I honestly do not care what the community members think of me.as you are well aware no one would be very happy if they are waiting to be paid. I apologize if I offended anyone in anyway. When It comes to follow through, I have been quite up front with the situation at hand... and many of the community members here have not been too keen on your posting tone. Do I understand the frustration, of course I do... do you have $15k sitting around? Nor do I, we were depending on someone to follow through and did not... So to rectify this, I have taken a full time job. Is everyone going to get paid all at once, no... I will be paying teams as I get paid while still making sure that I can cover my personal bills and eat a little.

 

This is coming direct from my pocket to the teams, and I am going to be working in the oil field to get it paid. Luckily I had an opportunity finally come through to pay this. Most other sites would have just told everyone ohh well, even EGL waiting almost three years and ran 4 more events before paying teams which is total BS.

 

But if you go back and read how you posted you can understand what you call be diligent has come of as abrasive in nature. Simple as that. Once I have an idea on when a team is going to get paid I will post a schedule... we have spent the last few months just trying to undo the damage done by members of the first place team with our accounts being hacked, the site being attacked, etc.

 

I am the go to person for this, so no I am not going to pass it on to someone else, but keep in mind if I am slow to respond I am not ignoring anyone, I am either working traveling or may not have an answer to the question yet.

Add me to whatever list you want. I've been very civil in this matter and understanding when you first mentioned your lack of work. It's not even my money, it's my brothers who used his birthday money to participate in this event only to come in a place to get paid and all this crap happened. I'm being diligent and making sure something will be done. So if you want to put me in the bucket with all the children that have given you a hard time so be it. But understand you have never followed thru on your responses, and have continued to push it out. So if by me asking for a date and order of payout is too much. I apologize. If your the one and only running this page maybe you should hand it over to someone that has the time and ability to keep it up to date.

I have to apologize I did not see your question about order and dates, we are going to start sending payments out to teams in August/September... no exact date yet as it will depend on my availability to get money orders sent out while on Rigs.

 

My focus is getting started at my new job, so I do not visit the site much and did not get an email notification about your replies. But I will add you to the list of those that just don't understand that we got screwed over and that all of this is going to come out of my pocket. Not to mention I have been unemployed going on 3 years now so getting a new job is going to take a bit for me to get payments going out.

shane, any idea on the order of payout and date of when this may begin?

If often means this past weekend then yah I guess there is a lot more I could do... right now we are in the production process for the video for the fundraiser, but after last nights events brought on by members of Unite we are on hold while the authorities complete their process with the hacking of our web server and my paypal account.

This is becoming very frustrating. Your original note you said you had an idea but wouldn't be handled until March. We are not 3months away from March. What's your plan??

i understand after the events that occurred why it would be delayed. These kids really don't understand what they say/do irrationally do not help speed up the process but just delay it. I'm sure you understand their frustration and why they are acting out. Hopefully one groups stupidity doesn't delay the process for the innocent bystanders.

The real hold up is me right now, I have been focused on my day job trying to increase my income since I have been Jobless for a couple of years now.

 

Another hurdle is finding the right platform... It looks like we are going to have to go with indiego but all of them have such high service fees that we have to raise an extra couple of grand to cover fees.

 

One of the other ideas we are thinking is an online tourney for Ghosts charity event where teams will donate to play in the event. These are some of the ideas being discussed with staff right now.

Sorry I did not seem to receive an email notification on your reply... First there is not much to update at this time, we continue to look at solutions and we are in the works of creating a fundraiser as well. I am sure most do not realize this site is run fully by volunteers and our small ad revenue goes to pay for our web server.

 

As for promoting everything else, with the exception of the Dust 514 Online Tournament that completed in the last couple of weeks, we have not had any events going on. This is generally the slow period while we wait for the next shooter to come out.

 

As for not caring, that is the farthest from the truth, you can ask anyone who talks with us on a regular basis that we are still sickened by this situation that we have been put in. All we can do is continue to work towards a solution.

 

 

 

 

 

We can see many ways for this to get resolved, but its all long term, and quite frankly we would rather get this fixed sooner than later. But the continued negative posts do not help.

 

As for the note about AC, he has not been involved with the site for well over 2 years so not sure why you are just bringing that up.

Shane, you mentioned a fundraiser. How is that going any progress has been 3weeks now.

I honestly do not see the need to keep adding remarks that aren't going to help any situation that they are trying to do. Armond (AC) hasnt even been around here for a very long time. But that is not important.. What is important is finding a solution to the issue at hand. It was unfortunate that this had to happen. In no way could anyone have asked for that to happen. Things do Happen. Things will get resolved.. I understand people do want to have updates.. Shane can post everyday the same exact post. How would that help.. He did state when he does have some more information he will inform the participants..

I agree posting the same information daily would be useless, but at the same time some sort of update would be appreciated. If I had not asked I would have not known they were planning a fundraiser now would I? It's a difficult situation all around and needs to be handled diligently.

Yes we have discussed several plans but the solutions are not really fast enough, most are near March or later. So we are continuing to find one sooner. And no one will be dropped by the wayside, we have each individual in a spreadsheet with exactly what is owed to them.

Any update on what progress has been made? It would be nice if there was like a bi-weekly update at least so those effected know this is continually being worked on instead of promoting everything else all the time. It comes of as you could care less about it.

I apologize if you feel as though I'm attacking you, however my relative is a victim here being out $300+ or whatever it was he won on top of entry fees. I'm just trying to make sure this does not get dropped by the waste-side. Knowing you work along with those sponsors even though they are not the prize sponsors I'm surprised they are not will to fork out the money as it will be a write off at the end of the year anyways, specially with them being such large corporations. Have you thought of asking them for a one time help out to correct this, since they are standing by you as you stated?

I would hope your working on this every day until it is corrected. That does not answer my question as too what you are doing to handle it though. Not only are the winners of this event out there $80 fee to play but have lost their winnings as well. Typically when you get sponsors you have the donations/money prior to the event so instances like this do not happen. I still can't fathom how both sponsors first and second decided to back out. Not only does this leave a bad rep for you but also your partners like Sony.

What steps are being taken to resolve this?

I would like an update on this. Criminal charges can be filed if something is not done or followed up on.
