i saw this last night on future weapons, and anybody interested in weaponry, especially sniper rifles, should really take a look. it is a .408 caliber shell, with a gun built to shoot it. it was built to fill the void between the .338 and the .50.

on the show, they put 2 shots 1/2" apart, THROUGH 1/2" steel, at 600 yds., in the middle of the night

it is capable of shooting 3" groups into a 24" round plate - at 1.5 miles!!! that is 2640 yards!!! the gun is designed to be accurate, and powerful, up to 2750 yards. simply a masterpiece 8)

I have some .50 cal live rounds. They mysteriously appeared in my bag the day I left the Marine Corps. I'll never know how they got there, along with a camel pack, a defused grenade, and a box of M-16 A-2 rounds.  ::)  ;D ;D  shhhhhh.......
