o-BacklasH-o Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 This trade has been rumored to be complete for the last 24 hours with no solid confirmaton. [APC] Czambrano said there was an article on Digg about it, but it seems none of the major sports networks have details. According to a buddy of mine in Baltimore they are reporting out there that the trade was the following Baltimore gives up Brian Roberts Chicago gives up Ronny Cedeno, Sean Marshall, and Sean Gallagher. I think we gave up 3 young players who aren't going to amount to much in the bigs for a proven all-star. I'll tell you this, the Cubbies lineup is looking VERY potent! Quote
Guest Skipper Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Not so fast.... Here's where the story originated: http://www.orioleshangout.com/article.asp?ID=1297 As an advisory member of this board I can tell you that this trade is close but it's not for those players. We were contacted by a member of the O's PR staff and he ended the conversation saying that "we're not that desperate" Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 Interesting. Hopefully this deal gets finalized in the next 24 hours. Quote
Guest Skipper Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 I still think it will. I think the players will be different, that's all. Brian Roberts is a great all around guy, I would love to see him go to a contender. Quote

I'm sure Marshall will be included in that deal as Baltimore has expressed interest in him and the Cubs have 6 starting pitchers. Quote
