TOTAL LUNAR ECLPISE ON WEDNESDAY!!!

On the night February 20th, 2008 (or the early, early morning of February 21st), there will be a total lunar eclipse visible from North America (and some other parts of the world). According to the NASA website, this is a rough schedule of what to expect (in Central Standard Time):

 

7:43 PM - Partial Eclipse Begins

9:01 PM - Total Eclipse Begins

9:26 PM - Mid-Eclipse

9:51 PM - Total Eclipse Ends

11:09 PM - Partial Eclipse Ends

Thanks man why don't they tell us this stuff on the news? Crazy story, I fell asleep the night of the last eclipise not knowing about it and then woke up just as it happened and tripped out. What are the chances I wake up just to see it happen, like I was awakened by the eclipise?

I know a SOLAR eclipse is very visible during the day.....but what do you see (or DON'T see) during a LUNAR eclipse at night?

The moon will turn red! The moon is passing directly in the shadow of the Earth and the sun's light is reflecting off the atmosphere onto the moon, causing it to change colors. It's pretty badass.

yeah it's worth taking pictures of, like Church said it turns orange, blood red, and even an eerie Greyish-blue color. Just follow the link and read up on it. It's worth pulling the old Nikon Camera out of hiding for.

Normally you would be correct..... but Havok's ass tends to block out everything so it's all the same.
