I got it for the PS3 yesterday, but didn't have time to play until today. Man it's AWESOME. I'm working on career now, but will be testing out the online soon.

I took some time off yesterday to play.........been awhile since I did that for any game. Im now the 2-time Heavyweight Champ and my next defense is against Brock (I hate that cock-sucker) Lesner. I played from noon to 4 yesterday. It's just got so MUCH.

 

Like in alot of games, when you train, its just to pad your players stats. In this game, you actually work on goals, and you prepare different for EACH fighter. Just going out there and trying to kick em in the head only gets you so far.

Ok so when I knock a guy down how do I get on top of him? Every time I do I move towards him he gets up too quick. Is there a way I get over there fast or something? I'm trying to learn the ground game stuff but I don't get it. I'm just relying on my boxing skills for now.

L3 (click down on the left thumbstick) runs. I usually run over, and auto-stand over the top of em and bash the ever living shit outta them.

The ground weighs heavy on the right analog stick. When you are on the ground make sure not to use your left analog stick. Your right combined with the L1&2 and the R1&2 is how you counter and move to better positions.

 

Read the book. It takes a lot of training for the ground in the career mode. If you just go online or just do a quick fight it's not so bad.

Dana just informed me that this would be my last year.....

 

They force you to retire! I am (currently) 32-7 and the 3-time HWC. I've defended it 7 times in a row now, and I guess it's time for me to make a new player. :'(

I just recently purchased it. When you create a guy what is the best setup to use? Is there any site that gives you hints on what and how to train the best?

 

There is so much on that game and I don't have the time to really play it all so give me some pointers please
