Guest [iLL] Andawg Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Well at home it's set up to a TV with an HDMI connection, which you have to set up in the settings menu. And if you forget to change it to a normal connection when you travel you can't see anything when you hook it up to a hotel tv and try to practice with your team. Just thought people would enjoy a little giggle at my expense. Don't worry about me, I have a lap top and a six pack so i'm good. Quote
AminalMotheR Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 you mean your hotel dont have a 42" High Def LCD TV ?? Quote
-SouthwoodS- Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 all you need to do is turn the ps3 on but hold the standby button until you here a beep. It should go back to the normal visual setting. Quote
Guest [iLL] Andawg Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Nice call Southwoods, Thanks. Quote
o-BacklasH-o Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Yup Andawg I had the same issue back when I first bought my ps3. Luckily it was before I went out of town and not while I was out of town lol. Quote
Guest [iLL] Andawg Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 now the signal strength here is about 60% or less, I'm in the wrong end of the building I think....but [LA] I'll be home Tues for our war so you still have to worry. Quote
-SouthwoodS- Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Cant wait to start of this UF tournament. Quote
SOTG Zero Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Lol.. I'm glad I don't to change outputs on my PS3. I bought a G-Pak and its been working great for travleing, for like 5 months. I always keep it inside the case, just open it up and you got a little station for your PS3. Its great if you plan on moving your ps3 a lot. Quote
hannibal Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 LOL I did the same thing. My G/F has a plasma TV and that is where I first played my PS3. I used the HDMI cable and when I got home I hooked it up to component cables but I don't have a HD tv. The screen was blank and I started to panic. I looked through my book and couldn't find anything saying what I needed to do and turned it off and back on holding the standby button and it was fixed. Damn that was freaking me out because my g/f lives 30 minutes away and I was thinking I was going to have to drive over there to change it then drive back. Quote
-Wu-WreakHavok Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 SouthwoodS ]all you need to do is turn the ps3 on but hold the standby button until you here a beep. It should go back to the normal visual setting. haha NOW you tell him... Quote
CaptainHansolo Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 andawg i bet you use the HDMI cables but you dont have to even thou its better. you can just buy the component video cables and then you wont have to change back and forth Quote
