Are you wanting a publisher to publish it or are your wanting to self-publish your book? Here is a site with GREAT info. on what steps to take to get your book to a publisher.

If you decide to self-publish your book then that's a whole other ball game. You'll need some kind of software like Adobe PageMaker or Adobe InDesign and some knowledge about formatting a book, which can be found online or you can find someone to help you who has experience in this area.

 

(I do Desktop Publishing for a non-profit. More specifically, I format books that have been translated into the six different Indian languages that we publish in. So, I have some experience and knowledge with actually creating a book. We also are partnered with a publishing company, but they publish only Christian material and are VERY specific about who they accept manuscripts from.)
