So SC beta is aboot to start. Assuming that the servers are solid and gameplay isn't too jacked up, I have a question.

 

 

How many of you think you will still log onto COD in September, not counting tourney games? Will one map be enough to keep you entertained?

 

 

As long as everything runs smoothly, I really don't know that I will log onto COD, except for the two weeks after beta ends.

It's a beta. Your going to get frustrated after 3 days, I think people will still be playing other games.

Yeah, I will do my part to exhaust the servers, but at the same time we will prolly be still MASSING every Friday, so CoD has to stay fresh with me.

Think about it...There allowing masses in to play. It will be a download from online.....C'mon. Battlefield Bad Company did this (as well as alot of othere) and they call it a playable demo.....

I didn't say other games. I said COD. And technically it is a playable demo. I dunno about you, but to me a half-assed Socom > Cod4.

the beta runs sept 1st...the game releases oct ~24... less than 2 months to finish, the beta will be near completion and thus ill be on it all the time

I'll be playing COD4 even after Socom comes out, but on the 360, of course. Once October hits, all the noobs go back to school and have a lot of work to do, so we won't have to hear the 12 year olds on the mic. I love COD4, but I understand why all you guys hate it... you play it on the ps3

While it is loads funner on the Box, Church, I just don't like FPS. I am forever getting hung up on a barrell or wall or some other obstruction I can't see. Plus the feel of FPS just isn't right. Kinda like the older racing games where the cockpit view just wasn't right. So I'll be trading in cod for ps3 and prolly rarely playing on the x-box.

Imma trade my CoD in I hate CoD, Socom is gonna be the game. For the two weeks in between I can play soul caliber, assassins creed, and metal gear solid.

Even if its not the greatest we are still gonna play its Socom we are gonna love it because of that lol.

I will still play cod4. even if socom is good, cod4 is my first online shooter and i have to say ,even with it's litttle problems, it's one of the best games i have ever played. i tried to play socom ca after cod4 came out and it was like playing an old ps1 game to me. i like all good games. even mgo feels like socom to me. there will be better games that come out, because with the graphics and endless possibilities with the consoles that are out today, i don't think any one game will dominate.

yes but you did not have to preorder to get that demo... I think the same thing by the way. demo or beta if it works out im going to play it until they dont allow me to anymore.

isn't that what you do in a beta, if i recall when the cod4 beta for pc was out they wanted feedback from us if we found any glitches or errors, which there were many. I thought a beta was for that.

Rooster is right. Most of the time they call it a beta when it is just a playable demo released earlier than the actual demo.
