  1. No Harvester was Socom 3. It had the windmill, the island house, the house down hill from the windmill, the hill grassy hil...it had a small pond behind the windmill that u had to pseudo claim to get to the back of the windmill. It had the covered bridge leading from the open field with the house beside the old tree. Then there was the blown up house on the other side of the covered bridge. Another abandoned blown out house sat on the road that led to the top side of the what was the Harvester small map. It is scary that i can close my eyes and still remember the layout of some of those maps.

Anyhow, i am glad the gameplay for GR hasnt changed much from the original GRAW and GRAW2. The cover system with the swap is just as solid as the first 2 games. And so is the arc, i am glad they didnt take it out. I am sure they will have more options to change your button configurations, i believe u could in the others. I dont mind the X because i can quickly tap it when u get close to an obsticle and your soldier leaps over it without stopping. If you dont tap the X button right when u run into a something u can leap over, he just will go into cover or hit the object.

I like how you cannot sprint and shoot. And i like the heaviness that you feel in controlling your character. This has truly taken the 1st two GRAW games and elevated them.

According to the directions, you can make a party private and no one can join your party, which is good for private match play.

  2. Thank you for your interest and concern in the well being of Urgent Fury.

Instead of posts such as these, anyone could put their typing talents to better use by pointing teams to UF when applications WERE open for the most recent MW3 tournament.

Unfortunately, it is after such an announcement that we get reactive feedback instead of proactive support when we have tournaments available.

@last - don't bother posting if you are here to attempt to start drama. If you are truly concerned in the efforts of UF, then this is not the way to accomplish it. If you are just here to take your stab at UF, let this serve as a warning. You are welcome to stay in our home so long as you show respect.

  3. Welcome. You are free to setup teams to compete within the UFGL Ladders / Leagues and Tournaments, unless otherwise specified in the rules of a specific event.

Your clan is also not locked into having only One Team to compete in a ladder or league again, unless otherwise specified in the rules. For instance in out 4v4 squad type setups, if you have a large clan, you may have more people that want to war in matches, so you can assign you own squad leaders for instance to create their own teams for these recurring events. And each of the teams would have their own team and separate roster.

There will be some events that will be Clan Only and some that will require larger numbers in order to continually field enough team members to compete regularly....meaning Large Team battles. But for the Small Squad Based style battles, most will be able to have individual teams in order to give your Clan Members more in game war time opportunities.

As stated, the events that have special requirements will be specified in the setup when released.

Let us know if you have further questions.

  4. If they would just do like the old Socom and ONLY give you experience rank that changed your insignia. Not make you have to unlock items that give different advantages. It does get frustrating because in rewarding some, you alienate others.

Or just give cosmetic unlocks, this way people can compete with all the gear upfront. And the only difference is how you play.

I miss the good old days when people were just your ordinary Rank Up whores.

  5. @ruthless - the new games are starting to put back the abilities that make team and competitive matches possible for how we like to setup our events. You are correct to a degree, but now we have more options and therefore more chances to offer Old UF and New UF gamers competitive events. This means we can now have events we can more heavily promote and bring in new like minded mature gamers to add to the great group of gamers and clans that are already here.

  6. Hey Coffin...I laughed so hard last night trying to get to you sniping from the top of the hill...first time didn't work out well with the jeep climbing the hill...then the next time on foot, I was able to get you, only to receive a knife to the chest from one of your teammates when I turned around to run.

    Good games!

  7. I am a huge fan of the GRAW series, but the old games didn't make for good Private Match Play for competition. I hope that this game provides a better option for private competitive matches than the first 2. Then we can tap into the large community of GRAW gamers to make sure UF can get a large enough field of competitors to run some leagues.

We are a gaming site, don't get so hung up that we are just looking for one game to run on anymore. Once more games become more friendly to private warring, you will see them added in different events.

  8. Has anyone watched this series that started on NBC?

It has actually been pretty good so far. If you like syfy and suspense and supernatural stuff this has a little of it all.

  9. I like the game. If any have ever played the Fable series on XBOX, you will see similar gameplay. Of course this is much deeper than Fable. I have always been a big fan of RPGs and this game has a great feel and is alot of fun. The story behind all the good RPGs keeps pulling you in to play to get to the next "page."

  10. Yeah...but did yer momma tell you that each pump took 47 minutes & 32 seconds? Nice and slow...so she can taste it in her throat.

This reminds me of the Saturday Night Live musical Mother's Day skit with Justin Timberlake and Andy Samburg.

  11. Welcome to Urgent Fury Doc. That's one hell of an intro.

Disclaimer: As many that see this and may not be aware, this is Doc, one of the original and well known contestants from Season 1 of Playstation Network's "The Tester" series. He has become a good friend of UF's own Commander Fury and is a supporter of Urgent Fury.

  12. I just got an email as a Playstation Plus subscriber with a download code to giveaway, sponsored by Subway. This one may already have a home.

However, for those of you that see this and would like to offer it to a fellow UF member that doesn't have Playstation Plus, please send the requester a PM with the code or send them a message through PSN with the code.

It would be best for those needing a code to request one here, than to have everyone with a code available to say they have one available.

If you receive a code, please acknowledge and thank them for it.

Don't be greedy, if you already have received a code, please don't take more.

  13. I only have PS3 games on my original PS3. I swapped out my original 60 gig hard drive with a 120 gig hard drive I had scavenged from a laptop because I ran out of space.

I now only have 2 gig left from the 120 gig hard drive I swapped out a year ago. I have experienced no problems in online or game load times.
