Since the launch of Hogwarts Legacy last year, we’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of support and love from players and fans. There are millions of new students now attending Hogwarts themselves, and we wanted to give a small thank you to everyone with a free update bringing a highly requested feature to the game: Photo Mode! Photo Mode image of Hippogriff over the Black Lake at sunrise. Hogwarts Legacy’s Photo Mode lets you harness your inner photographer to compose and capture screenshots of your favorite characters, moments, and locations throughout the game. Whether inside the halls of the eponymous castle or out in the rolling hills of the surrounding Scottish Highlands, players can now use a variety of camera tools to get the perfect shot and remember their experiences in the wizarding world. Photo Mode image of Hippogriff flying past Hogwarts. Hogwarts Legacy Photo Mode Features To enter photo mode, simply pause the game and tap the Square button. Once you are ready to take the screenshot, hide the Photo Mode UI with the Square button and tap the Create button on your DualSense wireless controller or Share button on your DualShock 4 controller. Check out the full list of features at the bottom of this article. Photo Mode image of Hippogriff over the Black Lake during daytime. Additional update features Along with the Photo Mode, we have a few other small additions and features included in this update. Talent point reset Players can now reset their talent points from the Field Guide menu to try out different playstyles. You can either fully reset your allocated talent points, or individually undo specific talent points. Each talent point you reset will cost 200 gold. New cosmetics We’ve brought a few new cosmetic items to Hogwarts Legacy to add a fresh look to your next playthrough. Our artists were inspired by one of the wizarding world’s most famous Azkaban escapees to make the Azkaban Coat and Azkaban Prisoner’s Outfit. Last year, we showed off The Glasses That Lived in our Hogwarts Legacy Easter Egg video. Many players asked us how they could get their hands on them, and we’ve finally rescued these circular taped spectacles from the cupboard under the stairs so you can wear them for yourself. You’ll also get the Onyx Hippogriff mount, as well as the new Lavender Borealis broom. In addition, we’ve made several bug fixes and optimizations for players. Thank you for all your support for Hogwarts Legacy! The Hogwarts Legacy Summer 2024 update is available to download now on PS5 and PS4, free for all players! Share your favorite captures from the Photo Mode with us using the hashtag #CaptureTheUnwritten, and we’ll see you at Hogwarts. Hey everyone! After revealing Concord last week, we’re excited to continue unpacking more about the game and answering your questions in the days and weeks ahead, beginning today with more information about how you and your friends can check out our upcoming beta, details on the physical and digital editions of the game for PS5 and PC¹, and how you can get early access to Concord when it launches in August. From the very beginning, we wanted Concord to be a complete multiplayer-focused experience that combines engaging gameplay, rewarding progression, and a robust roster of characters, maps, and game modes right out of the gate, while also creating a platform for us to evolve and expand the game and universe over time. When it launches in August, Concord will debut in a standard edition (available in both physical and digital versions for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,480 MSRP) that provides the full Concord experience, including all 16 playable Freegunners, 12 unique maps set on various worlds, and six distinct team-based game modes, which will expand shortly after launch with regular, post-launch updates for all players at no additional cost. Alongside the Standard Edition, we will also have a Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 / ¥6,480 MSRP) that includes additional cosmetics to personalize your Freegunner crew and, for those eager to jump in and play, early access to Concord when it launches this August. The Digital Deluxe Edition will grant up to 72 hours of early access before Concord’s global launch on August 23. It also includes the Northstar Freegunner’s cosmetics pack, which grants you 16 Northstar themed Freegunner outfits; one for each of the 16 playable Freegunners available at launch. Get Vale’s Monarch Pack and early access to the Concord beta We’re excited for you to meet and learn more about the characters of Concord, including Vale—an adept sniper who you saw in our gameplay reveal trailer using her biomechanical legs to leap above the battlefield and land precision shots on enemies. To receive the Monarch Pack cosmetic pack, which includes the Monarch Frontliner outfit for Vale and Dead Reckoner weapon skins for her sniper rifle and side-arm. You can, pre-order the standard edition of Concord or purchase the Digital Deluxe at any time. Seeing Vale and the other Freegunners in action in gameplay footage is one thing, but there’s no substitute for experiencing the game for yourself. That’s why we’re hosting a pre-launch beta, simultaneously on PS5 and PC with cross-play support. Those that pre-order will have an opportunity to be among the first to play Concord—and you’ll be able to bring your friends. Pre-ordering any edition of Concord will grant you five codes for our Beta Early Access weekend in July, allowing you to team up with your friends on PS5 and PC and take on rival crews across the galaxy. Stay tuned for more details about the Beta beta in the coming weeks, including the dates of Early Access and Open Beta, and more. Pre-orders for PS5 are now live at participating retailers, PlayStation Store, and direct.playstation.com. Pre-Purchase for PC on Steam and the Epic Store. Liberty’s greetings, Helldivers! Are you ready to learn all about the new Viper Commandos Warbond? Firstly, we have been listening to your feedback as we develop our Warbonds in general. The idea behind each Warbond is to allow our Helldivers to roleplay their favorite soldier fantasies within our universe, but it’s important that these are fantasies that actually appeal to our players. Based on player input, we’re changing our approach to Warbonds moving forward in a couple of ways. Firstly, we’re slowing down the pace at which we release Warbonds to give us a little bit more time to polish these designs before they’re released. We don’t want to rush anything out of the oven before it’s fully baked. Secondly, we are changing the arrangement of items in each Warbond to make room for new item types, and also higher quality armor and weapons. This will prevent us from simply adding more of everything, which can lead to weapons that feel redundant and uninteresting armor. It’s time to focus on quality over quantity. When we started researching items for Viper Commandos, we wanted to be sure we answered our player calls for stronger theming that coordinates across all the items, more emotes, unique armor passives, and more thoughtful designs rather than simply giving more of the same. We can’t wait for players to get a hold our latest addition, so let’s dive into what’s in store. Play Video Think jungle. Think swamp. Think about a hot, humid trek through an untamed, marshy wilderness to do reconnaissance on some unliberated scum. If you ask me, this is our strongest themed Warbond yet, with Helldivers equipped from head to boots with the finest tools to live out their jungle combat dreams. What kind of tools, you ask? Weapons The items in the Viper Commandos set really sell that fantasy of “up close and personal.” For a primary, we’re giving you a new version of the Liberator, the AR-23A Liberator Carbine, but this one has a modified, shortened form-factor that handles differently from the true classic, with a bit higher recoil, but faster handling that feels perfect for spraying and praying up close. You can combine carrying that with the new SG-22 Bushwhacker triple-barrel, sawed-off shotgun with two different firing modes, including one that fires all three barrels at once. Yes, you read that right. This shotgun is a secondary weapon. Meaning you can equip your favorite AR primary, or your favorite shotgun primary, and keep the Bushwhacker handy for close encounters. Armor And the armors are nothing short of inspired. Catch me in the PH-9 Predator, inspired by a veteran of the Viper Commandos who was said to have held off an entire Terminid brood with nothing but a machine gun, pocket knife, and Orbital Laser. The headpiece has a beret, and it looks devastatingly cool when combined with the Mark of the Crimson Fang cape. We also have the PH-202 Twigsnapper for your jungle heavy, which looks awesome with the Executioner’s Canopy cape. Although, mixing and matching works great for both of these sets. Both armors in this Warbond feature the Peak Physique passive, which improves melee damage and weapon handling. They both also feature bare arms (and bulging biceps, with a variety of randomized skin tones) to keep you sweat-free when diving in the humid atmosphere. Patterns, boosters, and more Another exciting addition to this Warbond is new skins for your hellpods, Exosuits, and Pelican-1, inspired by the classic woodland and tiger stripe camouflage patterns. This pushes that customizable fantasy just a little bit further, for a really cohesive look for your squad. One of my things in Viper Commandos is our new utility item: the throwing knife. Imagine mowing down a crowd of Terminids and running out of ammo with only one bug remaining, no time to reload, so you dive backward and throw a hunting knife into its carapace right before it descends on you. There’s also a new booster called Experimental Infusion, which gives your stims the added bonus of boosting your movement speed and reducing the damage you take for a short time. We’ve also got capes, player cards, and emotes, too. Check out the rest of the items in the Viper Commandos Warbond: The Viper Commandos Warbond releases on June 13. Welcome to the jungle, Helldivers. View the full article
