Ok Um, my code isn't working. Insomniac says that some of us got the 'early access beta codes' by acquiring Socom: 4 early, so maybe this explains why some of us can get in now while they're testing the servers and everything:

Wanted to give you a head’s up about the Resistance 3 beta, when it’s launching and how you can get access. Starting next week, you may begin to see some of your favorite Insomniacs and others on PSN playing the Resistance 3 Beta. We are launching our Friends and Family beta next week in order to test our servers out before the mad rush of public beta users from SOCOM 4 and EU PlayStation Plus. We will be updating our servers, configs and patching the beta during the course of it to be sure we’re ready for the public beta in August, as well as the release of Resistance 3 on September 6th. We expect to run this Friends and Family beta over the next few weeks.

 

This is important, as many of you are holding early access vouchers to the public beta from SOCOM 4. The public beta is tentatively scheduled to begin in early August for those who got Early Access vouchers from specially-marked copies of SOCOM 4 in North America and for PlayStation Plus subscribers in SCEE territories."

Early access begins July 25...the codes were active briefly the other day when Shane posted this thread.

The open multiplayer beta for Resistance 3 begins during the first week of August, Insomniac Games confirmed during a panel at Comic-Con today.

 

The beta will includes modes Team Deathmatch and Chain Reaction. No word yet on which maps will be available.

I have actually been playing the beta a few days prior to Shane creating this thread. It is great so far, and I have had no issues. BooGey that link you posted is for Global Resistance which is a Tactical Map (TACMAP) game which their community members can participate in to unlock real in-game Resistance 3 items. I remember seeinga thread about a Patent Pending on TacMap gaming for online video games. I am wondering "Shane; did you give Insomniac a license to use your Patent Pending TacMap design, process & method"? Anyways; I am sure I will take the heat for that question all tho it's a good one. The Resistance 3 beta is great, and the game will be awesome. I can't wait for it to come out September 6, 2011.
