Sounds like I may be playing Socom again. However if I have to pick something to bitch about it HAS to be the non-existent night vision fix. It needs a complete overhaul with visibility and the whole not being able to run with it on factor. Visibility is my biggest issue. I can't see shit on my 1600 dollar LCD and that's CRAZY!

Is anyone else having this issue? When I try to sign into PSN via XMB it gives me a message saying "PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance." My room mate had no trouble logging on to download the patch but can't play any online games. (SOCOM, BF43) Any ideas?

What the message said, PSN is under maintenance. I can't log on either.

I'm a madden diehard and I love it. However there are things that need fixed and videos on youtube showing it happening. The primary one are the new animations which are FANTASTIC but lets say your playing and the guy on offense goes deep. The reciever starts to lay out for the ball and you approach with your strong safety. The animation more often than not takes precendent over any sort of tackle you are trying to make...which essentially prevents you from breaking up the pass. It's pretty crazy if you watch the videos. I haven't really noticed thus far but it's definitely there...

Either way I love the game 9/10 BE A CHOMPIANS!

I haven't played Socom in months. Killzone 2 came out and that was all she wrote. Lately I've been playing Killzone 2, Battlefield 1943 and I recently downloaded Fat Princess. I tried reinstalling Socom because there were rumors of the patch finally dropping. I reinstalled and played Kasbah and Quarantine and Kasbah was a night map. I have a 1500 dollar TV and can't SEE SH.IT on the night maps with night vision on or off and the night vision is so bad it's almsot not worth turning on...and yea I guess I can jack up the brightness but really should I have to do that in order for a map to be functional? I deleted it immediately afterward to make room for something else. I'll prob install it again after I expand my harddrive but until then it's just not worth it.

Madden 2010 comes out this month as well which will pull me to a degree from everything I'm playing currently anyway. Socom is pretty much a joke in current form. Hopefully the DLC and the patch breath much needed life in to the title.

lol figured I'd get on the train eventually. I can't seem to get enough of my Socom bros to buy Killzone so unless I want to play Red Faction (I don't) I need to go back to Socom. I'll still play KZ more than anything else besides maybe Madden when it drops. It's nice that Slant my a$$ finally announced some DLC but unless 1.50 comes out and fixes a bunch of sh.it it's still like playing Socom with herpes.

Never. I can't stand confrontation right now. I actually deleted my game data from my PS3 so I had room for other sh.it. If 1.50 is ever released and it's worth a sh.it then I'll reinstall the demon. If I could flash back to the hay day of Enemy Lines I may let Socom grab my ass a few times.

It's been the complaint of many developers. Sony doesn't lend the support they require. And as much as I loath having to say this, Slant Sux Six is on the same page. Sony doesn't support them the way they need to produce games right the first time. They pushed them to release a game that needed another year of development and it's given Slant Six a bad name.

 

But on the other hand, there's still enough out there that make it enjoyable to own a PS3. Tiger '10 is great even if EA can't keep the mics working. Sony's E3 presentation was awesome. Even though most of the best stuff looks like it's being released for the PSP. Sony is putting a LOT of faith in the new PSP.

Do not buy Prototype unless you already have inFAMOUS and are looking for something similar. They really dropped the ball with Prototype in my opinion. inFAMOUS on the other hand is one of the better games on the PS3.

Long time coming. The problem as already noted is the game is totally worthless currently. A month or so ago I actually completely deleted it from my PS3. A sad day but I needed the space and the game is garbage. 1.50 MAY get me to come out of retirement but even then that being released is like waiting for Gran Turismo 10. I used to defend the game. It just took me a little while to see things with the blinders off.

DOes anyone play k2 anymore? What a fail.

I play it everyday. it's pretty much the only game I play and a sh.it load of people play it on a day to day basis. It never took off with this community. As far as the new maps are concerned I love em. Beach Head is currently my favorite but it's best suited for 8v8 rather than 16v16. I haven't played much of Southern Hills which is the map with the nuke. GG deserves developer of the year with the amount of support they provide KZ and it's community. Best game on the PS3 in my opinion but EVERYONE wants every FPS to play exactly like COD so there is a substantial pi$$ and moan contingent.

I'm so tired of Jessica Simpson. Her music is absolutely horrible, she's a flake and she's the typical American girl. We need a push so she doesn't get the nod on the new challenge. I personally can't stand her. She's definitely hot and I guess that's all that matters. I'd rate her behind Rhianna for sure and probably christina.

I want my old GT2 where I could race a mitsubishi 3000gt against a Mercedes against a Civic. I don't want the extra fluff stuff. Nascar already does their own game. F1 I'm sure has a game and seriously who cares about Rally? I wish they wouldn't have jerked us around for the last half decade. 2 sequels to Forza will come out before the first GT on ps3. If anyone says anything about GT Prologue I will hit you in the throat.

Also GT is labeled as the complete driving experience so why not include Nascar and F1? I personally love the fact that they have included Nascar and F1 and don't understand why anyone would see this as a negative. I'd also rather the game take longer and come out great than get released now or in the very near future and be incomplete. I've had enough of that B.S with confrontation.

The problem with having it all in one usually means lack of attention to detail, but we could be wrong.

Obviously the graphics are still great, but no matter how soon they release it, they have still taken the Zipper/map pack approach.. this has been way too long of a wait. Everyone would rather wait for a complete game, but how long do you wait.!?

Forza will have released 2 AMAZING simulators before GT5 even comes out.

 

I am a fan of racing games, & GT was the king of the hill, but this length of waiting has definitely taken them off the top of the hill. And by the looks of Forza 3 it wont be easy to get back on top.

You realize you're talking about GT right? The franchise that prides itself on attention to detail? I'd also say you can be rest assured that when GT5 is released in will be the best of the best BECAUSE of the wait.

Rally is cool and Nascar games can be fun especially if they have a online component. GT5 will also have F1.

I at first didn't realize what you were saying and yes you are 100% incorrect. There is still a lot of red lights occurring even with the most recent builds. The PS3's failure rate I believe is under 5% and the 360 is still at the very least over 25%.

I'm exited about Natal. I've always wanted to play a game of madden and it be more like me playing the game then me controlling a guy. I have always wanted to play sports games like that.

See as a diehard madden gamer that doesn't interest me at all BUT different strokes for different folks. I don't play video games to jump around the living room. It's a novelty and nothing more IMO. You aren't going to get the kind of precision controls with Natal as you would with a controller and everything needs to be dumbed down in order for it to work on the motion control level.

Yesterday I only caught bits of the Natal tech but I'm watching the re-air right now. Why is everyone so exited about this? Are you guys really going to be jumping around in the living room? or turning your imaginary steering wheel? While the tech is definitely cool for a certain population. I am in no way shape or form interested in hopping around my living room on a fake skateboard. The media end is cool though....

either way I was honestly more interested in the 2nd half of the PS3 conference than I was what 360 is bringing to the table and this dude running the show is such tool box, not that tretton is any less nerdy.

IF it works.. it may take some time before they actually get it right, as we have seen things in the past do not pan out right away. lol

But 360 does have a good track record for releasing things that work. So yes in time this should definitely make a huge difference in gaming and other facets of our lives.!! (imagine changing the channel on the TV, or turning on off lights, TV, console, oven. anything really. lol)
