anyone ever use this site???? I just recently heard of it and I picked out a bare bones tower and built a PC with a 500g harddrive and 8g of ram for around $400 That's just wonderful to me.

I've always been the dummy that thought the best way to get a computer was to order it through name brand but one of my clan mates and I were talking the other night about building a computer he told me about newegg and http://www.pricewatch.com so now I'm going to build my next computer for a much cheaper price. The only thing I want that I could not figure out because I'm very much a noob at this stuff is TV in jacks on the computer/monitor. I want to be able to hook my PS3 up to my computer and play it that way instead of using my TV so my dear sweet and loving other half wont yell at me when I play COD all night and she cant watch TV. I know there are monitors that have the jacks on the back but to get a good LCD or HD screen with those jacks is a little more than thought it would be.

I also dont know if I want to go with VISTA or XP and if I want 32 bit or 64 bit. I have VISTA on my son's laptop but I dont really care for it to much but I also know that the new programs will only run on VISTA i hate coputers

i love and hate vista. love: tons of cool, useful shit. hate: everything else. i.e. randomly shutting down/restarting.

Stick with XP until the next version of Vista comes out. You will have to find it first though as they have stopped producing XP.

 

And you can get a nice LCD and most will have a VGA jack on it that will allow you to use it as a Computer monitor. If you have an HDMI output on your comp you could use that as well but I use my VGA Just fine. I have my laptop on a shell under my TV and use my wireless mouse and keyboard with the TV as a monitor.

yeah XP is rare, try http://www.download.com you might have to pay for it, but if u dont like vista than it's worth it. and shadow, that's a great idea
