Paypal Scam & Reverse Email

Recommended Posts

I get these ever so often. An email from Paypal (It appears it's from them but it's not) where they try and say somethings wrong with my account and I need to fix it. Like today it said that they deleted my credit card on file and I needed to provide a New one. It's BS I know. I never go through an email to any of my accounts.

Does anyone know how to find out who sent this? This latest one came in like a second after I got an email from one of my eBay customers. I am wondering if it was a host on her email some way.

The best you can do is go to your email options and choose "Show Full Header." That should show you the name server where the email was sent from. Then the smartest thing to do is copy that email with headers showing to [email protected] They tend to bust people pretty fast when they have the headers.
