Hopefully you caught the news yesterday that <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/resistance-3/">Resistance 3</a> has gone gold! We also debuted our new story-centric <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/08/04/resistance-3-is-gold-bonus-content-on-the-disc/">campaign trailer</a>. You may also know that the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/07/28/resistance-3-public-beta-dates-early-access-starts-august-4th/">Resistance 3 Multiplayer Beta</a> early access has begun for owners of specially marked copies of SOCOM 4. We’re still very much in beta mode, with regards to fixes (especially for matchmaking to address the freezes and disconnects), so please keep <a href="http://www.insomniacgames.com/community/index.php?board=48.0">reporting</a> what you see. I’m here today to bring the news that <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/resistance-3/">Resistance 3</a> has gone gold, and has been delivered to manufacturing for its September 6th release date. Everyone here at <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/insomniac-games/">Insomniac</a> is excited for you to get your hands on the game we’ve been working so hard on for the last three years. Even now, our work isn’t complete, as we are actively working on the Online Beta, and will be bringing a Day 1 Patch to the game to bring updates and tweaks to the final product. The public beta begins today for folks who have codes from <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/socom-4/">SOCOM 4</a>, so we’re looking forward to fragging you online. EA sure wants you to, as its “Limited Edition” of Need for Speed: The Run incentivizes just such a purchase with the bonus inclusion of three fancy sports cars — for the same price as the regular ol’ “normal” edition, no less. Along with special access to a Porsche 911 Carrera S, a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and a Lamborghini Aventador, picking up the “Limited Edition” nets you “five exclusive Challenges” to slay with your high-powered sports car of choice. The only version of the Limited Edition that we can spot thus far is on EA’s own Origin PC download store for the totally-normal-edition price of $49.99, so it stands to reason that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are similarly priced ($59.99 on consoles). Just to be sure, we’ve asked EA for a better idea of what to expect, price-wise, come November. Update: EA clarified that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will cost the standard $59.99, and the “Limited Edition” will operate similarly to the “Limited Edition” version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Story by Stephany Nunneley @ VG247.com. Rockstar has announced the final DLC release for Red Dead Redemption will be the Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack. The free pack will feature new fan-favorite multiplayer characters as well as new multiplayer locations for players of Deathmatch, Grab the Bag, Gang matches and others. A title update in the lead up to the new free DLC pack will also be released to address issues with the original Undead Overrun multiplayer mode settings. Just saw it with the kids...Pretty good. maybe a bit to much talking and plot for the kids but,when the action kicked in it did not disappoint. **bonus clip at the end** if you can wait.

Found this at http://www.socom.com As a nice bonus, more vouchers should be showing up in GameStop's soon. The demand was so high that we ran out, so we're going to try and push more out to retail. Keep an eye on your local GameStop for them!
