  1. Congratulations to the Divine Knights for winning the first deployment of Aftershock. The Knights came out swinging from the beginning and were unrelenting in their pursuit of perfection. Tearing through the competition each and every round, they established their dominance in the Battlefield arena. They showed their preparedness by pummeling the competition with solid strategy and great teamwork. Divine Knights did a great job of switching up their game plans to keep their opponents guessing. They have set the bar extremely high for all future deployments, and are looking forward to defending their title.

Urgent Fury would like to thank all participants in our maiden voyage on Battlefield 3. We hope to see your clans return for the next installment.

  2. Gonna have to agree with ya there Rebel.... I played CS first, and then when Socom came out, the move over to it wasnt that bad (besides having to get use to Playstation controller....Socom and CS are close, but aslo differant... Socoms maps are alot bigger, but CS has move close range firefighting... And IMO Counter Strike is the ultimate test for people who love to snipe (camping is almost impossible)...

Any Socom fan should be foaming at the mouth to get this game. I know I cant wait for it to drop...

It's hard for me to get very excited for any game these days. The history of the franchise, or the developer doesn't matter. After all the BS gamers have endured over the last few years, it's near impossible to buy into anything they are selling.

I was just talking about the severe decline in games from years past with a friend. Sure the graphics of games are better than ever before. That's about the only thing. You can buy virtually any game and beat it within a day or two. The gameplay is always lacking one thing or another. Over complicated interfaces that never seem to work as intended. Remember when it took you WEEKS to beat RE or Tomb Raider. Hell even the first Socom campaign was a PIA to finish. Especially on expert. I may be a bit jaded I guess, but I can't get hyped until it's in my hand.

  3. We used to have a few, but with what I am hearing with the game things are keeping them interested for a long period of a time. I haven't played the game, so I don't know.

It's really a pretty stellar game. I finally got it and have been playing online the last few days. The biggest issues imo, are the host migration/lost connection problems, and the fact there is only one non-respawn game mode. In the games defense of the second point, it was designed to be respawn like BF is, I just would like to have seen more options.

  4. Aftershock is an invite event. You will have to wait until sign-ups open to submit an application. About 7 weeks.

The Squad ladder, is an open ladder. You can enter a team anytime. I haven't checked in a bit, so I'm not sure if teams are using it right now. You can usually find a clan here to challenge while you are waiting for the next tournament.

  7. Wow, Ruthless. You seem to know everything, so why not do it yourself? Go on, we will wait for you.

Battlefield is not a good game for a tournament. We are going to make it work, but it is going to require alot of extra bs, that is probably going to get messed up by someone, sometime along the way, which of course will lead to disputes. But hey, we've just been sitting around. Hell nobody on staff even plays Battlefield, but I think I can wing it. 7+ months. Ok. If you say so. Apparently you have a hole drilled into the Staff section and see everything that is being discussed there. You've found it out. All we've been doing is playing words with Friends and making fun on people. Not one single discussion about how to make these games work.

Finally a game comes out that looks to be what people have been waiting for, and you want it all rushed. Nice. Shane and others have told you multiple times that GR is being worked on. What more do you want? I know, you want to piss and moan and lay it at the feet of UF that we haven't had a tournament ready game in a long time. It's all our fault. Hell it's our fault too that many clans have virtually fallen apart in this same time frame. Is that what you want?

  8. Thanks Joe! I've been looking for a new book to pick up, and you just gave it to me. We have family reading time and I've been re-reading the original Grimm's Fairytales. Now I can get some freshness. Although the original GF is pretty cool. I haven't read it since I was a kid, and it's crazy how many of the stories have been made and remade over the years into something very far from those originals. Anyway's thanks for the book.

  9. I will set up a custom map rotation today. TDM will not be there, it's a worthless gamemode. The only time it has been is when I switch it to most popular to fill the room.

DH, it usually isn't on Hardcore. If enough people want it, we can add it. The problem with HC servers are the TK problems. Too many people TK people to take their vehicles, and we can't always be in the room to kick those clowns. I will check today also to see if we can turn the health down to HC levels and keep it ranked.

As for the large ticket numbers, it's a win/lose situation. I can guarantee that if one teams starts getting up big, the other team will start to leave in droves. Not to mention a single game taking 45 minutes plus to finish. Again, it's another thing that we can look at if the community wants it.
