SEQUOYAH Posted December 25, 2008 Report Staff Posted December 25, 2008 The story behind it is, the first time it was built, the city of Anchorage actually made a city wide ban on snowzilla. They said it was a saftey hazard, and a distraction for drivers. Now they " mysteriously" appear each winter. http://www.snowzilla.org/ Quote
[RVN] 6raVIty Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 I read the article saying it was destroyed as of 12/21... Then this morning I heard it was rebuilt. I'll have to go over and see it. If I do I'll take some pictures and throw 'em up. Quote
Guest [+30]PuddyTat Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 LMAO...we have done something similar here for years now. every saturday before easter, myself and a few friends drive up in the mountains, shovel our trucks full of snow, and then head back into town where we build a giant easter egg. we started on main street the first year, right in the middle of town, but after a couple years, we found it was wya more fun to "hide" the egg around town. believe it or not, there are very few people who know who does this, and there are actually a LOT of people who get up easter morning and makes the rounds to see if they can find the egg, lol.
