SgtJoeFriday Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) Whereas the numbers of clans that have signed up for this tournament is not what you deserve to make the kind of tournament that Urgent Fury endeavors to provide; We, Urgent Fury, will be making the following changes to the requirements of the team make ups to participate in Blowout: Since Blow Out is still what Urgent Fury calls an evaluation tournament, any clan looking to join the Urgent Fury community will need to apply for Blow Out and participate as one clan. To increase the numbers of teams participating in Blow Out, Urgent Fury will be allowing members of clans in good standing, already in the Urgent Fury community, to form teams of their own. We have noticed there are a lot of players still on Confrontation whose clans have moved on to play other games. This will be an opportunity for those who still wish to compete in what will be Urgent Fury's LAST tournament on SOCOM Confrontation, to form teams and participate in the tournament. Since this is an 8 v 8 tournament teams will be allowed to submit a roster of 10 players. Players will still only be allowed on one roster per Urgent Fury rules, so if a player defects from a clan participating in Blowout they will only be able to play for one team throughout the entirety of Blowout. You cannot lose with one team and then switch to another, so choose wisely. There will be a team formation section in this forum soon. We have a very short period of time to make this happen. Come help take Confrontation out for one last spin before we use her as a beer coaster. Edited February 23, 2011 by SgtJoeFriday Quote
HotWire_ Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 "Since this is an 8 v 8 tournament teams will be allowed to submit a roster of 10 players." Just as a clarification, is this just for teams that have members from different clans? Or is this apply to everyone now? For example, if a clan, with lets say 24 members, wants to join, they would have to submit 2 separate rosters now as 2 different teams? Quote
SgtJoeFriday Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 This is for the "made up" teams. So in essence if you had your clan enter with 14, then the remaining 10 could form another team. The idea is most of the people on Confrontation are on Confrontation all the time anyway. So it's basically a team of 8 with a couple alternates in case someone cannot make a war. 10 was also chosen in an effort to get more teams to apply. Better 10 teams of ten then 5 teams of 20. Quote
X-COFFIN-X Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 If a TEAM still wanted to stay with there 20+ person Roster are they still able to if they did not want to split up there Roster Quote
SgtJoeFriday Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 If a TEAM still wanted to stay with there 20+ person Roster are they still able to if they did not want to split up there Roster Correct. Only a full clan can maintain a roster over the 10. This is to encourage clans to join as a whole to have a larger roster, but also allowing other players without clans participating to join up and form their own "Temporary Clan". Quote
