to start switching to 3D tech just so they can take a $60 game and sell it for $80 and take a $30 a month subscription and up it to $50......HBO is already in the process of using the 3D projectors for their 2011 HBO Shows
