UNCLE-SID25 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Jan 3rd 2008- Study some results from LY Sandiego VS Indy Last Year play offs: In this game these guys beat the hell out of each other- In my MANY years of watching football it was the most physical hard hitting game I have ever watched. Who ever won, you knew would not be able to play worth a shit next week... Both teams took heavy injuries from this game into the begining of THIS year. 3 words for the simple minded- Healthy Sleepers WIN Quote
UNCLE-SID25 Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 Repeat from last year (see colts fans): Quote

UNCLE-SID25 Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Fun Fact- Did you know? THE CHARGERS HAVE SCORED OVER 93 POINTS IN JUST THEIR LAST 2 GAMES. IN THE PAST 2 SEASONS THE CHARGERS HAVE 12 INTERCEPTION ON MANNING. QB Philip Rivers has led the Chargers to three AFC West titles in his three years as a starter. CB Antonio Cromartie has four of his 14 career interceptions, including the playoffs, against the Colts’ Peyton Manning. Rivers IS the NFL’s leading quarterback regarding rating and touchdown passes. UNCLE-SID25 Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Its not magic, its math and reality- But if we were to look at the 8/8 season a few key things need to be mentioned. *They lost 90% of their games by an average of under 3 points *Injuries- When 60% of your team is at 60% for 60% of the season the Numbers =.500 *1 loss was due to "a mistake by the official"- No just a bad call but an admitted error by the official that cost the chargers a divisional loss. *Chargers HAD a def cord through 70% of the season that ruined the chargers ability to get to the QB. That has been fixed by his replacement and over the past 4 weeks- The chargers D has tripled its sacks and interceptions. Lastly there are not too many teams out there that can put up 93 points in 2 games not knowing if they are even going to be in the playoffs. The chargers may be a .500 team in the post season but they deserve to be there over SEVERAL other post season teams. Quote
RNG187 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 those are some pretty fun facts sid! Quote
Prane Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I still can't pick the Chargers Sid. Gates has missed practice this week and the most interesting stat of all is that the Chargers are the 2nd worst team in the league against the pass, and they have to face the HOT Colts offense with Manning leading Dallas Clark, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Anthony Gonzalez.
