Playstation is buzzing!

Ok, so I noticed that there is a hum coming thru the speakers on my TV and surround sound whenever I turn playstation on...be it for blu-ray or to play. If I move the wires around, the sound changes slightly but I can't get rid of it. That, and I have horizontal lines scrolling up the screen (i think just while i game, and could be because my last TV wasn't HD and this one I haven't configured yet?)

I previously thought my wires were crossed and that is what caused the buzz, but since I moved I have the wires totally separate and not touching...so...tech guys....?

You might just need new cords. I'm NOT a tech guy but.... That would be my guess.

not sure but i think that the scrolling lines means that your ps3 is close to getting fucked up, i remember someone saying that happened and then they couldnt even turn it on and had to send it in

As for the sound, I'd replace the cables also. Those things wear out so fast. Plus if you hadn't moved them in awhile but did to hook up the new tv, something in the bundle could have broken. Wiring is alot more fragile than manufacturers would have you believe.

Sounds like the wire shielding is damaged...somewhere.

 

have u tried using your OPTICAL connection to hear if buzzing is still present?

Are the wires near any sort of wireless device.? (or Radio.?)

I notice my radio & computer make funny noises when my cell phone is near.

I just moved not to long ago and now I have those scrolling lines I think it's either the wires or the tv config

There's also a slight chance that it might be "EMI" albiet slight, just make sure your video cables arent directly touching or very close to power cables, as it may come through as a hum.

LOL reminds me of my old 52 inch zenith, had to smack the side to get it to play in color than black and white.
