Greetings everyone! I’m Jovan, Technical Artist at Ebb Software. The whole team here found joy in bringing you nightmarish experiences that will fully immerse you into somber tapestries. And today we’re excited to reveal that our first game, Scorn, will come to Playstation 5 later this year. Play Video Many of you here may be new to Scorn, so for those less familiar with the game, you are about to experience a horrific adventure like no other. Trapped and stranded in a strange biomechanical world, you must make your way through a civilization in decay, now inhabited with twisted and grotesque creatures. While you will be able to wield various weapons in the game, Scorn is not a shooter, and each encounter can quickly turn deadly. Ammo and life are scarce, and your wits will often advise you to avoid direct confrontation. Instead, to progress through this mesmerizing labyrinth, you will have to revive and activate abandoned contraptions, part machine, part flesh, all horror. We like to compare it to the experience of a nightmare. Most often, nightmares are described as strong subjective experiences that can be intensely distressing and frightening, eliciting emotional responses in dreamers, and causing feelings of fear, anxiety, and terror. Scorn tries to offer these emotions to its players in a very subtle manner through a somber atmosphere and its gloomy corridors. Immersive power of PS5 As we were developing the game for PlayStation 5, we finally had the opportunity to tap into the potential of the DualSense wireless controller to immerse you even further in this twisted world, extending the synesthetic experience of Scorn. It allows us to deepen the player’s immersion and to let the whole world “breathe” in a new way. Since there is no spoken dialogue in the game, we have put a strong emphasis on environmental storytelling, hence haptics are a great addition to this peculiar audio-visual experience. The main character in the game interacts with the world mostly by using his hands. Most of these interactions are also painful for the character. That’s where haptics comes into play. The imagery offered to the player’s eyes is painful by itself, but we wanted to increase this feeling by giving a sensation to the hands holding the controller. Players are also able to feel the directions of haptics (left or right hand), further adding to the experience. From the smallest interaction, such as feeling the low rumble of an organic head-mounted display to the situations in which players find themselves in dire and dangerous encounters, the DualSense controller haptics elevate the feeling of immersion by balancing the intensity of vibration according to in-game sounds. We have also made immersive use of the DualSense controller adaptive triggers when the player needs to use tools and weapons to survive. Every weapon or tool has a subtle, but different feeling of weight. For example, the piston-like melee tool, used to operate different contraptions, and occasionally in desperate attempts of self-defense, has a specific resistance in the trigger that when used alongside the haptics, enhances the desired effect. Finally, the DualSense controller light bar represents the health of the player, changing colors in appropriate situations. It is a small addition to the otherwise very minimalistic HUD in Scorn. The idea is that a player can get a piece of immediate information on their HP status while playing the game. Balancing the DualSense controller features was not an easy task but with coordination between TechArt, Programming, and Audio teams, we have successfully pulled it through and made something special for PlayStation 5 players. We are also very proud to announce that following popular demand, a physical version of the game will be available at the same time as the digital version, including a digital artbook, digital version of the Original Soundtrack composed by Aethek & Lustmord, and, only available at selected retailers, an exclusive SteelBook: We can’t wait for all PlayStation fans to delve into our mesmerizing world later this year. Stay tuned for more information! View the full article

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a big RPG. A great, big, uncompromising RPG! It shows in the numbers: more than 170 hours of cinematics and featuring three times more cinematic dialogue than all three The Lord of the Rings novels combined, a library of more than 600 spells and actions, and plenty more. Dungeons & Dragons is all about player freedom – the freedom to define your character, to explore vast territories with your allies, and decide the fate of the world. We’ve spent the last six years bringing the unlimited freedom D&D is known for into the realm of video games. We’ve written two-million words of dialogue across the thousands of characters that populate the world of Faerûn, with an exhilarating story and in-depth character creation that puts you at the helm of the adventure. The dice may define your luck, but you define the story. Originally due to launch on August 31, we’ve decided to release Baldur’s Gate 3 for PS5 on September 6. This brief delay allows us more time to achieve our ambition of 60 frames per second, thanks to the power of PlayStation 5. For those of you who purchased our gigantic Collector’s Edition (limited stock still available), don’t worry, we’ve got your back. We’ll be emailing you codes so you can jump in on September 3, at the start of the September 3 72-hour Early Access period that comes with the Deluxe Edition. We’ve talked about how Baldur’s Gate 3 is an ambitious game, so let’s take a look at some of the features you can expect when it launches on September 6, or for those of you with the Deluxe Edition, September 3. Create a character who looks like you, or make something completely different Whether you have the stature of a gnome or the muscle tone of a half-orc, it all begins with a hero. Character creation is such a central part of D&D, and in Baldur’s Gate 3, we wanted players to experience the same kind of freedom when shaping their own identity. Who you are, what you look like, and how you want to play is up to you. Define your body type, your age, and looks – right down to the highlights in your hair. Baldur’s Mouth will be writing about you, so it’s important you make a bold impression. You steer the adventure. Well, a version of you based on your choice of Human, Dwarf, Githyanki, Elf, Drow, Tiefling, Halfling, Half-Elf, Gnome, Half-Orc, or Dragonborn. But how you appear doesn’t define who you are. That’s why we’ve 12 classes from D&D, including Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard, with a total of 46 subclasses between them for some extra spice and specialization. Or should you not want to choose, you can create a hybrid class through Multiclassing. Get as macro or as micro as you like. Friends, lovers, and enemies Whether exploring Faerûn with your companions in single-player or playing with friends in split-screen multiplayer, your story is shaped by the company you keep, the bonds you forge, and the enemies you make along the way. On your long rests between battles and quests, you’ll make camp with others who have undergone the unfortunate process of tadpole insertion into their brains. While Baldur’s Gate 3 offers in-depth character customisation, you can also play as an Origin character: authored, playable protagonists each with their own stories, desires, and alignments. You don’t have to play as an Origin to enjoy their story and companionship; you may also recruit Origin characters into your party. You may meet others on your journey that can be of help to you; some new friends, and some familiar faces. From the fires of Avernus Karlach is an example of an Origin character, who (if not played) can be recruited into your party. With a giant battleaxe in hand, this battle-worn tiefling barbarian packs a mean blow. Some say it’s her years of experience on the scorched battlefields of the Blood War. It could also be the unholy machine that pumps hellish fire through her veins, a gift from the archdevil she once served. But be careful – if she gets too worked up, she could destroy anything she touches, and that includes you. Like a cast die, every decision you make in Baldur’s Gate 3 has the potential to alter the course of your story. As you create your legacy, the people of Faerûn take note of your actions, chart your adventure, and make their own judgements based on their own inclinations and expectations. The decisions you make in-game have far-reaching near and long-term effects – but every choice you make is valid; it’s your story. Unless you die. Whatever you did then was probably a bad idea. These decisions also affect your relationships with your companions. Whether it’s an impish vampire spawn or a beefy archdruid in the middle of a wild shape transformation, in Baldur’s Gate 3 you can romance almost all of your camp companions. And, depending on how you interact with them, you may see different romance scenes for several of these characters during your replays. Relationships in Baldur’s Gate 3 develop and blossom, or grow sour and dwindle just as in real life. They require maintenance, and are based on genuine admiration from the perspective of each character’s general point of view about the world, and your actions within it. The dating world in Baldur’s Gate 3 is your oyster. It is what you make it… well, give or take a few dice rolls. But we’ll leave some of the more intriguing visuals for Panel From Hell: Release Showcase, which is airing July 7 – where you’ll also have the chance to meet our seventh and final Origin character. Now that C-Smash VRS has launched into orbit on PlayStation VR2, players across the globe are starting to discover its many cosmic delights. Play Video We have decided to stay true to the game’s minimalist roots – it is based on Sega’s console and arcade classic – and encourage players to discover new techniques and powerups and to improve their skills with each new playthrough. Here are six features, techniques and options you might not have yet discovered – and a teaser for what’s to come… You are a magnet While the game will push your body and mind to the limits, a subtle feature will help when you – or the ball – may be feeling cornered. Moving sideways will attract the ball in that direction, even from a distance, allowing you to move the ball out from behind a block for instance. You’ve got the power Look at your racket. With each consecutive successful ball hit, your racket will gradually fill up. Once full, use the trigger on the racket hand (R2 by default) to activate the Power Smash. Keep holding it down while you’re hitting the ball to perform it. Left, right, don’t matter Whether you’re left- or right-handed or just like to change things up a bit, you can easily switch racket hands in the menu. Note that you can also decide which hand to have the lateral movement stick assigned to. Space commander Lateral movement is your friend. Feel the fluidity of moving left and right, even without the ball in play. Soon you will feel like you’re dancing and will be able to catch balls which previously might have seemed impossible to reach. Rogue one The single-player Journey map adds unique rogue-like progression to our futuristic sports game. Choose your own path through the cosmos and hop from orbit to orbit, your paths randomly generated with each new playthrough. Discover new power-ups along the way, such as the Launcher. Sit down, stand up We want C-Smash VRS to be enjoyed by everyone. Do you prefer to play seated? Do you have a smaller play space? Fear not, your height will be adjusted to match other players. And you’ll be able to reach low balls by using the squat button. Unfolding the cosmos There is so much more to discover in C-Smash VRS and, like the cosmos itself, the game will keep growing in the coming weeks. Coming soon, entirely for free: Co-Op: so you can enjoy C-Smash VRS with someone else without the pressure to compete. Infinity Mode: this mode will let you play forever* in a dynamically generated arena that will keep changing along with the music. Imagine working out to the world’s greatest DJ set. Music Player: the music is so good, we’ll give you the opportunity to just chill and listen to the mixes. And we won’t stop there. See you in space, fellow Cosmonaut. And always remember to have a blast. View the full article

Gran Turismo players! The 1.35 update for Gran Turismo 7 arrives today June 28 at 11pm PDT* / June 29 at 7am BST / 3pm JST. Play Video Introduction of 3 New Cars Aston Martin Valkyrie ’21 A uniquely shaped hypercar with F1 derived aerodynamics. Aston Martin is one of Britain’s most beloved luxury sports car manufacturers. This hyper car, the Valkyrie, is a result of their near 110 years of experience in the field combined with the expertise of F1 constructor Red Bull Racing. The design started from an idea for an innovative road car devised by Red Bull Racing’s designer and aerodynamics expert Adrian Newey. Newey took his proposal to Aston Martin where he made a connection with their chief designer Marek Reichman. In 2016, the project began in earnest as ‘AM-RB 001’. The car developed under the AM-RB 001 codename was first unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, along with its official name, the Valkyrie. Production versions of the Valkyrie were first seen in 2021, taking form as a uniquely shaped hyper car which incorporated F1 derived aerodynamics with the Aston Martin design language. The high nose of the car is equipped with an underslung wing and creates powerful downforce through the Venturi tunnels running under the body. Between them sits the teardrop shaped cockpit where the driver and passenger sit feet-up in the style of a formula car. Extensive lightening has been implemented across the carbon-fiber body with even the Aston Martin nose emblem being reduced to a 70-micron thick piece of aluminum. As a result, the car weighs roughly 1,000 kg, achieving an astonishing power-to-weight ratio of 1.01 kg/BHP. Hard mounted to the rear of the cabin is the hybrid power unit, a Cosworth 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 engine with KERS (kinetic energy recovery system). The total output of the system is 1,140 BHP putting the car on par with even top category racing machines. The Valkyrie was first available in a limited run of 150 coupe models, which sold out almost immediately despite the price tag of over 2M pounds. The coupe was followed by the ‘AMR pro’ Le Mans style competition model and an open-top ‘Spider’ model. This pinnacle of performance is notable as one of the first hyper cars to reach the level of an LMP1 machine. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR ’95 Improved aerodynamics and cooling make for the ultimate first wave ‘Evo’. The Lancer Evolution was launched in September 1992. Starting with the compact body of the commercial Lancer saloon and adding Mitsubishi’s mechanisms used only for the WRC-grade Galant VR-4, the Lancer Evolution became a rally-oriented car. At the core of this car was the 4G63, a turbocharged 2.0 L DOHC inline-4 engine, already producing 246.5 BHP and 31.5 kgfm of torque at the time of its debut. With overwhelming traction and power delivered to all four wheels, it was already much faster than any other model in its class. One year after its creation, in December 1993, the improved Lancer Evolution II was revealed, with its maximum power output increased to 256.4 BHP. The tyres were also changed to 205/60R15, and modifications to the wheelbase and the tread size were also implemented. Around this time, it started to be called by its famous nickname, “Lan-Evo”, by the Japanese fans. Another evolution happened in January 1995. The 3rd generation, called Lancer Evolution III, saw its exterior drastically modified to improve aerodynamic performance. With a larger opening in the front bumper and a larger rear spoiler, it now had the powerful look of a vehicle focused on competition. The compression ratio of the 4G63 power unit was raised to 9.0, improving maximum power output to 266.3 BHP. Detailed changes and enhancements were also made to the suspension, and these changes greatly improved both engine performance and maneuverability. At the time, the base Lancer model was about to receive a full model change, and it was rumored then that the Evo III may in fact be the last Evo. Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi ’04 2nd generation Impreza which was developed alongside the rally spec model. Just one year after the release of the radical Spec C, in November 2002, a facelift was already being implemented in the Impreza series. Though loved by many, the previous round headlights proved to be unpopular on the mass market and were abandoned in favor of imposing new teardrop-shaped lights. This time, under joint development with the SWRT (Subaru World Rally Team), new expertise facilitated the creation of better aerodynamic characteristics. On the performance side, a twin-scroll turbo system was introduced for better spool efficiency along with a modified exhaust system to match. The crankshaft, along with the pistons and conrods were reinforced enabling the engine to produce 40.2 kgfm, the highest torque figure in the 2-litre class at the time. Some manual transmission models were also equipped with a driver-controlled center differential featuring an automatic mode. Depending on the conditions while cornering, the distribution of torque to the front and rear of the central differential was divided automatically, and the car demonstrated tremendous effectiveness on both circuits and winding roads. In June 2004, a model with larger tires was introduced. This was in response to demands from the motorsport field, such as in the Super Taikyu Endurance racing. The maximum torque was also increased to 42.0 kgfm at this time. The Impreza found its way to fame as one of Japan’s most representative high-performance cars, recognized by enthusiasts the world over. From 2003, the exportation of the STi model to America began, and with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution also starting exportation, the fierce rivalry reached further outside Japan’s borders. Car Livery The livery for the ‘Anest Iwata Racing RC F GT3’, driven by Igor Omura Fraga in the Super GT, has been added. This livery can be selected when purchasing the Lexus RC F GT3 ’17 in Brand Central. GT Café Extra Menus The following two Extra Menus have been added: Extra Menu No. 24: ‘Subaru WRX’ (Collector Level 26 and above) Extra Menu No. 25: ‘Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution’ (Collector Level 30 and above) Music Rally The following six events have been added: Good Old Days (Classixx Remix) DRIFT Marechià (With Célia Kameni) Hooked on America Life’s Coming in Slow Moon Over the Castle GT7 version Two new Scapes ‘Monterey and ‘Field of Flowers’ have been added to the featured section. Hello Travelers! The Genshin Impact developer team is back with the latest information on the upcoming Version 3.8 “Secret Summer Paradise” arriving on July 5. As summer returns to Teyvat, it’s time to join Klee for a getaway into an uncharted land! In the meantime, Klee and Kaeya will also be presented with their new outfits! By exploring the limited-time map and collecting Joyeux Vouchers, you can exchange them for Kaeya’s new outfit as well as a variety of resources to continue preparing for your long journey this year. An Adventure Full of Twists and Turns Unlike the island getaway we experienced in the past two years, our destination this time is an unknown oasis named Veluriyam Mirage, which is inside a magic bottle located somewhere in the desert. The terrain here features steep hills and deep valleys, making it difficult to explore on foot. That’s why we’ve prepared two game modes in the open world to make your exploration easier: Choo-Choo Cart and Preprint. Amidst valleys and hills, the winding tracks of the rollercoaster-like Choo-Choo Cart will take you high in the air or deep into caves rich in treasure. During the ride, passengers can fire the Jubilant Wave equipment on the Choo-Choo Cart to complete certain challenges. Therefore, it’s time to try out the “Preprint” game mode, which allows you to enter a two-dimensional space with “Streaming Projectors” to finally obtain the hidden treasures. Interacting with a variety of external objects affects the layout of the Preprint, which you can use to your advantage to solve the puzzles and access the treasures within. At various locations, you may encounter the “Sojourns of the Barking Fox” challenge and join speed races by controlling the toy Barking Fox. The third game “Dance of Flashing Thought” is a combat challenge where eliminating opponents will accumulate Honed Will to obtain powerful combat buffs. In addition, “Bing-Bang Finchball” will introduce a shuffleboard-esque game, where players have to place as many Finchballs as possible in high-scoring zones, and two kinds of special Finchballs will be available to improve the situation, to either attract or stick to other Finchballs on the board. Besides those games, the open-world exploration of Veluriyam Mirage can also lead you to collect Joyeux Vouchers scattered around so as to redeem all manner of rewards, including Kaeya’s new outfit. More Happenings in Teyvat Version 3.8 also welcomes the return of old companions. In the first half of Version 3.8 Event Wishes, Klee and Eula will arrive with their reruns. Sangonomiya Kokomi and Wanderer will also have their reruns during the second half of Event Wishes. In addition to Kaeya’s new pirate-themed outfit, a mage-styled new outfit for Klee will also be available. You may also find out more about Kaeya in his Hangout Event. On top of that, Genius Invokation TCG will also receive a new update with a PvE mode and several new Character Cards. In the new game mode “The Forge Realm’s Temper: Endless Swarm,” players need to defeat endless waves of enemies in a set number of rounds by better utilizing their deck of cards and the special rules and buffs. Aside from this, Candace, Yanfei, and Kaedehara Kazuha will join as the three new Character Cards into the expanding TCG library.
