Hi guys. I found an amusing website – “Belief-O-Matic†–

If you are unsure of your religious match, or are just curious to see how goofy this online survey is, give it a try … and share your results with us.

Here is the link:

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

My results...

1. Mahayana Buddhism (100%)

2. Theravada Buddhism (98%)

26. Roman Catholic (19%)

well I guess this is correct since when asked I tell folks I’m a “Buddhist Catholic†when they ask me what that is.. I reply.. “ I was raised a Catholic but no longer follow the doctrine my beliefs are Buddhist in nature. Hence I guess that’s why Buddhism is listed #1 and Catholic is way down at the bottom at #26. But I'm a bit disturbed that Islam was above Catholic...???

Well had to read some of them to find out what they are. I guess my number 3 would be the best for me

Also sometimes referred to as traditionalist, orthodox, fundamentalist, or evangelical. This is an umbrella term for Protestant denominations, or churches within denominations, which are Bible-centered, viewing the Holy Bible as the final and only authority, the inerrant Word of God, interpreted literally as law. There are more than 2,000 Protestant denominations offering a wide range of beliefs, from extremely liberal to mainline to ultra-conservative, and those that include characteristics on both ends. Examples include some churches within Pentecostal, Southern Baptist, fundamentalist, evangelical, Lutheran, etc. Anglican/Episcopalian is often regarded as a "bridge" denomination between Roman Catholic and Protestant.

I guess we all need to find ourselfs with the Lord befor POW starts.

Wow... what the hell is Unitarian Universalism?

a religion founded by some dude in the 1800'S It's otherwise known as being a member of the Church of the Ladder Day Saint's of Jesus Christ... :D

in essence your faith isn't far different then those of the Jehovah's Witnesses, who commit sin to spread the word of God.

D

What? where the heck did you get that from??

but no it's not the Church of Latter Day Saints... LOL..

I found it interesting that everyone who did this got at least over 50% (with some having it their top score) for UU or Unitarian Universalism which I guess a follower would be called a Universal Unitarian.. (hmmm they like the letter "U" eh..)

Unitarian Universalism (UUism) is a theologically liberal religious movement characterized by its support of a "free and responsible search for truth and meaning." This principle permits Unitarian Universalists a wide range of beliefs and practices.

After Wiki'n it it seems a UU'r holds truth, honesty and the inherent worth and dignity of every person in high regard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unitarian_Universalism

I guess you learn something new every day since I didn't even know this religion existed.. but with values such as the ones mentioned I can see how folks who despise dishonesty, cheating and disrespect of others would find similarities with it.

here' a quote I found from a UUist...

"I do not use the word 'God' because I think it has been corrupted. ...I use phrases such as 'Spirit of the Universe,' 'Spirit,' 'the Divine,' or 'Spiritual Power.'"

LOL so if a UF'r one was to convert to UUism.. does that make YOU a UF UUist? I don't know, do U? LOL.
