Official Rules for Urgent Fury: Liberation a Sniper Elite 5 TacMap Tournament

This is a Sniper Elite 5 TACMAP tournament for PlayStation and Xbox Players using cross play

These are the official rules for a TACMAP tournament the most coveted tourney here at Urgent Fury. Please make sure that you and your entire clan take the necessary time to read through these rules...twice. The smooth flow, the competitive gaming and the pure fun of these tournaments is dependent on each and every clan to respect the other enough to know the rules before beginning your first week. Knowing these rules will not only ensure a better experience for you and your opponents, but it can also give you an edge in strategy on your quest to become the champion of Urgent Fury: Liberation.

Rule Set 1: Rule Amending During Tournament Play

A : During the entire tournament, if there is a discrepancy in the way a clan or player perceives a rule, or the way a rule affects another rule in an unforeseen way, or in any instance where something was not covered within the rule sets to begin with, the following guidelines will be used to remedy the situation.

B : After the Admins find there is a complaint, the Admins will first offer an explanation/interpretation to clarify the intent of the rule and try to get tourney play resuming normally.

C : If the Clan Reps feel that the rule needs to be re evaluated, then the Tournament Admins will take the information and attempt to re-work the ruling in the best interest of the TOURNAMENT. This may or may not be applied to the immediate dispute. Clans and their Clan reps will not have a say in exactly how the rule is changed, but only to acknowledge that it needs to be addressed. The Tournament Admins will hear constructive input on the matter, and change the ruling as they see fit, taking into account the concerns brought forth by the Clan Reps, and the integrity of the tournament.

D : Once a rule is altered, there will be a forum-wide announcement stating so, but it falls on your Clan Rep's shoulders to MAKE SURE that your clan, ALL of your clan, is fully aware of the change.

E : For the purposes of transparency, any corrections to the rules will be with strike through text example for removed text and colored text example for added text.

F : If for any reason the Directors and Admins feel it necessary to place the tournament on hold, any timed suspension, execution, etc will pause as well. The clock will resume when the tournament resumes.

***This is a simple disclaimer to make certain that tournaments can continue as smoothly as possible in the event that a rule was inadequate or altogether missing from the rule set. We are only human and mistakes CAN happen.

A : Urgent Fury Directors & Staff will determine the clans chosen to participate in Urgent Fury: Liberation. The Directors reserve all rights to pass on any clan(s) they feel will not fit in this tournament, either by online actions, temperament on these forums, or simply because the quota for the clan limit was reached. The Directors of Urgent Fury are not obligated to disclose any reason for not accepting a particular clan into Urgent Fury.

B : This TacMap Tournament will be open ended event with a Stale Mate Provision. The Stale Mate Provision activates once we have 4 or less clans that have not been eliminated. During the Stale Mate period, Clans have to gain at least one territory a week. If a clan fails to gain a territory, the clan will declare a territory to be returned to the battlefield. This territory can be claimed by domination or through a neutral zone war.

C : All Urgent Fury TACMAP tournaments are free to enter. Urgent Fury provides these events as a free service to the community and are supplemented by Advertisements and Sponsors.

D : Once chosen to participate in UF: Liberation, each clan is responsible for appointing a PRIMARY CLAN REP and a SECONDARY CLAN REP for their clan. Your PRIMARY Clan Rep will be the first one to discuss any match issues in the Clan Rep Section. The only job of the SECONDARY Clan Rep is to represent your clan ONLY when your Primary CR is not available that day or week. The Clan Rep (or "CR") is responsible for all maneuvers for their designated clan, as well as being in charge of informing all their clansmen of any updates and/or changes to the happenings in the tourney. This includes any information discussed in the Weekly Meetings. In the best interest of your clan, PLEASE make sure your Clan Reps are the most responsible and most available members of your clan. They are in charge of getting to this forum on an almost daily basis to make sure your clan is informed of all happenings in this tourney. Immature Clan Reps or clan reps that fail to keep their clans informed of information from the forums and meetings will be removed by the UF Staff.

E : All meetings to decide territory ownership and attack coordination will happen on every SUNDAY of the week at a meeting starting PROMPTLY at 9pm CST. Discord will be utilized by Urgent Fury for the purpose of holding these war meetings.

F : All Clan Reps in the initial week of the UF: Liberation tournament will be choosing THREE TERRITORIES for their clan after they are given a random HQ Territory on the TACMAP. The Sniper Elite 5 maps and modes attributed to the territories that they choose will be UNKNOWN at the time of choosing. The maps for the territories will be revealed AFTER the entire selection is complete and will be revealed here on the Urgent Fury website www.urgentfury.com This allows those clans unfortunate enough to receive a last pick in the territory choosing to not have to be stuck with a necessarily bad map. All clans start off with four total territories with one guaranteed to be an HQ territory and one being an Airfield or a Bunker. Descriptions of these territory types are explained later in the rules.

A : After the initial clans are selected to participate in UF: Liberation, there will also be up to 3 total clans selected as alternates. These three clans initially will not be participating in the UF: Liberation tournament. However, they retain the chance to come into the tournament if any of the following occurs (Note: Thus far in all previous UF TACMAP tournaments, alternates were called upon, so don’t lose hope):

1. If within TWO WEEKS from the start of warring in the tournament a clan decides that they will drop out entirely or a clan has been disqualified by the Directors of UF, the first alternate clan chosen by the UF creators will be activated and that clan will automatically take charge of the drop-out clan's territories as their own. This happens ONLY within the first TWO WEEKS of play. In this event, all planned attacks/defenses for the dropout clan are CANCELED, with no awards for the dropout given to any other clan. The alternate clan starts fresh in the following week's war meeting.

2. If, AFTER TWO WEEKS from the start of warring in the tournament, a clan decides to drop from the tournament, then that clan's holdings will automatically be declared as neutral territories. These territories will become eligible through capture through claim of domination or through a neutral zone war.

B : If a clan is ejected from the tournament by the UF Directors for conduct issues and failure to adhere to warnings, then their current territories will declared neutral. This tournament and the Directors & Staff want nothing more than to have an honest game through and through. Take comfort in knowing that all decisions are deliberated on and are enacted fairly and with all participating clans' interests in mind. Clans who are ejected from the tourney due to damning evidence of questionable play risk permanent removal from the Urgent Fury community.

A : Clans will have one week after the initial territory-choosing meeting to confer with their clans to decide their course of action. The first meeting to declare attacks and defenses will be the week following the initial picks.

B : Clan Reps will declare their weekly attacks on neighboring enemies by way of a random drawing each and every week, every Sunday evening. This allows any clan a possible chance of being one of the first to declare their attacks on prime targets regardless of how well they are or are not doing in the tournament. The remaining territories will be chosen and assigned at random by the Directors. The total initial territories will vary based on total clans selected to join the event.

C : If a clan is not represented at a total of two (un)consecutive war scheduling meetings at any time during the course of UF: Liberation, then that clan is eliminated from the tournament at the close of the second meeting. The clan's holdings will automatically be declared as Neutral Territories and eligible for claim during the next meeting. If you're having problems with your REP, then make the motions to select a new replacement, for YOUR benefit.

D : Each clan will have a total of two attack options and two defend options every week. This is for standard play. A clan does not have to use all of their available attacks if they so choose. However, if a clan has an available defense available and a clan wishes to attack them, they must accept the attack and schedule it within the time frame for all wars. All times for wars are to be negotiated by the Clan Reps during the meeting at the appropriate time.

E: There is no "rolling over" of unused attacks. If your clan opts to refuse an attack option, then your clan loses its attack until the following week's war meeting when your clan will have its new set of 2 attacks.

F : All attacks are considered "en route," as in, once an attack has been declared, that attack follows through, regardless of whether the territory the attacking clan is attacking from has been taken by an enemy prior to that night's attack during the week. Forces sent to invade a territory are "en route" and unaffected by an attack and loss at home.

1. A Clan Rep cannot declare an attack on a territory that has already been attacked that week on a day BEFORE it’s already being attacked on. There will be no undercutting of other Clan Reps in their race for a specific target. You may only declare an attack on an already-attacked territory on a day AFTER the first war.

2. If you're scheduled to attack a clan and their territory on one day, but that clan loses its defense of that same territory to another clan who attacked the territory on an earlier day of the week, then your attack is void. You take on that risk if attacking a territory after someone already declared it that week.

G : Once a clan has been attacked their maximum allowed times for that week, then that clan can no longer be attacked with any following attack declarations from any other clan for the remainder of that war meeting.

H : On the night of territory picks by the Clan Reps, Clan Reps are to be prepared to announce what ONE night of the week is their "Bad Night." On this night, that clan does NOT have to accept any attacks on any of their territories each week. They can, if necessary, launch an attack on that night. This is to help alleviate the rigors of the tournament by giving your men one guaranteed night off. A clan may not, during any point of the UF: Liberation tournament, switch their "Bad Night" to another night of the week. The specified night stays as-is for the entire tournament and will be kept on record for all Clan Reps to easily reference.

I : All wars must be scheduled between the hours of 8pm CST to 11:00pm CST Monday through Saturday. There are NO wars allowed to transpire on a Sunday. That night is for war meetings only.

J : After each war meeting on every Sunday night, the UF: Liberation forum will be updated showing a full listing of all scheduled wars for the week so that all players can easily reference when they war. And all wars will be added to the UFGL League for purposes of War Stat Tracking.

K : If a Clan Rep is not present for a War Meeting, then the Clan Rep’s clan does not declare a war if his turn is passed. However, if during his absence, a clan attacks the missing Clan Rep’s clan, then the war is scheduled at the attacker’s convenience within the legal time frame for all wars. The missing defender is obligated to the set wartime. Make your meetings!

A : All clans that finally receive a formal invite to join in the Urgent Fury tournament are required to submit their most current roster lineup. Only your Clan Rep will do this and it will be done only in the Clan Rep section. Any player on your clan's roster NOT listed in the official lineup list will NOT be eligible for play in any UF-scheduled war for that month, until your roster can be updated again. All members of your roster must be a registered member of Urgent Fury and listed on your Clans Team Roster in UFGL.

B : Upon being selected as a participating clan in UF: Liberation, all clans MUST submit a 1-roster list of NO MORE than 32 players (a full, active roster's worth of players). This is to ensure that all clans, no matter how large or small, compete on an even playing level in regards to available soldiers. You may submit a smaller roster if you so choose. There is a 12 player minimum requirement to be eligible to play in UF: Liberation.

1: All clans must fill out the roster form and each player must register at Urgent Fury to be placed on the team roster. Any player NOT registered will NOT be eligible for play in any UF scheduled war. Once you have created the team be sure to add the user's PSN to the team roster by clicking the edit button scrolling to the bottom. Fill out the "Team Members Gamer Tag/PSNs" for each player.

C : Once your official lineup roster has been submitted, please make special note of the guidelines on which you may ADD or SUBTRACT players from your roster. During the course of UF: Liberation, clans may add or subtract players from their listed active roster during the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH, from midnight to midnight. This is done to help keep the list of eligible players manageable for the Directors & Admins of this tournament.

D : Players from invited clans to the most current UF tournament cannot, at any time, switch from one clan to another and play in UF: Liberation. If a player leaves or is booted from their clan during their clan's march through UF: Liberation, that individual is also disqualified from the entire tournament with any other clan. This is to help circumvent any potential ill will between clans during the tournament.

E : Clan Reps, please take note. You MUST submit a player’s name EXACTLY how it appears in the game. If your player uses any numbers, symbols, underscores or punctuation marks in their name, the official UF: POWII roster MUST show that. The only exception to this rule is capitalization. Get the names right the first time! We are NOT kidding!

1. When filling in the the PSN/GamerTag field please ensure that it is accurate as shown below

  1. UF_Shane
  2. VIP3R---
  3. lllxDUST xlll
  4. Joe____Blo

2. Please double and triple check your rosters before the submission date end. UF is not responsible for inaccurate submissions. You will not be able to replace the ineligible name for the duration of the tournament. If you have 2 mistakes, then your roster is effectively short 2 players for the duration of that month.

F : All clans are to check out EACH OTHER'S rosters before the start of the war. If you notice someone incorrect on the roster of the opponent, you will tell them immediately in the lobby, so that the offending clan has the opportunity to bring in a legal player WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT FOR THE START OF THE WAR, or play the man down in the war. IF both clans agree to begin without having to call on any ineligibility issues, once the war starts, all players are considered LEGIT and, even if there is a case of ineligibility found DURING the war, it is too late, and the war goes on AS IS. This will effectively eliminate any practices of "allowing" a clan to start knowing they already have an ineligible player on their team in order to get a free win.

G : Clans cannot agree to allow players that are not on the final rosters to play in advance. By doing so, it defeats the purpose having submitted rosters. If clans are caught doing this, both teams will receive a loss for their match, lose 2 territories and 2 players will be removed from their roster. The two players will include the Captain of the team (as designated on the roster) and one random player drawn by our staff.

1. If a clan is caught doing this a second time they will be suspended for 90 days, removed from the Tournament and All Territories will be declared neutral. In the event of a pending war that week. The attacking clan will be given a win and gain the territories.

2: If at anytime a clan is caught doing this and the players involved are under suspension or a ban BOTH TEAMS will be removed from the event and suspended for 90 days. This is a deterrent to help Clans understand we mean business. DO NOT TEST THIS RULE.

Rule Set 6: Clan Behavior Unfit for Urgent Fury

A : There will absolutely be NO threats, remarks, insinuations, posts, messages, images or quotes involving the use of racial, religious or disrespectful sexual slurs on ANY platform of UF. Any record or instance of this kind will be dealt with swiftly from a player disqualification from the tournament to the elimination of the entire clan, depending on the severity of the incident and the number of clansmen (man) involved. The Directors and Staff of UF will deliberate the penalty and the verdict will not be rescinded.

B : It is encouraged, though not strictly a rule by any means, that Only the Clan Rep (or the clan/team leader for that night) should speak in the lobby for their team until the match starts. This will reduce the risk of any bone-headed remarks by any of your clan mates when the lobbies should be respectful, or talking during the countdown, where foolish players may want to throw out a concealed comment that disrupts the respect of a UF war.

A : At ANY time that a MASS DROP occurs at the BEGINNING of the first round of a war, the map must be aborted and the attackers must make the new room again.

B : A "MASS DROP" will, for the duration of UF: Liberation, be categorized as such an event when HALF of the players from at least one team gets dropped from the onset of the first round. When this happens, all remaining players are to abort and re-make the room.

C : The Mass Drop must be recognized immediately. Clans seeing that only one or two players got dropped from their team and decide to unplug half the team to restart the match evenly WILL be disqualified from the war. This is an honor system and the rules for restarting after a legitimate drop were created for YOUR benefit. Please do not abuse them.

D DURING a war, all drops, no matter how small or large, are to be PLAYED THROUGH. Basically, there can be, from time to time, server problems that we have to work through. Also, just make sure that the players you walk into the war with have reliable connections so they don't get dropped (ie, quit the downloading while warring. Be courteous to your opponents as well as your teammates).

E : No matter HOW MANY players from a clan show up, a scheduled match MUST be played at the designated time and cannot be rescheduled for any reason. If a sorely outnumbered clan wishes not to go through with their war, they can opt not to show at all and forfeit their match as a full sweep victory to the winners.

F : The schedule for wars are as follows and there are to be NO exceptions:

1. The Defenders make the room ON TIME. Make it 5 minutes early to make CERTAIN the room is up at the designated time.

2: The defenders are to inform the attackers of which side or team they will start off on and then side-switching commences automatically from there.

3. The start of the war MUST begin NO LATER THAN TEN MINUTES after the designated start time of the war. At TEN MINUTES, no matter the number of clan attendance for either side, players must agree to commence play.

4. A LAG Test may be completed to ensure a good host. This must be completed with in 5 minutes of the deadline. Once a Lag Test begins, that is your Player cutoff point. No additional players can join the match.

5. THE NUMBER YOU GO IN WITH IS THE NUMBER YOU PLAY WITH. If you have late clan members, they are NOT allowed to join once the match/lag test has begun. If they join the match and participate in one live round, that clan is disqualified from that war.

6. Under NO circumstances should the start of a war be held up for ANY reason. People, we know there can be a courtesy here to wait, but we encourage you NOT to, and to begin the war AS AGREED by both Clan Reps at the scheduling meeting. If you cannot get clan mates at your war at the time designated, then take that problem up with your player(s). There is NO GUILT in requiring that a clan begin at TEN MINUTES after the designated time of the war. Some clans caught on this may say that forcing them to start short-handed, but on time, isn’t very “honorable” of the other clan. However, the way the situation should be looked at is that THEIR player not showing up is showing both clans disrespect. The wars start ON TIME.

G : At NO TIME will a clan be able to switch out a player in mid-war (referred to as "subbing"). Once your clan heads into a war, the team you walk in with is the team you walk out with. If your clan is caught illegally subbing during a war, then your clan will automatically LOSE that war. The 2nd infraction will result in your clan's expulsion from the tourney, no questions asked. This also includes players who get dropped and can't, for some reason, get back on. If the dropped player, because of connection problems, cannot log back into the war, then the war finishes WITHOUT him and his team plays short a body.

H : If, by fault of the game, a player is spawned UNDER the ground or high atop an otherwise unreachable location, by any normal account, spawns in a place not set by natural game standards (typically known as a “glitch”), then that player is NOT to engage in any combat and is to immediately leave and come back. IF a player takes a kill from one of these "glitch" points, then that offending clan will immediately lose that war and all rewards associated with that war. The player knowingly breaking the rules will be subject to expulsion from the tourney. Also, the clan of the offending player cannot add any further players to their roster through the entire FOLLOWING month as a penalty.

I : If, during the course of the war, a typical drop occurs where the entire room is dropped with the exception of one man on one team, the room is to be re-made and the war is to pick up replaying the last round where the room was dropped. A clan will not gain rounds simply by being the only clan in the room. Only players involved in the initial war can enter the newly remade room. This is not an opportunity to fill up some no-shows who finally made it online. When the new room is made up, NO NEW NAMES are to participate.

J : If a clan decides not to show for its war, or the clan has simply forgotten there was to be a war, then the outcome is to be considered a SWEEP and the swept attackers OR defenders lose two players from their roster per the standard "Sweep Rule". However, in this instance, since no players had showed for the war, the winning clan may pick ANY eligible player from the no-show's clan roster with both choices given free reign over the entire roster.

Each of the territories in UF: Liberation will have one of three types of territories attributed to them.

  • An HQ Territory can be attacked by ANY bordering territory or by an Airfield
  • The Unoccupied Eagle's Nest Territory will be claimed by the first owner of the Brandenburg Bunker Territory
  • The Occupied Eagle's Nest Territory can only be attacked from the Brandenburg Bunker Territory
  • An Airfield Territory can be attacked by ANY bordering territory or by an Airfield
  • An Occupied Bunker Territory can only be attacked by a Clan with two adjoining territories or by an Airfield
  • An Unoccupied Bunker Territory can only be attacked by a Two Clans with two adjoining territories each or can be claimed by a Clan with all four adjoining territories
  • An Undesignated Occupied Territory can only be attacked by ANY bordering territory or by an Airfield
  • A Neutral Territory can only be attacked by Two Clans with adjoining territories or claimed by a clan with two adjoining territories.

A : All rooms MUST be made by the time designated by both Clan Reps at the scheduling meeting. NOTE: if the room is up late, then the defenders forfeit the match. In your best interests, please have the room up at least 5 minutes before the actual start time.

B : All map mode parameters are clearly illustrated for you in this section with pics depicting the EXACT parameters of a room. Constants throughout each map mode.

C : In the lobby before the war, if an attacker refuses to begin at 10 minutes after the official start time of the war for whatever reason, including waiting for a late arrival, then the attack has failed and there will be no war. Also, if a defender refuses to start at 10 minutes after the official start time of the war for whatever reason, including waiting for a late arrival, then the defense has failed and the territory is transferred to the attacker by default. A 3rd party UF clan member can be called upon to verify that a room has not begun on time.

D : It will be known that ALL CORE maps for the entirety of UF: Liberation will be comprised of Sniper Elite 5 game types TEAM MATCH and NO CROSS

E : 12 hours prior to a match, the attacking clan must post the designated rep for the match in the PSN Swap Section if the attacking team does not post the Rep for the match within the allotted time, the match will be listed as a loss.

F : Within one hour prior to the war, the Defending team must have sent the Designated war rep a friend invite to ensure this player is able to join the war. If this person has not accepted your friend request please have your clan rep notify staff via the Clan rep section.

G : In the case of a Special war where a Staff member is acting as the Neutral Host, The teams clan rep must join the room no later than 5 minutes after the scheduled match time to bring in their players for the match. If no rep is available, you must post in the PSN Swap section that your rep is not available and a designated player's PSN ID shall be added for the match. Players are expected to be in the match no later than 10 min after the war time as specified in previous Rules. Invites may or may not be sent out as a courtesy depending on what is going on at the time. If the host is unavailable for any reason, the special match will be rescheduled for the following week. This will only apply in extreme situations.

A : At the END of the war, The Attacking representative from each clan will report in to the UF forums and report the match results in the War Report Section Using the designated War Report Form. The information will result in a post as such:

Subject line will read as: [attacking clan] (Succeeded/Failed) in attack [defending clan] for "territory fought over" and (Yes/No) POWs were Captured

And the form includes:

1: The attacking clan
2: The defending clan
3: The name of the territory being attacked
4: The Attack Success
5: Were POW captured?.
6: Which (if any) POWs were taken, and to which POW territory they were deposited in.
7: Were any host drops and which player/clan was the host.

1. The Attacker has 12 hours to report the war, if a war is not reported in 12 hours from the scheduled war time, the war will be reported by admins as a failed attack.

2. The Defender has 12 hours after the war is reported to confirm the war, if a war is not confirmed, the war will be confirmed my admins and the defender will loose an attack the following week.

B : A clan is eliminated from UF: Liberation in one of two ways:

1. When they lose the defense of their last remaining territory, and they have either no more attacks left in the week, or have failed in their last attack scheduled for that week.

2. When a clan has every single one of their players either interred in a POW territory and/or dead.

C When a clan is eliminated, they no longer war in UF: Liberation and their Clan Rep will be removed from the Clan Rep Section.

D : SPECIAL PERFORMANCE AWARD: The clan responsible for the last war that ousts a clan from the UF: Liberation tournament will be awarded one LESS defense the very next week. This reward does not carry over to another week that is more convenient for the winning clan. No matter who wishes to attack this clan, if they have already accepted one defense earlier in the war meeting, they are done and do not get attacked a second time. This is done at the next Sunday War meeting. This performance award does not apply to any wars occurring during Forced Offensive Week.

Rule Set 12: Stale Mate Provision & Forced Offensive Weeks

A : UF: Liberation will run until all clans are eliminated.

B : Description of "Forced Offensive Week": Forced Offensive Week is are designated weeks in which war declarations are reversed. In standard play, attackers declare their targets and wars for that territory are scheduled. In the tournament's Forced Offensive Week, the war meeting will see defenders choosing who attacks them and the attackers having to comply. This throws in a unique twist to wars, the maps used, and the opponents you draw into combat with you. All POW rules apply in Forced Offensive Week. The Forced Offensive week will only occur once in every 6 week period and will be announced at the war meeting one week prior to the Forced Offensive Week.

C : Once the Stale Mate Provision as Activated, all remaining clans MUST use both of their attacks every week, unless the clan they can attack has its defensive quota already filled. If the desired attack is blocked off, but another attack CAN be made, then the alternate attack MUST be made. In this scenario, an attacker must declare from which territory they are attacking FROM. If the attack is unsuccessful, then the attacking clan loses the territory they attacked FROM to the defenders.

1: Once a territory is used by a clan to launch their attack FROM, they cannot declare another attack from that same territory for another war in the same week. Once a territory is attacked by another clan, that territory cannot be attacked again, by either the same clan or a different one, for the rest of that week.

2: Once a territory is involved in a war in Stale Mate Status, either as a territory being attacked or a territory being attacked FROM, that territory cannot be involved in an attack or defense for the rest of the week. In the case of a clan with only one territory left, whether they attack or defend that week depends on their draw at the war meeting.

D : Rosters are locked once the Stale Mate Provision has activated.
