[Clan Tag] Clan Name

  1. Ravenfall is a military-shooter gaming clan with a focus on SOCOM 4 and Modern Warfare 3 on the PS3. We are a 21yoa and over clan. We Win with Honor, and Lose with Dignity. Ravenfall then, naturally, embodies every word of that sentence in its clan functions, personnel, and leadership. This is no smokescreen. This is simply what Ravenfall is. Go to the Ravenfall forums and register. Make sure you put IRISH BULL in the referral box so we know it's not spam.

  3. I am seeing most of the clan thread's dead i guess i will just settle for normal ppl to play Socom with. I am not pro shaking the dust off since combined aussult , so any tips would be great. ps3 gamer tag Twizztid Thanks
  4. Hello All, It has been awhile since I have been here , used to be a part of the Socom gaming side, and am getting bk into it. I just picked the game up and am going to see what I can do. Any advice would be great. Twizztid
  5. http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/9944.html We always like to see good developers branching out...even when we really have no idea what they're doing. Zipper Interactive is best known for their SOCOM games and the massive online multiplayer shooter, MAG. Well, a certain game blog has located the CV of Zipper's David Chambers, and there are some points of interest. Most importantly, it appears the developer is working on two currently unannounced games for the PlayStation platform. One is another third-person shooter (perhaps along the same lines as SOCOM) but the other is a role-playing game. ...wow, really? What are we thinking? Is Zipper the kind of developer you'd trust with an RPG? And what should we expect? An MMO like MAG or something more traditional? Personally, I'm a fan of diversity in a studio. It's great when they've got a firm grasp of one particular genre or style, but if you've got the requisite talent, why not try something new? There's no doubt that people will be skeptical, just because you've never succeeded outside your comfort zone. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
  6. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/10/03/introducing-only-on-psn-for-new-exclusive-games-throughout-october/ Now granted, it doesn't mention SOCOM in this blog, but the fact they are releasing PS2 games is definitely promising. They say they are "offering a selection of rare classic games." Meaning PS2 games. Comment 195. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/10/03/introducing-only-on-psn-for-new-exclusive-games-throughout-october/comment-page-4/#comment-650488 Guys, im pretty sure its a lot more than just allowing certain PS2 games to work on the PS3 now. I am quite positive they are taking the PS2 copy and then modifying it to work on the PS3 – its not just ripping it to an ISO and releasing it onto PSN. They are converting it for use on PS3, its more than just emulating it. Response: this. Also; it will be relatively in the Publisher’s court to clear content. We can’t do anything without the original publisher’s consent to release. So what is more classic on the PS2 than SOCOM? Keep your fingers crossed you old-schoolers! And get on Zipper to give Sony the go-ahead.
  7. Ok, gunna make this short and easy. Some of you might remember me from Socom II as "A1C AKERS" among other tags, I am also known as RazorJack911. I was in one of the first clans to start UF, and its been awhile since I've been able to be steadily online and gaming but I am back. I've had a PS3 for a few months now trying to get the cobwebs shaken out, I think I'm getting there. So I thought it was about time I threw my name out there. Simply put I have fun but I play to win, if you want more info you can reach me at my PSN RazorJack911.
  8. http://community.us.playstation.com/message/36330958#36330958 Will Demolition be playable on all maps? If so will Demolition be playable on the old maps for people who haven't bought the DLC? Demolition will work on the four new maps it's bundled with and six of the existing ones (so 10 total). You need the DLC to play the mode, so no, it won't work for you on old maps if you don't have the DLC. Will Demolition have a flashing icon? If so will the other team see the bombs location when I have it? HTK played it last and doesn't remember seeing it blink in the latest build. We're going to try to double-check on this, but some of the appropriate folks are out of the office at the moment... Does the Bomb in Demolition reset it's self when dropped and not picked up? The last that we played was that it resets after 30 seconds of no one picking it up. Our understanding was that someone could die with it and it could fall someplace where you couldn't reach it, so it's a "preventative" design choice to make sure that it doesn't get stuck somewhere bad. With no jump climb will we have access to the areas we needed to use jump climb to reach in past Socoms? If by "needed" you mean areas that were originally designed to be normally accessed and not some exploited area, then yes, all should be fine. Note that I don't know of anything in particular that you can't reach that you could before, I'm just answering this somewhat vaguely in case there is. Will there be queries with old maps and DLC maps in them? See the answer to the 3 Pro maps question below. Will Abandon be added to the queries with the DLC maps? See the answer to the 3 Pro maps question below. Will Abandon be added to the non DLC queries? See the answer to the 3 Pro maps question below. Will Demolition be playable on Abandon? No. Will the 3 pro maps be added to small map queries? TBD. We can't add them to the default medley because some people don't have the content, but we're looking into creating a queue that encompasses all the available content for the people who have everything. Again though, that's TBD. Will other game modes be playable on DLC maps? Yes, with (I believe) only one exception on one of the maps. Will respawn and classic be playable on DLC maps? Yep. Do the new skins have to be unlocked? Not in the internal builds HTK and I have played, no. How much will the DLC cost? More people will buy it if it's cheap and Zipper will make more money off it. Pricing details will come with the full, official announcement. Will there be anther DLC after this one? There will be more than one DLC release. You'll get those details soon.
  9. Hello All! After settling into our roles earlier this year as the new leadership of Ravenfall, we have re-evaluated our structure, participation, and addressed many issues that we felt have helped to improve RVN from within. We have now come to the point we can make this announcement public. In an effort to remain competitive and active in the gaming community. Ravenfall is excited to announce that it will be joining the Call of Duty Community by adding Modern Warefare 3, to its list of supported games beginning 11/8/2011 and becoming a "Hybrid clan" supporting as always: Socom 4. It is with great pleasure to reaffirm that Ravenfall will continue to support and participate exclusively in Urgent Fury sponsored tournaments with Socom 4 and Modern Warefare 3. We look forward to meeting you on the battlefield! -Paramedic
  10. Our team is SEAL Team 5 Elite Operations. We have been around for 3 years but have stayed hidden when it comes to Online tournaments. Its time for us to come out of hiding and fight. One of our games we are currently playing is Socom Confrontation. We look forward to meeting yall on the battlefield. Good Luck all.
  11. last I heard this patch will come out sometime in September. Haven't seen anything posted up here on it yet, so here it is... ---------- 1.05 Update This patch is still a work in progress, so not everything that will hopefully make it in when it's done is included here (and I'm not going to call out each of the minute bug fixes), but we wanted to give everyone some idea of the bigger things to expect from 1.05: Party leader may now optionally allow other party members to invite other players into the party Classic mode mic system changed to be open Knife swipe exploit fixed (the knife no longer silences footsteps) SMG accuracy reduced over distance - tuned for up-close battles rather than long-distance kills Fixed Classic Bomb Squad double round win bug Fixed grenade launcher bug where firing over cover or at long distances could kill you Firing mechanic changes introduced in 1.04 have been rolled back (tapping to fire is now more accurate again) Several level collision issues fixed Games queues will be able to be adjusted much more easily and quickly (i.e. we'll be refreshing the queues right after launch) There have also been lots of bug fixes to the party system, clan system, UI in general and between-round transitions (i.e. less crashes). Also, a big item that's currently under investigation is the number of headshots in the game. We all know that there are too many, so the team is looking at how we might be able to counter that for the patch. It's not an issue with the size of the hitbox (that's been checked over and over), so it's not a simple fix, and any changes to the damage system in general could have adverse effects on other parts of the game if not handled carefully. So, as mentioned, that's a big TBD on if and how it would be changed, but it's certainly being looked at and will be dealt with if possible. The ETA on the patch is currently mid- to late-September. That's about all the info that we have for the moment. We'll do our best to answer any questions that we can, though what you see just about covers what we know over here. -------------------- Chris Roper Zipper Interactive --------------------
  12. via http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011/08/26/counter-strike-go-gets-mouse-move-and-keyboard-support/ Earlier this month, Valve announced they would release an updated version of Counter-Strike, one of the most legendary and influential video games of all time, on the PS3. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will feature new maps, new game modes, and leaderboards. In addition to these features, the PlayStation version of Counter-Strike: GO will be an old-school gaming staple. Kotaku reports that the PlayStation 3 version of Valve’s Counter-Strike: GO will receive Move support and mouse and keyboard support. It was also previously mentioned that the PS3 version would support cross-platform play with the PC and Mac versions. The Xbox 360 version will not receive mouse and keyboard support. Gabe Newell explained why this feature would be supported on the PS3 only, The main thing is having Microsoft get comfortable with it and let us do it. The PS3, obviously we made a lot more progress with that…so we’d really like to be able to do that for Xbox customers as well. Since PS3 gamers will be competing against seasoned PC gamers, mouse and keyboard support is sure to come in handy. The Move support is also a great addition for those who liked using the Move for Socom 4. Keep an eye out for a beta hitting PSN sometime later this year.
  13. http://www.specopstheline.com/multiplayerbeta/ This game, IMO, has the possibility to be a SOCOM contender. But alas, I do not own a XBOX. I'm encouraging you XBOX'ers to sign up for this beta so that you can give us an early MP review. Thanks!
  14. Okay so with Socom 4 not living up to most the members of IX's expectations we have begun to get more involved in Battlefield. With the new installment only a few months away I was wondering how many members of the UF community play Battlefield? We are looking for a few teams to hook up with and blow some shit up! If your a Battlefield clan looking for a good team to hangout with send me a friend invite on the PSN Savageruin. Or just drop by our site some time. http://www.circleix.com Later Savage
  15. I'm frustrated.... I like the game a lot as far as game play. The shooting, the weapons, grenade throwing, all cool with me. I even like most of the maps. All are challenging in there own way. The modes most of them I like. But I suck at the bomb squad one. Graphics- are really good. I bought BFBC2 a few weeks ago and thought something was wrong with my TV. Socom was all clear and colorful with lots of detail. Respawn side- This is where it start to piss me off. It's not a good respawn game compared to the other real respawn games out there. COD, BFBC. The goal in the respawn is spawn camp. There's players or kids that's all they can do. So I only can handle so much then I'm out so I try Classic. Classic- Is fun but the main problem with classic to me is having to play with randoms. Sometime I get into games with cool people. But most of the time it's people who had just come off of playing respawn so they try and play it like respawn. Every mode. Even the bomb squad one the guy in the suit he'll just Rambo it. Most do that.... Then other times I'll get into a game people are teamkilling or if you have a shitty round or your the last one. The Assholes start voting you. I remember that from the other Socoms. That's why I got into clans. Now the clan stuff... The clan war stuff work great... For at least getting all our guys to get together to play. But when you only have a few on the stupid Party System.... I think what it does is when your in a Party and go looking for a game to play it wants to put you up against other parties. Not random people. Because when I play alone I have no problem finding games. Only in the party system. The problems are frustrating and make me not want to play.... ------- Then whats going to happen in a few months. We have 2 maybe 3 games coming out that seem like there going to put the choke hold on the players. The biggest problems I have above seem to be solved with at least 2 of the games. Except the respawn crap. ----- Anyways I'm hot so I might be a little grouchy.
  16. Since everyone that bought SOCOM 4 was issued a BETA code download it and join us tonight after the Endurance wars. UF will host a private room so please join off of join a friend. PSN: UF_STAFF_J30

  22. Go download that Homefront demo. What a dumb game that is. I thought the graphics was supposed to be better then they were. It got deleted after 10 minutes.
