All week long, I've had this strange tension in my shoulders. I was hunched up, and was even having trouble sleeping. As Comic-Con came to a close, I couldn't figured out the source of my weird aches, until I finally realized: it's EVO time. <a href="http://evo2k.com/">EVO</a> is the World Series of Fighting Games, and it's this weekend, July 29th through the 31st, in Las Vegas. EVO has been running for over a decade, and has grown from a small gathering of friends into the biggest fighting-game event on the planet, with thousands of competitors and fans attending from dozens of countries (46 countries are represented this year!). The best of the best come not only to win prizes, but to claim a place in fighting game history, to earn a name, and to test themselves at the highest levels. More...

We’re back from <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/comic-con11/">Comic-Con International 2011</a> and we’ve barely survived this year’s awesome, and awesomely busy, show! One of the our personal highlights from Comic-Con was being able to be in front of over 400 fans and talk about <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/">Uncharted 3</a> during our panel on Friday, July 22. Moderated by USA Today’s Mike Snider, the panel was called “Developing Interactive Entertainment: The Performance Capture Techniques of the UNCHARTED Franchise and Today’s Film Industry†and it gave Amy Hennig, Taylor Kurosaki, Josh Scherr, Nolan North, Emily Rose and Richard McGonagle the perfect setting to discuss everything that goes into creating the industry-leading cinematics in the Uncharted series. The panel also gave our fans their first look at a brand new cinematic scene, and some behind the scenes footage of the cast, that we prepared especially for Comic-Con. More...

Hey, PlayStation Bloggers! I wanted to share this highlight reel from the panel Jenova Chen and myself were on last week at <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/comic-con11/">Comic-Con</a> (it was the first time attending for both of us!). We had a great time interacting with new and old fans, as we also had a playable demo in the main exhibit hall at the Sony PlayStation booth. We gave away a bunch of <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/journey/">Journey</a> t-shirts as well, so if you are one of those people, please show us a photo of you wearing it on our Facebook page - we love when our players represent! And if you weren't able to get a shirt at the show, follow us on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/thatgamecompany">Facebook</a> for more chances to win one. More...

Story by Jordan Mallory @ Joystiq.com. Fresh news out of Comic-Con for zombie hunters and presidential-daughter-babysitting-simulator enthusiasts alike: the previously announced HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X will be shambling and moaning onto US shores this September. RE4HD lands on September 20, with Code Veronica X HD‘s charmingly incomprehensible plot following a week later on September 27. That’s a few weeks after the far superior Japanese launch, not that we’re bitter or anything. Both titles will be available at your local brick & mortar, through the PlayStation Network and as Xbox Live Games On Demand titles. Score: 0 (0 votes cast) More...

PROVO, Utah -- Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems, has died after suffering an intercranial hemorrhage. He was 42. Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said life support was terminated and Coleman died at 12:05 p.m. MDT. Coleman, with his sparkling eyes and perfect comic timing, became a star after "Diff'rent Strokes" debuted in 1978. He played the younger brother in a pair of African-American siblings adopted by a wealthy white man.
