So how is everyone liking Medal of Honor Warfighter so far?

Recommended Posts

Campaign was way too easy, even on Hard difficulty. I got bored with the mechanics and went pistol only + headshots for the last 3/4 of the game.

The missions are much more believable than say COD SP, but they were put together in a manner that most do not approve of. They also tried to bring the softer side of the soldiers into the game, which, does help but came off as cheese.

Besides the mechanics and infinite pistol ammo, even on Tier 1 and Hardcore, the pre-rendered cut scenes frankly were sad. Developing for 3 platforms is difficult, and I played this on PC and it was cheese. Can not imagine what it looks like on consoles.

I really enjoyed the MP. Good mechanics and much more polished when compared to MOH 2010. Home Run is cool as is Hot Zone or whatever it is called with the random bomb locations. Weapon progression is quite deep and I really enjoy all the camos.

Unfortunately, this game will suffer the same fate as MOH 2010, once the other titles this season release in a few weeks.

Why isn't everyone all over the Homerun mode? This game makes more sense the BF3 does between the 2 for competitive play. Homerun mode is no respawn.

We would be all over this if you could use it for tournaments, but they were very upfront that only PC will be able to set up custom matches But you are right several of the modes are pretty awesome.

I've never played BF3 or most of the other games single player modes.

You are not missing much :/

I think DICE/EA realizes what this game is going up against and can't justify spending the money to develop custom rooms for the game, although I'm not quite sure why especially when other titles thrive on this model...

I just received confirmation from MOHW that Server rentals for custom matches will be available in the coming weeks for consoles.

The prices should be less than the BF3 servers due to smaller player counts per server. So if this comes to pass and they get the mic issue patched, this would be an excellent title for us to roll out.

I know these games nowadays are all about the multiplayer aspect, but good god I cannot stand these linear style campaigns. I realize each mission needs a beginning and end, but it's how you get to the end that makes or breaks a campaign. Does anyone remember the old SOCOM single players? Those were great. You get to choose your guns based on how you want to play the mission (sniper, assault, heavy machine gun, etc.), then they insert you into the AO, then they basically let you accomplish the mission however you want with a little direction just so you don't get lost. Finally you make it to an extraction point where a truck/helicopter/boat picks you up. Rinse and repeat. Sometimes you even needed to escort hostages or VIPs to the extraction point. :o

No unrealistic car chase scenes or snowmobile scenes. No raping everyone in sight with a helicopter or gunship. Just a humvee every once and a while and the good 'ole 50. cal turret.

Maybe Im just expecting too much from SP in games that are clearly only created to play MP.

Thats probably why Ill buy ACIII instead of MoH or CoD.

Sorry just needed to vent my frustrations

Blood,

There are some really great open world games on pc these days. You would have to expand beyond just shooters though. Civilization, silent hunter, dayz, company of heroes etc

They are different types of games but all let you choose how you want to play them. Consoles have become more and more driven by kids over the years.

Is it always infinite ammo for pistols? That's weird.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. At first I thought it was because it was not the hardest difficulty (Tier 1 and Hardcore are unlocked after Hard). After I finished the SP I started a Hardcore SP and it was the same. I was disappointed; like I said too easy. Is that what it is for console as well?
