mac or pc?

Ok, I'm going to jump in here and say first off I use both platforms. I prefer Mac. More stable and user intuitive. Over priced? Maybe. I believe you get what you pay for in life. I have NEVER got a virus, popups, shit taking over my browser, no blue screens of death and no hang time waiting for programs to open. I like both platforms but for you money Mac is better. Mac can run Vista actually more efficient and faster. So if you get a Mac you can easily run Vista and Tiger. So you get a PC AND a Mac. LOL

It comes down to preference like someone else said. That's it. Both good platforms. I just find Macs more user friendly. And for all that are saying PC for gaming only... BS. I run plenty on mine just fine. Just like Macs are best for design. BS... maybe 8 years ago. Not anymore though. Both are cross capable now and run just fine with this apps. Just my input. ;D

My god man.. & you still prefer PSN/Socom. lol

Yeah, I've been running this HP PC almost 5 years.

All I did was upgrade the memory from 512 to 2G's.

This thing runs perfect for me too.. I had ONE problem with it, and it was a spyware or something probably from porn or whatever.. but it was an easy fix and I never had anything else go wrong with it.

I find it hard to believe that anybody has a MAC over 5 years old they can actually upgrade. In fact.. i know in alot of cases it's next to impossible to upgrade some MAC's by yourself, and others it's difficult.

I dont know man, everything with a PC is so EASY...

I dont know how anyone thinks MAC's are more friendly.

If you mean the interface.. like the GUI is colorful and has bubbles and stuff to make it so even "slow" people or 4 years olds could understand than yea that's fine. But I've always ran a professional edition of whatever OS I had. Back in the day I ran Window's NT and now I Run XP Pro, but i switch it to classic view because I hate the bubbles and stuff. All that interface stuff just isnt for me.

LMAO! I knew this would turn into a pissing contest! LOL

Dave, dude... I'm sorry man, but every expert, magazine, pundit, poll... ect has come to the conclusion that Macs ARE more intuituve and user friendly and it has nothing to do with the interface. ::) It has to do with the overall design and layout. Or maybe it's because when you buy a printer you just hook it up and the Mac finds it and it instantly works... no searching for drivers on the internet or putting in a disc to install drivers. Or maybe the fact that everything is built around drag and drop. The only way you could make a statement like your saying, unless you have NEVER ran on a Mac. LOL I'm telling you, I have Parallels and I run Vista (which was a DIRECT rip off on OSX)... faster and more efficient then my girl's Dell sitting next to me.

Bottom line for me... I am a web designer and graphic artist so I know and use both platforms, Myself, I prefer Macs. It's a preference thing. And Chilli... SHUT IT!!! LLOLOLOL :-*

As long as I have PC hooked up online...

IT DOES THE SAME THING. So... I dont see the difference.

And I dont like Windows Vista... so...

Were talking about the machines not the operating systems.

And dude im sorry, but without operating systems.. hardware for hardware.. THE PC is a much better option for anyone that knows how to work one.

But again.. it's an opinion thing.. so lets try not to use names or single somebody out.

P.C. Dell is not a Compatible PC. Dell is almost like gateway or Compaq. I dont like them. The best thing I believe is an IBM/PC compatible computer. Not IBM Brand specific... but fully compatible. IDK.. maybe it's just because Im more experienced with some stuff. I dont need anything user friendly.

I don’t mind Mac’s they are really good for graphics and pro audio as well. However I prefer self built PC’s. For one you get a lot more bang for the bucks when you build it yourself. Another advantage is the wide range of cases to choose from, the ability to pick and choose exactly what peripherals you want such as DVD, RW’s , better video cards, how much ram, processor speed, hard drive size.. etc. etc.. Lastly and the most important reason for building one yourself is the clean installation of a OEM windows OS. Dell, Sony, Hp and other manufactures PC’s all come loaded full of pure crap. Tons of garbage software that slow done your PC, run in the background and cripple the PC’s performance. Clean OS installations give you exactly what you need and want without the trash. Without the pre-loaded junk, nor any recovery disk that only reloads the refuse when a problem occurs, clean installations from OEM Windows disk results in sound and stable machines. My main PC has been running straight for three years, never once has it become unstable. PC’s are the way to go for gaming, internet, word processing, finance and publishing. Mac’s for graphics and music. Although Photoshop, Illustrator, Macro-media Flash and Dream weaver all work just fine on a well built PC. Pro Tools and Digidesign Sound software for PC also work just as well as their counterparts on Mac. It's just a matter of what you are used to.

I own both but the Mac is basically a paper weight, I have too much fun building and upgrading PC's to go full Mac. With Mac's you do indeed get what you pay for, unfortunately with Mac's what you get is what you are stuck with. With a PC if you don't like it, rebuild it.
