Guys, this is getting old and, whether you wish to believe this or not, this is

becoming very indicative of Havoc, Chaos Tactics and the overall Stormwatch clan as

a whole.

smell of fear."

Listen...what is the MATTER with you?

You're coming here....now as a HOST CLAN of another tournament, and you're basically

coming in saying that Urgent Fury is SCARED of you, your leader and your

tournament. Unfortunately, we also have a few blind followers within the community

here that feel the same. That we censor. That we hide things. That we delete

peoples heart-felt thoughts or something. And we're wondering where the twisted

mentality is coming from?

 

There is a STARK comparison here to be made that perhaps some here are not making.

There is NO Sniper or Undertow on the Chaos Tactics forum making posts...or even

REGISTERED.

There are NO Ravenfall or UF Staff members on that Chaos Tactics forum writing

stupid, immature comments like "I love the smell of fear" or "if we apply to a

TACMAP tourney, anyone want to take bets whether we'll make it or not?"

Please read again: NO ONE affiliated with UF or Ravenfall is on that forum posting

pro-UF/ anti-CT comments.

But what do we have here on the UF forum? Exactly that.

 

It truly shows the maturity level of this clan with its newfound glory of being a

"host clan" of a tourney. They wanted it, they got it. UF did NOTHING to get in

the way of that and we don't CARE about it. Everyone is free to do what they

like....except on this forum, where it seems UF itself cannot do what they like.

It's our home, but go figure. Right now, whether they admit it (unlikely) or not,

they're having FUN coming on here and stirring the pot with their jabs and sometimes

seemingly meaningless "I love it here but I'm being forced out" posts. We see

through it. We've been here long enough to see the snakes and to see the fans of

Urgent Fury. It's not rocket science. Plenty of people here think they can post

with hidden venom and people won't see it. Problem with that logic is, they post

with venom with the purpose TO be seen, and then they come back with "hey man, you

read too much into that but way to go hysterical." That's the equivalent of beating

around the bush trying to ask a girl out, and when she asks if that's what you're

doing, you say "oh hell no, sorry. You thought I was asking you out? No, no. You

read that all wrong." Easy way out.

 

Urgent Fury is not "afraid" of anything, so get over yourselves.

We're here making tourneys for a public. We don't OWN them, we don't INFLUENCE

them. We're just HERE. We make tourneys and you're FREE to come and play them and,

yes, you're free to leave. But if you're going to leave, then LEAVE and do so

quietly. Everyone involved here LOVED talking about the "winning with honor and

losing with dignity" when it served their purpose in trying to get INTO tourneys

here and staying here in the community. But where is your integrity, honor and

dignity now? When something doesn't go someone's way, then the honor and dignity

get thrown out the window. Convenient. All the while, Urgent Fury must do what is

expected of it.....to continue to cater to the egos.

 

There are two types of people here in this community.

Those who like what UF does and support it. They should stay and have a good time.

And those who don't like UF for various reasons and take their little childish jabs

when they can. They should go, find something else suitable to them, and have a

good time.

If that was done, then in the end, EVERYONE would be happy.

 

 

The main thing that seems to fly above a lot of heads here is that we have noisy,

troublesome posters here creating friction because they feel like it. The CT forums

do not have that going on because Urgent Fury is NOT over there doing the same

thing.

We have professional courtesy and politeness enough NOT to do that.

We're not being afforded the same respect and courtesy.

Call it whining, call it crying....call it what you like. What you SHOULD be

calling it is a clear revelation of the clear DIFFERENCE in professional approach

that Stormwatch and Urgent Fury handle things. If that is the type of tactics you

like.....a "host clan" coming to another's forum and creating this friction and

backhanded comments like "I love the smell of fear" and other nonsensicle "bets,"

then by all means round up your troops and head on over to the goodness of Chaos

Tactics. If you like what you see here in Urgent Fury, where the creators DON'T

need to go to other tourney forums and create stress, then stay here. I think the

differences are clear.

 

We've entertained Stormwatch here for many years and as they make their exit here to

embrace a new chapter in their clan lives, this is the going away present we get.

Every tourney they entered, free. Every tourney they wanted in on, with the

exception of one, they got into. Every bit of advice Havoc needed in starting his

new clan and becoming a clan leader, Undertow gave to him over the phone. Undertow

even had to get an unexpected phone call from Havoc last night asking him about

everything and Tow GAVE him advice on running his own tourney. Tow is a tough love

guy and gave that advice to him...and Havoc got his feelings hurt thinking Tow was

telling him to go to hell or something. Havoc, running a tourney is TOUGH business

and welcome to it. Tow was helping you, and you already show you have some thin

skin. Hopefully that fixes itself as you go through the tribulations of running a

tourney.....and now, seeing some of the bullshit from people that goes along with

running a tourney.

 

Urgent Fury is NOT on the CT boards creating drama and trouble. We're just here, in

our own home, doing what we do best. Why don't you take a cue and try to do the

same thing. BE respectful and courteous. If you're able to. You're starting a new

tourney now so you have a LOT of work ahead of you. So we have NO idea what you're

doing here.

Urgent Fury's creators have ALWAYS had a lot of work to do here, so we're not on

other forums. That much is evident and clear.

But to some, that's still not enough here and they just HAVE to create the

friction. Word to all of them, Stormwatch or otherwise...if you need to post your

poison about this tourney, take yourself and your clan and find greener pastures.

You NEED to, for your gaming pleasure and our own. Here at UF, we'd rather cater

and use time on those who ENJOY their time here....not those idiots who don't like

anything about UF but still, for some reason, can't bring themselves to be away from

it.

 

If we're such a bad tourney....if we really do reek of "fear," then leave and

cleanse yourself of the bullshit. If you do, then we can finally do the same as

No it doesn't. Perhaps it shows the maturity level of that one person, but not the entire clan. Every clan has people in it that sometimes say things that might not reflect feeling of the clan overall.

Looks like you guys are the one's with the venom. We initially handled ourselves very well and most of the community, even your very own staff agrees to that. I know, I've read it with my own eyes in PM's. Now you two seem to want to turn it around, make us look as bad as you can. Typical "spin doctors". But hey, I get it. I do agree that one member has acted poorly with his comments and that will be handled, believe me. And I apologize for that.

I honestly thank you guys for the hard work you have done here. I never had more fun playing socom then when in a UF tourney match. I really don't think you have anything to be afraid of here. UF is the benchmark, likely always will be. No one other then one rogue poster thinks you guys have any reason to be afraid.

But through out your entire diatribe, you referred to two posts...That's just TWO comments out of how many made by *S* members. All the positive we have said...even recently, conveniently dismissed as backhanded. Well not from me they weren't. And I'm not going to sit here and let you bash us in your backhanded way when we initially did our best to transition smoothly. The post Havoc made in the thread by JyK was done with class. No real comment at all. His post that was deleted was a thank you and a good bye. Again done with class and respect....DELETED....how convenient. I'm sorry if you take offense Sniper, but some of your jabs I took personally and it's not all of us that are causing issues, in fact it's the vast minority.

 

 

Thank you Tow and Sniper. Best tourney in SOCOM. And an even better community to be apart of. I love the competitiveness, the respect, the intelligence and honor. All I can say is I have always respected Havoc and *S*. One big reason for that is Havoc and the leadership would never let someone shit in this house. A place my team and friends call home. Sniper is passionate about UF and his post is simply a reflection of being tired of the bullshit. Omni you're right a single person doesn't reflect an entire clans position.. but a clan is a team, when one speaks they speak for all.. regardless of if the entire clan agrees.. often that is just how it is taken. So when a member says something stupid you don't agree with it's up to the clan leaders to correct the assumption.

 

I have high hopes Stormwatch will make CT better and help Soulja do so. I have no doubt UF doesn't fear any other tourney site, and we do care, just not in the way you think. We care about UF, and that's about all, with other tourney sites we neither are concerned nor not concerned. We just move along tending to our own business. You can take that as just simple good advice if you like.

 

Lastly anymore talk on this, at this point is just breaking a cardinal rule here of non advertisement of other tourney sites.. for that reason just drop it and move along and don't be surprised if further post on the subject get deleted.. it's not out of fear.. it's simply a matter of not following the rules.

It's funny, we've been in a few tourneys, I know Sniper, Undertow, but don't worry we wash pretty good and used protection, but in all the places we've fired our guns, Urgent Fury is the only place that has been run from our opinion, fairly and with Honor. All UF tourneys are well thought out and most contingencies thought out.
