A Clans guide to BF3, By Chiamira

Recommended Posts

Yes, we (TNU) use outside communication while we play BF3 and to be honest it will make us all the better when it comes to tournament time even if we arent allowed to use OC. I say this because our current communication is allowing us to know what our goals are, set squad responsibilities, and make sure everyone know what there role will be when it comes time to compete. We will not need the OC at that point because we won't need to instruct our players on what to do, they will know already.

Clans can point the accusing finger all they want when the time comes but we know what the situation is and have played in tourneys where it is allowed and obviously tourneys where it is not. We have always and will continue to follow tournament rules. If a clan wants to say we "Must be using OC" because there is no way we could know something without it then we will take it as a compliment and deal with it at the time. But it will show us that we are working well together and it will be a result of all the massive communication that we've had in preparation.

The point of this post was to help other clans out because we know that clans are having issues playing with there teammates. Nobody is being forced to use it (Although I think a lot will take advantage). And nobody is saying it will be used during tournament play (Although it will be if the rules allow it). We are simply trying to allow other clans to enjoy the game as we do by providing work-arounds to the flaws currently in the game.

I completely understand Shadow..I too feel communication is paramount in tournaments. If your clan isn't communicating your chances of being successful are not too high! I would not be opposed to some approved form of outside communications for any tournament, because lets face it....I (and I'm sure many others) have yet to play any game that the comm works good...not a single one. Even MW3, the comms suck...it seems you can clearly hear those that are talking shit...but your team mates you can never hear right....it is very garbled at times. I played BF3 for a while when it first came out and that too had lousy comms, as all BF's have...you would think that by now they would be able to get it figured out!! My only issue with OC is what was mentioned in another post....dead people should not be able to communicate...that is going to be hard to regulate!!!

"To be honest TNU doesn't use playstation Chat system at all anymore". This implies that you use your outside comms in all games in all situations. That and the requirements you mention really make it seem the scope of this isn't just a BF3 thing.

Maybe what was said wasn't what was meant, etc etc. I don't want to troll or even keep this thread going further, but what was innocently put out in that first post represented or misrepresented things.

You Can think all you want that's your "opinion" & i'm not going to sit here & argue with a child... In my "opinion" the only time it's cheating is when it's used while a person is dead (Dead Lobby or Dead Pool) other than that it's a working equivalent of Open Mic's No matter what service or system we use. UF changed there rules to accompany Dead lobby's in Confrontation, Now that that is gone i'm sure there is a good chance they will remove this rule with the exception of Dead Lobby's in COD (if they do a tournament that has to use this specification) Then you can eat your own words, I honestly really don't care if you don't like it, I don't see it as cheating at all...

p.s. I removed the original post because certain community members obviously Can't handle it... :mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

Why is there something wrong with that?

I just said "That's what probably what triggered the reply". It just goes back to the past when Skype, Aim, cellphones or whatever were used as an advantage.

Never accused anyone of cheating or even that it's wrong. I think with the chat system and everything else it's a moot point in games anymore.

And Joe? WTF? That's like hearing my grandma drop an F bomb! lol

And I love me some BF3!

Really Joe, It's a little humorous that you (The all respectful one) would be the first one to name drop and then say there is something wrong with us. Yes TNU only plays BF3 now with the exception of a few members who play League of Legends and yes we us outside comms to play BF3. We openly came out and said it in order to give other clans the opportunity of trying it for themselves. If we felt it broke rules in any form do you honestly think we just be like "Hey guys, just so you know we are using OC"? No, we don't cheat, yes we use OC in public rooms on BF3, yes I am proud that our level of communication is MUCH better than most because of that fact and YES we will continue to use it unless we are participating in an event that does not allow it.

Sarcasm, I can see where it could be taken out of context BUT it was clarified and BF3 is the only game we are playing right now. We never tried to hide anything and anyone who knows us can tell you that we have always tried to help out other clans in the past and will be the first ones to admit when/if we do something wrong.

I'm sorry that certain community members here can't simply read a post that was created to help out other clans and simply want to focus on the fact that we are encouraging other clans to use OC on a game that this site has no tournaments for, therefore has no rules against it, and are saying its cheating because the rules for a tournament taking place on a completely different game that we are not participating in because as stated in our declining statement "TNU no longer plays socom 4". We also encourage other clans to use XMB to switch sides rather than the in-game method but nobody has an issue with that. The point is that people need to stop jumping the gun and making accusations with no merit. If you don't like us then that is completely fine, we wont hold it against anyone, we will still say good game and compete in a fair manner, we will still admit our losses and admit when one of our players screws up as we always have. But we will also stand up for ourselves and tell people what we think (In a respectful manner) if we feel they are wrong until we are proven otherwise. I understand we don't have a large fan base and that is due to multiple reasons, Our past here being one of them but also I feel the fact that we are very outspoken and that we are very successful as a clan has something to do with it as well. Like I stated before, this post was made to HELP others. We could have kept it to ourselves and tried to be sneaky but we didnt. Chiamira knows that there a lot of good people and clans in this community and wanted to share our knowledge in order to improve your gaming experience on Battlefield 3.

If you feel we are wrong then that's your opinion, but nothing was hidden, nothing broke any rules, and we will be the first ones to stand our ground. We just hope that their are clans who read this in a positive light, the way it was meant to be interpreted and can capitalize on it.

And just out of curiosity, would this be the same argument if we said we use the Voice Party Chat provided by BF3 on battelog?

No of course you're not going to admit it. LOL

We must of stomped him one too many times and now he is looking for excuses to feel better about it... and next time and the next tournament we win. It will always be the same ... lmao
