Tony G traded to Atlanta Falcons

Recommended Posts

He was traded for Atlanta's 2010 2nd round pick. I know Tony is getting a little older but he can still play a hell of a game. Great trade for Atlanta but it doesn't seem so hot for Kansas City. Now Matt Ryan has another great target to throw to. Things are looking up in Atlanta these days.

While that's good logic, he could end up sucking it up the rest of his career, kinda like Alge Crumpler in Hotlanta. :-\

True Alge Crumpler sucks now but Tony Gonzalez is on a different level than Crumpler. He has always been productive even when he hasn't had good quarterbacks throwing to him. Crumpler sucked once he moved to the Titans which could be because they don't have a quality QB or it could be simply that Alge is nothing but a fungus.

I hope Tony G takes Atlanta as far as he can. I don't wish him any ill will at all.

That being said, a 2nd rnd pick for a guy who is 33 and says he wants to play at MOST 2 more seasons.....is a bargain.

I didn't know he said only two more years. Then I guess its a fair deal for KC but its going to be weird seeing Tony in a different uniform.
