For the most part, SOCOM is more popular because that is what started out here.

I think the only reason Riot Act was so big was because SOCOM was a dying game on an old system. Call of Duty 4 was a fresh game, and on a new next gen system.

So, with the SOCOM tacmap coming next month, and the fact that World at War isn't as popular as Modern Warfare, I don't think that many will support it.

I am waiting for Modern Warfare 2 though, can't wait!

If you guys are counting on team switch to be here by March you are sadly mistaken.

Slant Six has plenty of other things to worry about then adding team switch like lag issues, and giving us new downloadable content like new maps and new guns.

I miss the no team switch, but it looks like this is what it's going to be for a while.

I thought it was you had to win by rounds. The tie-breaker on SOCOM is so screwy. So, I don't think the win would be awarded because you won the SOCOM tie-breaker.

I am pretty sure you have to win by rounds on Black, so TacMap should carry over the same ideal?

But, it is a good post. People in public rooms do it all the time.

You could probably get the mattress, lcd tv, and the laptop for around $1600...

I have to say this. It is good to get a win, and find a way when you are outplayed, which we were today. We lost 5 games this year, and outplayed the other team in 3 of them (Pitssburgh twice and Tennessee).

It is just good to see it the other way around for once. That was one hell of a game. As a Ravens fan, I will be the first to admit we got some calls. But hey, you can't blame it on officiating when you turn it over 3 times inside the 25 yard line.

The lag is so bad. I mean, I would rather it not allow us to play then this.

The timer goes up, like one round started 6:07. And it goes down to 50 seconds and back up to 1 minute.

LOL. If the Yankees do not win the world series, they fail. Five players, Arod, Jeter, Burnett, CC, and now Tex will make over a 100 million a year, which is more then about 25 teams with a 25 man roster. It's just disgusting, and my hate towards the Yankees grow larger. 250 mil was enough, but now a add 170? HAH. There really needs to be a salary cap on baseball.

Oh well, the Yankees should get in the playoffs, but will get bounced out as always.

Well Turtle Beach just came out with a headset that is compatable with the PlayStation 3. If you heard of it, it was usually only for the 360.

I was just wondering if anyone had this headset for the 360, and what their thoughts were because I am interested in picking it up.

That was the best podcast I have heard. I was laughing out loud a few times, no joke. There are too many things to single out. That was just great, good job.

So it was on first down, and it was pretty close to field goal range. 2nd and 3 at the 37 is right there, the personal foul just made it easier. So again, it wasn't a game changing call.

I still don't even know how that was even a factor in changing the "pace" of the game. That was a first down play in your territory. It was a gain of 7 yards, so really that doesn't change anything. Maybe if it was a 3rd down play that extended the drive, but that wasn't the case at all.

yeah whatever, once again another sorry ass call to ruin the pace of the game. IE the 15 yard penalty which turned into a FG for them. Guy only had one foot out.

 

Its all besides the point now, i got nothing else to say. I give up, next season Ill be back on watchin them again though.

Come on Dave you should know better then that. Yeah I am a Ravens fan, but you honestly can't blame that call on the outcome of the game. Sure it wasn't a flagrant foul, but he clearly was out of bounds and was hit with his arms extended which is against the rules. Want to know what changed the pace of the game? The fake field goal run, that was when the momentum changed.

Also, there was 2 different occurances where you had 3 timeouts to stop us. Need I say what happened?

Your first field TD was set-up by Ware, and that was it. Those other drives are given in a prevent D. The Ravens outplayed them in all phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams, and coaching.

I don't hate the Cowboys, but you really can't blame a personal foul call that ruined the whole game. Don't get me started on those with the Ravens (ie Steelers, Titans, Patriots last year).

Wow. All I have to say is wow. I was at a party (Ravens) and those runs back to back was is undescribeable. I can only imagine what those Boys fans (Jaxon and AT3) when they ripped through like that.

I actually like Dallas. I like Wade, and he's going to get fired lol. I feel bad.

Actually I don't mind New York, only in baseball. I don't like the New York Mets, and all those other teams with 150 mil+ salary.

When you set the bar that high, you guys have to win the world series. You might blow a quarter of a billion dollars in just a couple hours on two pitchers.

That's why the NFL is so great, because of a salary cap. There is almost a differnt competitor every year, except for like the Lions. But I just love it when I see a small market team like the Rays, the Angels and Twins own.

The Yankees are a joke. The only reason why they are comepetitive every year is because there is no salary cap on baseball. The Yankees get players like Sabathia because they put out 60 MILLION more dollars then the other offer. It is not fair to the other teams, like the Rays, who were American League Champions with less then a quarter of what the Yankees pay their players.

Sure, they Yankees have some solid talent that was home grown, but they can only compete with these high end free agents.

It's just funny to see the Yankees and their 200+ million dollar payroll fail to make the playoffs. You can honestly compare it to a BCS football team losing to a WAC team.

Oh and Sabathia will be a good fit in New York. Because he blows in the playoffs, haha.

I do not like Dallas just because they are Dallas, a bunch of individuals with egos over there.

However, I am a Ravens fan so I despise the Steelers. I think Big Ben is a baby, and one of the most overrated quarterbacks in the league.

So, I am rooting for Dallas today.

You think Tebow will be a franchise QB? He isn't an NFL quarterback. I see him being picked up for other reasons. Maybe he will come in and run a wildhog formation 10-12 plays a game.

 

Yes I do. He's got a great arm and can make all the throws. He's extremely smart though he does need to sit a year or even two. But he definitley can be a NFL FRANCHISE QB. I've seen enough from him to prove that.

I just don't see him being a full-time QB. I think he gets drafted mid-late first round. I think he will be used as a tight end, or for trick plays, kinda of like a Randel-El type. He isn't an NFL quarterback. How many times has he been under center? He isn't a 5-step drop QB. He has an awkward throwing style, and he isn't the most accurate of passers.

I'm not putting him down, I am a big Tebow fan. He is a great player and leader.

And hell, he could probably stay another year in Florida, especially if they lose to Oklahoma. He has already said academics are more important then football.

They are not out of order. If each lower seed advances, then the teams playing seeds would equal 9.

The brackets were done SOOO wrong guys. I know I'll get the standard "its just an evaluation tournament" answer but they were NOT set up to allow the seedings to work like they should.

 

In our bracket after 1 match the #1 seed is playing the #3 and the #2 is playing the #4. A 16 team bracket is seeded like this:

8 v 9

 

7 v 10

4 v 13

 

3 v 14

5 v 12

 

6 v 11

2 v 15

You are exactly right. I said it last week, and I know it was stressed. There still is time to change it... The first round was not effected, but rounds after are which start next week.

But yeah that is exactly how they should be set-up. I've never saw another bracket form where an #8 and #7 would play the same time a #1 and a #3.

Team Switch should be an option in custom made rooms. As far as ranked public rooms, I think it's fair. I hated joining a Demo Medley in S3 and everyone was always on Terrorists because they had an advantage. It makes it completely fair.

But, team switch should be an option to turn off for rooms that are made for wars and stuff.
