The avatars are a fun little gimmick, maybe when they release more clothing i'll get heavily into them. I hope they incorporate them in more then a few arcade games. After all Microsoft wants to beat PS3's HOME don't they?

They're really two completely different things. Home is more about a virtual environment and interacting with other avatars.. NXE is more about having an online persona in the form of an avatar and implementing those avatars into your profile and games. So it's really hard to say if M$ wants to beat Sony.. or if they just want to prove that they can announce something and release it on time, unlike big ol' Home
