Wow I just spent the last 90 minutes roaming over the internet watching the fights. Bisping got knocked the fuck out by Dan Henderson. I'm glad he won by the way. Bisping talks too much crap. George St. Pierre won by decision over Thiago Alves although it wasn't much of a decision. Thiago was only good on his feet. St Pierre took him down a ton and owned the ground game. He almost choked him out but Alves fought well. Just needs to get that ground game going. The Lesnar Mir fight sucked. I was pulling for Lesnar but I wanted to see a fight. Lesnar completely dominated Mir and knocked him out in the 2nd round. Other than 3 good strikes at the beginning of the 2nd Mir didn't do shit. So to summarize...

Henderson over Bisping by knockout in the 3rd

St. Pierre over Alves by decision

Lesnar over Mir by TKO in 2nd round

Both champs retain their belts.

Bisping had nothing for Henderson. Bad game plan on that one.

GSP.....WOW!!!.... total fucking domination. He did it with a torn groin ( its torn, he even said in his post fight interview that he heard a weird crackle or pop and he knew it was screwed and finished the fight on adrenaline) for the last two rounds. He took the bigger man down 3 times with a torn ligament in his groin. I want him to put on some weight and fight Anderson Silva. That would be an incredible fight. And I agree Prane. If Alves finds a ground game...Watch out. Hes very young still (25), and if he can make that necessary change in his skillset, he will do very well. GSP is just way more well rounded than anyone in his weight class.

Lesnar is an insane animal. If that guy gets you on the ground and gets you under control, its over. He made Frank ( ground specialist, lol) Mir look pathetic with his ground attack ( or should I say ground defense). Brock controlled his arms and landed probably 12 good, hard haiilmarys to the melon. How the hell does a guy defend against a machine like that.

add on....there must have been a bloody war before the ppv bouts in the prelim fights as there was a HUGE amount of blood stain on the mat, lol. Im watching the recording all the way to see if they show the war after.

Damn, that sucks.....they didnt show any of the prelim fights. They only showed the Jon Fitch vs Paolo Thiago fight in which Fitch dominated. I want to see where all that blood came from, lol.

Hmm....just a thought...you think maybe now that there is a serious champ in the UFC Heavyweight div. that finally Dana White will convince Fedor Emelienko to come have some of Brock? What a fight that could be.

I agree that there was some sort of crazy hardcore deathmatch in the prelims.. I saw that too when I first put it on and it looked like WWII had just finished in that ring.

Brock made Mir his bitch as soon as they hit the ground. It was amazing because I've never seen that position before in the 1st round (Brock has his arm around the back of Mir's neck and pretty much had him helpless. His fucking arms are so huge that Mir couldn't budge from in between his bicep and forearm.)

GSP.. what else can we say about him? He's a monster. I know what to expect from this guy every time he goes out there. He's just a monster in his class. A match between him and Anderson Silva might go down as one of the greatest ever if he was able to put on some weight. He's so dominant that he might need to move up a class, just like Silva is doing now.

Even though Brock is the Heavyweight champ, I doubt that Dana White would go as far as challenging Fedor to fight Brock. Honestly, Brock isn't even in the league that Fedor is... no one is! Fedor might be the best in the world right now because he's pretty much mastered striking and his ground game. There would be too much on the line for Dana to go and put a challenge between Fedor and Brock right now. Maybe if Brock were to train more because he's only had 5 fights, but right now I don't think Dana would even risk putting Brock in the ring vs Fedor, no matter how much Brock would probably love that fight

Dana was already talking about Fedor in the post PPV interview, lol. Its also being talked about that Brock's next opponent wil be the winner of the Shane Carwin (11-0, 6'3" 262lbs) vs. Cain Velasquez ( 6-0, 6'1" 240lbs). Carwin may be better able to give Brock a better battle as he is a lot closer to his size. Mirko Cro Cop was also mentioned as a possibillity.

Yeah Churchy Dana is going to get Fedor. He said he will do whatever it takes because his contract with Affliction is done soon. He has one more fight and he is free. I hope Fedor comes and rocks Lesnar's world. I liked Lesnar a lot going into this last fight but his demeanor prior to and after the fight were so disrespectful I say fuck him.

I also would love to see the GSP V. Silva fight. I would give GSP at least a year to add on the weight and get used to fighting at it.

I understand exactly why Lesnar acted the way he did though. Not only was it a revenge fight for him, but he's sick and tired of all these people putting him down saying he's trash. Most people say he's a shitty fighter and that he'll never be a real MMA fighter. He was pumped as hell after winning that fight and I give him props for it.

At least Lesnar didn't give Mir the "Henderson"

Lesnar was way out of line even before the fight. He wouldn't touch gloves with Mir as a sign of mutual respect, after the fight he flipped off the crowd, he belittled Mir, he ripped on the sponsor and he also made his wife seem like his sex slave. Thats way Dana White went into the locker room after the fight and reemed him out in private.

A sport like UFC needs it's badass. Liddell is gone, so Brock is going to become the face of UFC and give that badass attitude that everyone likes. I'm not gonna complain one bit about anything Brock does.

Im with prane, lesnar didnt have to stoop such a low level to get his point across, he should of been the bigger man and let his fists speak for him, no one can deny he's a beast inside the ring, it shouldnt matter what the fuck anyone says about him, whatever they throw at him cant belittle the ass kickings he doles out in the ring. alas that isnt the case and he had to talk all that shit and flip off the fans and make himself look like the biggest dickhead possible. to me at least, that isnt what the face of the UFC should be like, theres plenty of other great fighters who are beastly in the ring and who are real humble and polite outside of it, thats the type of good rep the UFC should be getting, guys who can kick major ass but can relate to the fans. churchy makes a good point though, a lot of people like the whole badass attitude thing and over the top antics and it does sell very well, so in a way it may very well end up being great for the UFC. ;D

The UFC has needed a badass like Lesnar for years. Dana and crew are gonna rake in the dollars for years with this guy until they can find someone to stack up against his power. He made Mir look like a welterweight in that fight. He held him down for most of the fight and fed him lunchboxes from below. Maybe Fedor can give him a run but its gonna be hard to fight off Lesnars power.

I can't believe so many of you missed the point behind Lesnars actions. He WANTS to be hated. Heels always rake in more fight dollars because people want to see them get their ass kicked. He just went about it the wrong way, but he doesn't know any other way. IRL, he is a nice guy, and his only real "bad guy" experience comes from what he did on WWE. So of course that was way over the top for UFC.

I wouldn't have either. After all that nonsense Mir was talking about Brock being out of his league and in the wrong business. I'd have said fuck him too.

I guess I'm just a big fan of the quiet guys who show up and do their work and go home in a respectful manner.

Since I'm a boxing guy, I agree with you for the most part. However, having hated guys is a very good thing for the UFC. Heels put asses in seats. No matter what sport.

everyone talks about alves needing a ground game he has a purple belt in bjj which if you dont know is only one step away from a black belt. he has a ground game GSP is just that good on the ground. that is like saying b.j. penn needs to work on his ground game GSP did the same thing to him. alves can fight and knock a bunch of people out theres just no one at 170 who can handle GSPs wrestling and top game.

Fair enough bunni. Thats why GSP needs to put on 15-20 pounds and move up a class. I want to see him eventually fight Anderson.

well hes out til jan so if it happens it will be middle of next year.

Yah, I saw that. Tore something pretty bad in his groin in the third round and still drove for the takedowns, yikes. Gives him lots of time to gain some upper body weight (good weight) and save the legs for the most part til rehab is done. I give him a year or so and he's up to weight and giving the 185's fits.

if anybody watched any of the build up shows before ufc 100, you would have seen brock say countless times that he has no respect for anybody.

the million dollar question is, who is left in the UFC to beat him...answer is nobody.

I have a guy who I would love to see fight lesnar. Dude's name is Brett Rogers, he destroyed Andrei Arlovski back in june early in the first round of a strikeforce fight. the dude is huge and as far as size, weight and beastliness goes, I think he would actually put up a fight if he got in the ring with brock. He's still hella young too and if he stays healthy he will definitely have a long career as a fighter.

of course the only problem here is that rogers is signed on with strikeforce and like fedor, we would have to wait for their contracts to expire and hope that the UFC picks them up before they resign.
