Sony Exec to Address PlayStation Network Outage 10PM PST 4/30

Sony announced today that the head of its gaming division will make a statement Sunday afternoon Tokyo Time to address the PlayStation Network outage.

 

Kazuo HiraiKazuo Hirai, executive deputy president, will brief the media on Sony's investigation into the security breach, PSN security measures, and service restoration plans at a news conference scheduled for 2 p.m. Tokyo Time (10 p.m. tonight Pacific Time).

 

The conference will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention despite its hour, especially after numerous agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Congress and officials at Taiwan's capital, Taipei have expressed concern about the security issues involved in the downing of the PlayStation Network and Qriocity online services.

So another thing I got from this, is everyone will have to reset there passwords, but can only do it from the PS3 they registered there name on? So what about the users who don't have the same PS3 anymore?

They also stated by email. I would imagine it has to be via the registered account email.

Ya but it will be interesting to see how they handle all those verification e-mails. I would hope you would not have to wait days for the verification especially since there will be so many of them!!!
