[-VR-] Tool_Minion Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I might be behind the times here, but I just found Kindle for Android in the market and I'm jazzed. I use the Alkido reader on my cell, and while it's fine, I've been limited severely in the books I could read. I did however catch up on all the classics....LOL. If you like to read, this app is awesome. You have full access to Amazon's bookstore, right from your cell. Quote

[-VR-] Tool_Minion Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 I hate both of you. Yes, I was waiting for a good google e-reader to come out. Sony had the best, mainly because it let you dl multi-platform capable books....but in the meantime I had e-books on my cell. I just went up and got my EVO, and this screen is PERFECT for reading on! Playerdown Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I call bullshit! Nobody from Misery can read. Between scarfing down bacon cheeseburgers, drinking your liver into a classroom lab specimen, stalking every known clan website known to man and playing video games. When the hell do you have time to read? Quote

Between scarfing down bacon cheeseburgers, drinking your liver into a classroom lab specimen, stalking every known clan website known to man and playing video games. When the hell do you have time to read? I am constantly reading...LOL. I have a unique job....so I have alot of what I like to call 'downtime'. For instance, I've been on a huge Alexandre Dumas kick here recently (mainly cause his books are all from the early 1800's, thus FREE) and have read: The Count of Monte Cristo The Three Musketeers 20 years later 10 years later (prequel, but the actual name is all french and I don't remember it) and currently finishing up 10 years later (sequel). I also read (all from my phone) all the H.P. Lovecraft books, Alice in Wonderland, The Art of War, etc. I've read every Stephen King, Ann Rice (before she came to jesus), and Dean Koontz books in print. It's how I roll ho! Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I was shocked to find out he reads also. But I also know that his job entails things that a trained chimpanzee can do with ease, so yes he has a lot of free time. LOL. I just downloaded it, though I don't read all that much. I'm a big Stepen King reader. Tool do you know if I could get my college books on there? Now I'll have an excuse to text and sit on the forums all class haha. Quote

I know S.K. has a new book on there called UR and it's based around the kindle and online readers....LOL. Its only like 3 bucks, I think I will get it. Quote

He thinks it will make him more appealing to the ladies. In other matters Tool if you are looking for books to read you should check out Robert Ludlum. He is my second favorite author behind Stephen King. Quote

Prane Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 I'm not familiar with the Necroscope series. I own most of his books. My favorite thing about Ludlum books is that while the main theme is similar in the fact that they center around espionage and world takeovers, the hero doesn't always come out on top. Tool another of my favorite authors is John Grisham. He has some really good stuff too. Quote
[-VR-] Tool_Minion Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 Ahh Im thinking of Brian Lumley. Quote
