jannick Posted April 20, 2022 Report Posted April 20, 2022 The latest addition to the Korean version of Lost Ark, the Warlock has been included in Smilegate's western free-to-play MMORPG for players at launch. As such, it's a welcome option for new players looking for a spell-based introduction to the world of Arkesia. She's a tough DPS that fulfills the fantasy of glass cannons, a profession that lacks defense but packs a huge hit. There are two main ways to build Warlocks for PVE, each defined by two class-specific sculpts for that class. One focuses on dealing really big damage in a very specific burst window (and thus requires more precise timing and coordination), while the other comes at the cost of forgoing the Warlock's key ability, Arcane Rift Dealing more consistent, consistent damage. Figuring out which build to aim for can be a challenge. This guide explains what each class sculpt can do, what skills they complement, and how to play each build effectively. If you want to deal as much damage as possible in a short amount of time, then this is the Sorceress for you: This build is based on the Igniter class carving and focuses on enhancing the class's Arcane Fracture identity ability. Dealing damage fills the Profession Identity gauge, allowing you to activate Arcane Rupture, which increases damage dealt and reduces the skill's cooldown. This ability becomes even more powerful if activated when the identity slot is at 100%. If you're playing the Ignition Witch, you'll need to wait for her gauge to reach 100% before using Arcane Fracture to maximize damage, as your Ignition Sculpture will further reduce skill cooldowns and increase your explosion rate and damage skills increased. You should use your strongest hitting skill (which also has the longest cooldown) along with Arcane Rift to deal a lot of damage. The only downside is that the blast window is usually very small, and if you miss your target, your contribution to your team's success will be minimal. If you prefer a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, here are some skills and their tripods to consider for the Igniter Witch. Aside from a few key skills like Armageddon, Blast, and Punishing Strike, you can try any skill that suits your playstyle. When it comes to increasing your attribute priorities, focus on collecting as many specializations as possible, followed by lightning and quickness. You should equip Igniter Sculpt (of course) as well as Full Attack (to improve casting or holding skills) or Grudge (a huge damage boost at the cost of more damage) to further increase your damage output. Note that when you reach level 50, you may not have all the skill points needed to unlock all three tripods for each ability you choose. So focus on maxing out your most powerful casting skills first (e.g. Armageddon and Blast) and go from there. Are you dreaming about being a successful player? Try to buy Lost Ark gold!
