Hey Shane, have you posted anything on Kickstarter.com or any upstart sites akin to that? Might be a good route to get your new project going.

We tried on Kickstarter, they changed their policies and then informed us our project did not meet their guidelines. We clearly are not going to make our goals, so we will just continue on our current path.

 

This is the first time we have ever asked the community to support something and we got 0 support within the community. All of the contributors are from outside the community.

I think it depends on what you are asking members to donate money to. Besides The community you are referring to doesn't seem to exist here like it once did.
