Just to think just a few months later I walked into this building for the first time to settle into not only a job but a career. No more contract to contract work, excessive traveling and uncertainty on what is next.

Now I am making true progress with my life.

I have given up on the chance I will ever have a relationship at this point in my life. So the only thing I can do this holiday is make sure others can enjoy time with their families.

Every holiday that I can I take the on call during the holidays. I swing by an aunt's house or just sit at home cook something nice and relax.

That has become my norm and I'm pretty ok with that. Happy holidays to all and if you are fortunate enough to have a significant partner in life cherish that.
