[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Vince Young is the best all-around threat in the league. I guarantee that he wins MVP on Monday night against the Saints. Quote

HusH- Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Young is Far from the biggest threat in the League. Right now you could say, Oh, P. Manning, T. Brady, R. Moss, B. favre, T.Owens, There are bigger threats then him. ALOT of otheres. I will agree with you on beaten the Saints. But that would be it. I think Titans will bo alot of running tonight. And Titans will win. Quote
tekilla Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 NEGATIVE!!! Saints come alive tonight and win..... Sucks that I cant be at this game!!! Oh well... got plenty of games left. Quote

tekilla Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 YEAAA not a good game in anyway by the Saints but a pretty damn good game in my opinion of the Titans.... The Saints were just lucky the Titans hung around with them that long... Oh well Saints have a bye week next week so hopefully they can do some major work and be ready for the Panthers!!! Quote
Dure_Bala Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 sorry to all u saints fans because BREES threw three ints and fumble twice i think and the final score TITANS 31 to Saints 14 and yes nash i agree vince is the biggest threat in the league but no body know it yet ;D ;D ;D Quote
[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 i would just like to drop in and say i told you so Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Dudes have you not seen Sabastian Janakowski. I mean come on when I think excitment I think of him. Had to give the Raider Love. THey got their first season win last sunday. WOOT WOOT Quote
RawTaLenT-- Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 hmm is young a threat YES, but is he the "biggest threat in the league" NO im sorry.. i can see him being the player everyone thought vick was going to be, but notthis season.. and i know ima going to be bias on this(cause im a eagles fan) but i think brian westbrook is the biggest threat in the league.. he can dump 100 yards rushing on ya and 100 yards receiving on ya all in one game..He can dictate and own a game all by his self!!! And u have to remeber he just turn 25.. Quote
tekilla Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Sebastian is a beast... LOVED watching him at Florida State. Quote
HusH- Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 ___RawTaLenT___ ]hmm is young a threat YES, but is he the "biggest threat in the league" NO im sorry.. i can see him being the player everyone thought vick was going to be, but notthis season.. and i know ima going to be bias on this(cause im a eagles fan) but i think brian westbrook is the biggest threat in the league.. he can dump 100 yards rushing on ya and 100 yards receiving on ya all in one game..He can dictate and own a game all by his self!!! And u have to remeber he just turn 25.. there have been a week maybe 2 he has not reached these numbers. He did do it this week. One thing with him is keeping him healthy same with McNabb. You guys just need to figure how your going to play. One week the school for blind people can beat you then the next, your slaughtering teams. If I had to pick a big threat as of now. I am not a fan but, Randy Moss or Tom Brady. This team is top notch right now. And if they go to Dallas and Win. Then they just might be the AFC team this year. I would consider Young more of a threat then Westbrook. Quote
[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 you cant compare Vince with any other player in other positions. he is a quarterback. he is in the most important position to an offense. he does it better than anyone..besides manning and Brady. if you can get pressure on manning or Brady then you can compress their effectiveness. with Vince if you pressure him his effectiveness will increase. u cant say that about any other QB in the league. Quote
RawTaLenT-- Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Westbrook rankes first in the NFC and fifth in the NFL in rushing with 291 yards. That’s more than LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Johnson and Frank Gore and Joseph Addai and Shaun Alexander and perhaps any of the other running backs – except for Willie Parker – who were drafted ahead of Westbrook in your fantasy draft. But as we’ve learned by now, Westbrook can’t be judged by rushing yards alone. Westbrook also has 19 receptions for 223 yards, both tops in the league among running backs. Most important, Westbrook leads the league with 514 yards from scrimmage. His 7.3 yards per touch is first among running backs. Does anyone know who holds the record for most yards from scrimmage? **playing jeopardy music** Times up Marshall Faulk (((2,429 in 1999))) Do the math Granted, the season is only three games old, but Westbrook is on pace to finish with 2,741 yards from scrimmage. That would smash the record set by Marshall Faulk i would take Faulk over Westbrook any day, but to me Westrook might have his hands on the ball as much as a QB.. And no one was comparing a QB vs a runningback!! The ? was who is the biggest threat in the NFL and to me its westbrook.. Quote
[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 i agree to some extent. westbrook is a Rb. if his QB isn't having a great season he will not every reach those numbers. when marshall faulk was in his breakout years he always had a great QB. mcnabb is great but he is not healthy and its september. Vince will be the threat he is in January which is the best Quote
RawTaLenT-- Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 i understand man, BUTTTT whys everyone on Young's jock??? i mean he had a decent season coming in and pushing the titans close to a playoff game. He beat bush in the rose bowl.. WOW doesnt mean hes a threat in the NFL. The NFL is giving him a push and marketing his name up.. Until he does something to me hes just an average QB.. i mean how many times did Manning take the colts to the playoffs and how many times did they lose?? what was the first thing out of there mouths " he cant win the big one". How many times did he get MVP for the season>? Young hasnt done any of that and u trying to sell to ppl hes a threat in the NFL..Sorry man im not buying it lol!!!! Westbrook has rushed 100 yards first game, 96 second game where mcnabb stunk PERIOD!!! RIGHT now knowing the players 3 games in the season and u had first pick and u had to pick from young and westbrook who would u pick??? Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 OK lets talk about stats. You guys are arguing about who is "more exciting" or the biggest threat. Well a big threat does the job and wins the games. First off Tom Brady andChad Pennington have the highest QB rating in the league. Then you say, "but red Vince can run". Well he has 96 yds rushing this year and a rushing TD. But a good QB throws first and runs second . Example Micheal Vick might have won games by himself last year. But could never get the big games done. So far Young's best effort offensively was during a loss to INDY which was an average scoring game 22-20.    Tom Brady hasn't lost a game and very convincingly outscoring his opponents by an average of 26 points. Ya the defense has something to do with that. But you gotta get points on the board to win, and Tom Brady has done it very Easily. Then you say well you can't compare a seasoned veteran to a 2nd year QB. Well lets get Tony Romo in the picture. He also has a very nice QB rating. It is his 2nd starting season so I will put him in the same boat as Vince Young. Romo has won all three of his games very convincingly again against some respectable Defenses one being the Bears. So rawtalent then says well Brian Westbrook has to be the "threat" of the NFL. Well lets talk about my boy Lamont Jordan. Ya he is not the top rusher in the NFL( that is Willie Parker from Pittsburgh). But he is in second.  When you look at yards Brian Westbrook does have more receiving yards. But has only one game of going over 100 rushing yards which is in the only Eagles win of the season. While my boy Lamont Jordan has the same record he has exceeded 100 yards RUSHING in 2 out of his three games. And the leading rusher in the league has done it in all 3 of the Steelers wins. Ya not many receiving yards but neither the Raiders or the Steelers have a mobile quarterback and most plays for their team isn't short screen and short yardage designed plays. Which works out for Westbrook. So please you guys have some good points but the stats don't lie. Young might be the next Micheal Vick as far as excitement goes. But he could be the next hasbin that can't win crucial games during the season. And Westbrook has to have a good healthy Mcnabb to be successful. Or else everyone guns for him and he can't get shit for yards. Quite the contrary for these other guys. So shall we go round and around again? Quote
HusH- Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 I have to agree with red here. If I new it was going to become a stats thing. Then Westbrook would NOT be a threat. Like you and I both said. 1 game he does well, now your jumpin on his sack. I think by end of the season J. Addai Will bye pass Westbrook. But, as far as the QB side Brady and P. Manning are the two best in the league right now. PERIOD. Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Whats funny is I really don't like either of those guys. Ya they have great personalities and have god values they just aren't my favorite guys. The NFL was bred into Peyton since he was born and the same goes for Brady. Though Brady is what I call a Blue collar quarterback he still rubs me the wrong way. I think the only QB in the league that doesn't rub me the wrong way is Philip Rivers. Ands I am not really sure whay that is. I guess it is his pretty face. ;D Quote
[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 he is a game changer. he is a complete qb.COMPLETE can someone define complete Quote
STREETSWEEPR1 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 young is young and playing very well but lets see what happens when he plays a good team....biut he is the best player to come out of his draft year...that is for damn sure Quote
Red0ctobeR Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 O k I am gonna be a complete dick here. But a game changer wins games! A complete QB would be Tom Brady. He completes an insane amount of passes and is mobile enough to run for the first down. Of course he is a pass first QB not a maybe pass this time, or roll out this time, or maybe run up the middle. Brady also wins games. He would be a game changer for sure. Quote
[LA*] NASHVILLAN Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 Brady is a game changer. but once you Make him one dimensional he is not so effective. Vince wins on one dimension if he has to Quote
