So I logged into EyePet today with my daughter. When the game started up, it went right to as if I never have played the game. It didn't automatically load my previous data.

So I tried it again, and still it went right to the beginning of the game. So I checked, the data section under the games icon and the EyePet data was there. But it still wouldn't load.

Anyone ever experience this or have a solution?

Sounds like you could have a hard drive failure or at least partial failure does it behave similarly with other games or just this one. It could also just be a bug with the game lord knows there are plenty of those these days.

This issue appears to be only with EyePet. RDR loaded fine from my last save points. So this has something to do with EyePet? Because the data still shows that it's there. Is there anyway to force it to load?

Also, SOCOM wiped my load-outs again, but I thought that was a SOCOM issue. Is it possible this also is a HD failure?

So I asked about this issue on the PS forums and someone recommended doing this step from the safe mode menu:

perform option 3-> Restore File System - Attempts to repair all areas on the hard disk drive where files can be saved. Corrupted data may be erased if it cannot be recovered.

Has anyone here completed this step? Because I gotta be honest, this makes me nervous doing actions like this on my PS.

Also, I posed this question on the PS forums:

Like I said, my daughter is four, but she is pretty proficient navigating the system. In other words, she knows how to quit a game and then start a different game.

And I know it's not recommended to quit a game or power off while the HDD saving icon is present. So with that being said, could she have corrupted the EyePet saved data by quitting or shutting off the system before it was done saving?
