I will also build a gaming one but just not now Quote
-Rooster- Posted February 15, 2009 Author Report Posted February 15, 2009 Actually...I wouldnt mind suggestions for mother board CPU and ram LOL.... I want DDR3 and quadcore. Quote
[*N*]Sal0713 Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 If you want DDR 3 then go for the intel. Quote
[*N*]Sal0713 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 But recommend getting a bit more ram instead of just 2gb. I'm sure Goat will stop by and share his opinions with you. Quote
Chili327 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Depends.. sounds like you DO want a gaming computer..! Out of those 2 examplesi would pick the first one only because of the Motherboard, but they both would be fine for web surfing, & simple gaming. But it sounds like you are wanting to go all the way right now, so there is plenty of other options.! Quote
[*N*]Sal0713 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Chili is right you can build a decent gaming pc cheap. Quote
-Rooster- Posted February 16, 2009 Author Report Posted February 16, 2009 Sal0713 ]Chili is right you can build a decent gaming pc cheap. No I cant LOL Im so going crazy! I have been looking at PC crap for 4 days straight! Here is what I want /need; Case: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3829123&sku=T925-1258 Power supply (not sold on this one): http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4197094&sku=Q131-1060 CPU/RAM (Just seemed like decent price)- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3970768&sku=Q6700-4GB Motherboard (I like it): http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4016444&sku=A455-2834 Video Card: Already have a Radeon 9800 pro 128mb, Want to reuse. OS: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2571830&sku=M17-7503 Just the total here is about $850...Still need HDD and CD drives(Sata for both) See what I mean :-\ I want better then this but I dont want to spend so much RITE NOW. Hmm...what to do! Quote
[*N*]Sal0713 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 First of all I know what you mean about going crazy looking at PC stuff i went thou it 2 weeks ago LOL. The Armor + is a beauty! not as bad-ass as my Cooler master HAF but is good. LOL The power supply 650W for 125? I paid 80 for my 750W but it's a non modular. I'm sure you can find a cheaper one lol. Asus is a good brand it was was recommended to me by a few people. Cd drives go to Newegg.com they are cheap. HDD ask Goat. But if you don't want to spend much money now go for those things and later on you can always upgrade it, like the graphic card. Quote
Chili327 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Yea Rooster, if you are NOT going to build a gaming PC than you wont need that good of parts.., but if you ARE building a gaming PC you will DEFINITELY want a better graphics card.. Hell i think the new "Windows Vista" reccomends 256MB. (that 125MB card is not going to suit you well, eitherway you go) But if you insist on reusing it, then i would NOT go for the Gaming PC. Gaming PC: Buy (stick with) - Case - Motherboard - CPU/RAM - GFX Card (NEW) - Better Power Supply Reuse Old copy of XP. Web Surfing PC: Buy - Motherboard - CPU/RAM (no need for 4GB) Reuse - GFX Card - Old case* - Power Supply* - XP *This also depends on what you have from the old PC. Quote
SHANE23 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 If you could spend a little more money and look at the LGA 1366 socket motherboards and CPUs. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4424360&CatId=4139 Quote
