Shane takes on the Community Manager position at SOF Studios

A couple of years ago we were contacted by a few friends, Justin a long time Gamer and Tom a Special Forces Veteran, with a vision to bring a game that gave us back what we have been searching for since the release of PS3. These friends created SOF Studios with that goal in mind. We committed to them that Urgent Fury would support the development of such a game. We have known time and time again that is what our community is looking for and many clans have been wandering the gaming space aimlessly in hopes of finding it.

 

Fast forward to now, H-Hour: World's Elite KickStarter Campaign is in its final stretch, David Sears has returned to pick up where he left off with Socom 1 and 2 now powered by technology and tools not available back in the PS2 days.

 

Urgent Fury is fully committed to support H-Hour Start to finish and that leads me to a very humbling announcement.

 

As of last week, I have taken a position at SOF Studios as Community Manager. I have been searching for that next career that captured my passion with Gaming and working with Communities. As you can imagine I am beyond excited.

 

What this means for Urgent Fury. Well since my primary day job will be SOF Studios, I will have to dedicate more of my time at SOF Studios. John will be stepping up to handle more of the work I do on a daily basis at UF. We will also look to fill a Community Management Position at Urgent Fury with a current Staff member or move someone into it. This is going to be a process as I transition into less of an active roll.

 

Everything that we are doing tournament wise, be it live or online will continue to build relentlessly. John will begin to handle more of the relationships with partners and sponsors as well, but I will still be at the live events as well as represent Urgent Fury as an owner.
