Recruiting section

It's been a while since i've posted on UF and i don't remember this off hand but is there a recruiting section?

i think a clan can post its looking but a individual cannot

Yes those are the rules. Several recruiting threads can be found in the ps3 and xbox sections.

Thank you for the replies. I'll run a search. For some reason i thought there was a section dedicated to recruiting.

why is that? why can a clan say "hey join us" but a guy can't say "hi, i'm looking to join a clan"? just curious

That rule goes way back before my time. My theory is it has something to do with saving the forum clutter and limiting recruiting threads to the clans who have earned a place here. I could be way off base though.

that could make sense. usually forums have 2 sections, one for clans to recruit, and one for people to post. I honestly do agree with not having the people post...to me that is just lazy. If there is a dedicated recruiting section, then a free agent should peruse THOSE posts and make his intentions known

If a user is looking for a clan, they should go and look for a clan, Urgent Fury is not the home of lazy gunners that want to post up so clans have to come to them, a Gunner should be researching the clans and find the one they like and contact them.

 

How is that for an explanation...

As we are looking to improve our forum structure, this has already been put into consideration.

 

And just because things have always been done a certain way, may not fit as we continue down the road.

 

But in the end, Urgent Fury's main "purpose" for being is always considered for any growth or change decisions.

 

This is also a great example of something that could be put into the Suggestion Box.
