Ya boys and girls some of you well most of you know who iMr is from socom 3/ca and we have been hearing that uf will have a cod4 tourney and since thats what we do now i think our leader will be signing us up because where getting a little antsy. i've been told that during socom clans hated that we could quick snipe and where one of the best clans to do so and so clans started to put iMr on "black lists" so every clan that put iMr on there "black list" was put on our "hit list" as both a joke to the other clans and a place where we could see, ok so and so doesn't want to war us. I mean with a record off 200wins and 8loses on s3 and coming in second place to TNU in there ct tournament we where one of the best socom clans every but now where trying to repeat the former glory we once had on socom with cod4

To inform you, boasting about how your clan was "the best to quicksnipe" in Socom will get you no love here or on any other gaming forum except maybe GB. Quicksniping was a glitch, cheat, exploit, find the name that makes it sound the best...oh wait none do, because it is a pathetic display of blatant cheating. I am not sure if you were with iMr or ever played Socom, but the reason clans didn't want to war you is because of quicksniping. It has been banned from Socom by their developers in the latest patch.

they clearly said that they wanted to renew theyre glory on COD4 (where there is no quicksniping), so theres no point in putting them down for it cuz you wont have to deal with it or is UF Crucible a socom tournament? hmmm

Damn this is one of the "Best" Welcomes, I have seen here in a long time LoL! Can You feel the "LOVE" xLASTx can you feel it, but yeah this is NOT the place you want to brag about QS that don't mean shit good around these parks!!

Well I think it’s commendable if the purpose of the list was meant as a way to know which clans did not approve of a method such as quick sniping. Also if you were saying you won over other clans that also used the method than that’s cool as long as everyone agreed to use it than at least it’s an even use of an exploit.

 

Here however, and we realize it’s just a game, but the general consensus is that if it’s highly impossible to achieve in a real life scenario than it’s acceptance is disapproved.

 

For example, with quick sniping,, First Jump quick sniping.. ok it’s plain idiotic .. since it’s sort of a joke that anyone could manage to pull it off with a real rifle. As for as quick sniping itself, although not entirely impossible, it’s just not how things are done. Ask a real US army or Marine sniper and they would laugh at you… sniping is anything BUT quick. Even after the time it takes to position yourself, wait for the target, calibrate the factors such as wind and range and get a clear shot.. before you pull the trigger.. hold on! Call it in!! and wait for the confirmation.. Not exactly anything quick about it.

 

I’m not saying Socom should be held to real life scenarios but it was clear that by fast scoping with a quick shot the game was glitched to award hits that were not always on target. Therefore it’s use was banned.

 

But aside from all that, I will give you a welcome here. With just one word of advice, COD4 is new and although game glitches have yet to be identified it is highly unlikely that none will surface. When they do, if your intent is to play as a member of UF’s community then we will expect your clan to adhere to any rule that prohibits the use of a proven glitch to a game we are conducting a tournament in.

 

Otherwise I see no reason why you shouldn’t be given the opportunity to prove your honor.

i did not come to boast the fact that we where the best quick sniping clan i was just pointing out that was what we where known for. But it was alright by us if the other clan we where warring against did not want us to quick/jump snipe we where more then happy to play by there rules. I mean your right it might have seem like i was boasting about our quick snipping and for that i'm sorry but just to wright us off as not a good or even great clan because of it is wrong. But as goat said theres no ingame glich like quick snipping or anything so where here now only to play with the best and hopfully beat them and be the best.

 

p.s. i did play socom since s2 and can't wait for the next one

The best thing to do to get your foot in the door is get a few more of your guys in these forums to introduce them selves. From there do what you are attempting to do- Try and play it up with some of UF's frequent clans. Keep in mind performance is not as immediately measured here as attitude, respect and honor.

There may be things this community does not approve of such as QS in socom- Where it would not be a good fit for your team.

Your crews character is evaluated in these forums, the community and in game play.
